an old Sprint car driver myself. That was the best I've seen you drive since I first started watching you and Carly. Nothing timid about that run....no fear, just hard racing. Car looked to be on the edge the whole time. Those are the races I always enjoyed the most....when you leave nothing at all on the table!!! Great job!!
Nice seeing fellow competitors, friends, even your mom getting her hands dirty and Carly yelling out directions.
Excellent weekend Kiddo. You don't have to have the car perfect. Just drive it. What I saw was a driver with more confidence on the track this year from last at the Super Dirt Cup.
Now take that confidence with you to the Midwest and stand on the throttle. Will be great to watch you progress even more. Look out Knoxville. 😁 You can race and beat them. Allstars, WOO, makes no difference. Good luck.. 🏁
I was so stoked for this fastest four days and then Dirt Cup. Congrats Tanner, you and your team should be proud of the outcome. Huge growth as a team this year.
So cool to see other drivers and teams pitch in and help
Great job 🎉amazing sportsmanship shown by your fellow competitors
Love the attitude of head down, bum up. In my early days of racing I was told " if you feel you have a problem with the car, keep turning laps until the car talks to you and tells you what is wrong. If it is terminal, pull in, if you feel you can continue SAFELY then drive through it". I can see that in your driving and your approach to life in general. Keep at it and the results will come your way.
Great job Tanner and crew. You proved that you are the real deal and only getting better.
You and Carly are such fun to watch. Your parents taught you well, and God watches your races. If that steering box failed in the main, could have been way worse.
Love all ya'all.
You're really good and you analyze things very well very logically and methodically, that being said the way you're going I wouldn't be surprised to see you in Knoxville real soon.
Great job Tanner, that was a fast and furious race, awesome to watch. As you can see more & more fans love you, base on sheering, and the line at your trailer..👍
With what happened in the hot laps that was a great feature and glad you were able to move forward. 👍🏻 great job, Tanner, and crew.
Think that was the 1st time that I've ever seen a car run consistent laps without the front end coming down on the bars, even through the corners... AMAZING!!!
Great run Tanner,Carly should be up for crew chief of the year award. Congrats to the Holmes family and crew.👍
What a week! The chaos of this race revealed the toughness of your team--really outstanding. I was glad to see that you did not fade in the last 3-5 laps, but stayed after it and might have finished 4th with a little luck. Congratulations.
Awesome work Tanner & Crew! Keep up the great work.🙏🏻👍
Ahh, a broken wicker! I wondered why you kept doing wheelies down the straight😛
What a great run, the best I've seen you do against some very good opposition. The addition of your friend "Chris" as a crew chief helped you more than maybe you realise. All the top Sprintcar drivers have an experienced crew chief, so that's something to look at, moving forward.
Looking forward to your next adventure, mare. Cheers
Great come back. I know it must have been very hard putting the wreck behind you and racing as hard as you did. Happy 4th to all.
I don't miss those days of scrambling to fix something broken on the car in a limited amount of time. Man, Tanner, I'm so proud of you running up front in that crowd, that is surely an accomplishment. When I first started racing, all I heard was make laps and more laps, and you are doing that. I like how you have a level head and take care of your equipment, and you are also articulate and smart. That means a lot to an established team and sponsor looking for a driver. I got out of the sport in the late 1990s, so things have probably changed a lot since then, but from my experience you have a great future ahead. Take care of yourself and God Bless!
Keep up the hard work man Been watching a long way and you’ve progressed a ton man love the content keep it up bro
I myself help a dirt late model racer and I’ve noticed over the years that the racers are a family and try to help each other when possible
Awesome job from everyone to get you on the track, and then you made them proud with the way you drove. Great work from all of you.
Starks got the loudest cheers during driver introductions. Until they introduced TANNER HOLMES!!!
Fantastic job Tanner. You have really come a long way and done it with style.
I could not be more proud of you and the whole THR team. WOW! ✌✌
You continue to improve every time you get on the track. Good job Tanner ¡!!
