Honestly as a collector of dice, that $10 box is awesome! My favorite starter of all time is definitely Chimchar. Ever since gen 4 came out, he's always been a main Pokemon on my team if possible.
I have so much personal nostalgia for Chikorita. When I was little my brother gave me a Chikorita plushie we named "Prince Leaf", it's been one of my top picks ever since. I love the designs of the whole line personally and don't really understand why people don't like it on a non competitive/offensive standpoint.

My favourite starter Pokemon from any gen is Cyndaquil! Gold and Silver were my first games (I use to play Blue and Red on my brother's game boy but they were "his games"... then Christmas came and I got my own gameboy, Pokemon Gold and Silver). I was addicted to them. Cyndaquil is so special to me.
I’d think it is a tough fight between bulbasaur, piplup and Totodile for me! But if I were to choose, probably the Totodile just cos of how iconic the design is :S

my favorite starter of all time would have to be mudkip. my first pokemon game was actually alpha sapphire back when i got my first 3ds. the first starter i ever chose was a little mudkip who i named "Mud" which holds a special place in my heart.
