(during his Proposal video with ellie, ellie’s dad prayed over them both and jordan cried about what he was saying.) he’s talked about praying and worship music before and he’s sang a worship song during his stream once. saying breathe you in could also be a reference to selah, which is Stop, Exhale, Listen, Ask, Hear (I think). something other christian traditions use im pretty sure, which is the E in selah (exhale). basically they say breathe in a breath of the lord, fill your lungs, and exhale. hense the line “let me breathe you in, fill up my lungs just like an ocean”. (I’ve also heard a couple christian songs that say “fill my lungs” or “let me nreathe you in” in that exact verbiage.) another thing I hear is in the pre-chorus, which says “some say that im obsessed but they dont know you like I know you” aka those who don’t believe may say he’s too dependent with believing in ‘a god’, but they dont have the personal relationship that christians have with him. something else is when he says “hot rythem tryna slow it down, but it wont listen when you touch the ground” could just be a reference to how satin tries to take over your life with little things and make you go down the wrong path, but can disappear when you’re present with the lord (even when you’re not) who knows. I may be digging too deep into the lyrics but I think its a very possible guess! he also says “its not about a person, I guess it could be a love song but I’ll let you use your imagination “ which if you’re a christian, we all know god’s not human ✨ (or its about whiskey 💀)