Dang it Holmes Racing that was a left of a run I gotta say I loved everything about this race because of the adversity that y'all had to got through on this night alone to finish in 5th. I have to say if it was only able to be done the 18t needs wheelie bars lol. Thank you Tanner for sharing this video with us. May y'all continue to have a good one. Have fun take care
Way to go Tanner! You, your family, crew, and competitors did fantastic saving you from a DNF. You can be proud of that performance, you ran with the best and we’re competitive. 👍👍
Thank you!
Congratulations on the finish ! What a great race !👍
Considering what happened, you did a great job, your team, and all the others did an awesome job to get you out there. All you guys should be proud of the jod you all did.🏁👍
Might have been a $62k to win race, but that was a million dollar effort by everyone on your team, including yourself. Look forward to seeing you again in Hanford. Much love to you brother.
Way to recover and a big shout out to everyone that helped you get back on the track. 5th given what happened, and how tough that field was you should be stoked about your 410 program! Way to go.
If you ever have to give up driving, you have a future in broadcasting. You videos and narration are top notch! But keep having fun racing for now.
WOW!! Great job getting the steering box changed last minute! Earlier in your video just before you hit the wall, I called it as a steering box issue just by the position of the front wheels & attitude of the car.
I’ve always Loved how you’re competitors but everyone jumps in to help each other
Hi, Tanner, It looks like you and your Team turned a disaster into just an irritation, after all, finishing in 5th place against the best 410 sprinters in the west ain't no piece of cake, so-- Congratulations on a strong run. God Bless and stay safe.
Love how everyone came together to get you on the line.. Had that a happen a few years back when I was racing... Great running!
Great job dirt community is beyond greatness in teamwork
Great run. That show that you are one of the top guys.
Tanner you have a great career ahead of you. No doubts you will get the dirt cup trophy in the future. Keep up the hard work young man
Well done bro great finish. You have awesome car control and awareness. This is just the start of you journey. Much love from AUS
This young man will be very special in the future he has the right attitude and is quickly gaining the experience. He is also very likable and the videos are top quality.
Thank you!
Congrats guys, hell of a run!!!
Nice drive Tanner . Been watching your vids for awhile from PA . 👍😎
Great Stuff Tanner, you showed how much talent you have.
what a great finish. so glad to see you were happy about the finish. You had the speed to stick with the best in a big time race so that was great to see.
Dude, with these performances maybe y'all should be packing up and heading to Eldora
I guess you have not really lived until you attended a race like this...thes is freaking awesome racing man!
Hell of a dirt cup u have improved so muxh cant wait to see what this year brings
Great Job, You and the whole crew. During the race I kept saying, man this thing is carrying the front end way to much.
Thanks for showing the front wicker!
Good job Tanner great to see everyone helping you out
That’s as good as a win! Keep it up, Tanner!
Nice job Tanner you are making gains every race keep it up
Great job, awesome video!!
Looks like the car is bouncing on the right rear when you're on the cushion
Tanner I like your attitude, you deserve to be a WOO racer, and ability to go the distance.
Pulling the fronts over and over, respect
Great job great race thanks for the video
Great job especially with all the chaos.
Im from the east coast and just stumbled across your channel a couple days ago. Was kinda funny and sad listening to some of the car counts on some of the other videos. Id heard about it not being that big of a deal out west but didnt think it was that little. Selinsgrove, big diamond and bloomsburg are the closest near me and have counts normally 30+ on normal feature nights for 410 or 305. But then also we have 40- 50 tracks in the state to keep filled. Good luck rest of your season.
Great job, Tanner!
Great job
I heard the crew guy say “… wicker…” and that was my “aha” moment about why the front end was in the air so much!
Tanner! I’ve followed you since the Outlaw carts. You’ve done nothing but get better and better and better! Keep on keeping on! Can we get more alternative GoPro views? In car? Side views looking back etc! Otherwise keep racing running hard! Much love bro!
Great week overall. Go Tanner.
Great race young man with all the other stuff going on right before the race, be proud‼️👊👊👊👊👊 DO YOU EVER RACE AROUND KENNEWICK OR YAKIMA WAHINGTON I KNOW YAKIMA USE TO HAVE SPRINT CARS DURING THE FAIR AND I LOVE GOING TO THOSE. I DONT KNOW WHERE THEY HAVE THEM ANY WHERE ELSE I LOVE THEM‼️‼️‼️
Great race young fella.. my right foot was slammed to the floor watching you.. it's a little sore now :)
I like the racing cliches. "I can't say enough about all the ones who chipped in" "we just couldn't make it happen" , "we made it happen today". don't forget "I'd like to thank Valvoline, Pennzoil, the sponsor of todays race, my crew, my wife hahaha, I'd like to thank everybody who "made this happen today" "
out standing crew amazing .
GREAT JOB ALTOGETHER TEAM TOO !!! Just a tick off , keep it up, you will get there !!! CONGRATULATIONS THR !!! GOD BLESS !!!
Glad your okay after your wreck any way 5 th was real good congratulations to your team for getting it done
Solid week
Nice race Tanner! Skagit is a good track.
way to go. very good finish. If you would have had the steering at the end you may have got that 4th place. Gongrats on an excellent run at dirt cup.
Tanner that was some of your best diving keep up the great work
Thank you!
I think what we've learned is a veteran crew chief is key to moving the program forward. fantastic job.
Cheyenneb that's what I was not aware of when I am very sorry for not getting back with you in the last minute but we are still waiting on the final decision and we can discuss it with the way I am able to get better and I love you and not be able to make sure I have the right ↪ for the last two weeks and I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the way I am and I am very sorry for the last minute notice but I am a the time student and the way I am and the way I am doing this you are going to be a great asset for your life and I am able for the most excellent opportunity I can give to the company that is a very good fit ❤and the way I am able to get better and I love him and I love him and I love him and I love him and I love you are l
Love your thoughts on the fun some fun under yellow lol
Im quite sure you know how blessed you are with an amazing family. God is good to him all Glory should go. God Bless you Tanner and your family, Crew. It’s hard to be humble while living a dream life. One day you will look back and Remenise on all this.
You did a great job 👍
Man Tanner, looked like your front wheels were off the ground for half the race!!! Great job DaddyO!!! 👍👍👍
I hope the prize money you received helped pay for your expenses..!! Way to hang in there. Can't say you give up when the going gets tough..!!
Good run buddy, looked like it was a handful. Good driving though, the nose wing damage made the car real lite in the front…
Congrats did great
Nice job
Impressive!
Steering box?! Seeing the wheel standing, who needs a stinking steering box?!😉
In the early 90s the All Stars sprints were at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock GA. One of the favorites took a tumble during hot laps or the heat race. Hopefully I can come up with his name by the time I finish this post ! They drug the car into his pit and started throwing parts at it. Both wings of course and all the usual radius rods, drag link, tie rod , etc. The torque tube was visibly bent. He went on to win the race ! I did some lap times and they were in the 12 second zone. Totally amazing night. I still can’t come up with the guys name. One of the Blaneys was there and many other top drivers.
Frankie Kerr !!
Send it til u bend it… nice job.
Congratulations
Love it from Australia 😊
Hey after thrashing that car back together maintaining fifth with no front steering no wicker bill perfect stagger seems like you had the most to overcome so you actually won the race In my book nice work
It's all coming together for THR!! What a huge difference from last year.
Considering the title of the video i thought for sure you lost a motor. Good drive.
7:28 *OMG!* Two mysterious green UFO'S can be seen invading the track (from right to left)
Causation & Point Source for inexplicable yellow.
7:57 *OMG!* They are back, at higher altitude.
Bring your 360's To Fodge City Ks for the ASCS show The Steve King memorial race.
Tanner, what your number one goal as a sprint car driver, to make it to the World of Outlaws?, just work hard at it and you’ll make to the World of Outlaws.
Tanner, I think it's time for you to make the move east & start running with the big dogs as much as possible. Larson moved east, T-Mez moved out east. We got way more tracks & way more racing. You've proven that you're ready.
Where are these events located?
Are you gonna be at the Eldora million and the Kings Royal
Skagit Bro. Great job, next time Tanner. Trapper scotty,Alaskan
Hi Tanner you did well you had your crash you took your "repaired" car and drove the wheels off it. well don.. A shout out to the other drivers who came and gave a hand..
