    I like your idea of raising the shed, I'm going to look into doing it with lumber.

    Freaking amazing!!! This is exactly what I want to do, and your video series makes it look like I may be able to do it after all. Thanks

    this idea is great. the shed is not tall, you made it much more usable. I will for sure copy your idea

    I have the exact same but I didn't do a raised foundation. I wish I would've. Good idea!

    Your must be a Classic Series shed. I'm getting ready to build my 10x12, but it's a Select Series, so the panels are laid out differently. Watching your vids have given me a few ideas about framing inside. I'm also thinking of making an attic so I have some overhead storage at the back.

      Happy to help. Sounds like a great idea 👍🏻

      @@jeffdeshong I live in eastern Iowa, so we get some wild storms in the summer, and snow storms in the winter. I think doing some framing like you did would help it survive, especially from the weight of any snow and ice on the roof, which adds up in a hurry. I think 2x4s to reinforce the roof and sides would work well, and be pretty inexpensive.

      @@BB.......... the framing definitely added a ton of support. If we got more snow here I would support the roof too. I love the framing. Supper cheap and can do whatever you want with it.

    What is the outside dimensions of slab for the block foundation? And what is the outside measurements of the block foundation?I just bought this shed and now that you have the shed built was hoping you can share the best measurements to use. Thank you.

    • @jeffdeshong
      @jeffdeshong  7 месяцев назад +1

      The outer dimensions for the slab and block are the same. Mine is exactly 10ft x 12ft. Width wise my shed hangs over the side about a quarter inch on both sides. If I were to do it again I would make the slab/block foundation 10ft 2inches x 12ft.

    Looking at getting a very similar shed and had issues with the height. The raised foundation is a good idea. What size were the blocks you used, as I’m struggling to find the width of the frame to build a platform, before I purchase the shed?

    • @jeffdeshong
      @jeffdeshong  8 месяцев назад

      4inch blocks. I looked up the dimensions of the shed and built the foundation to match it the best I could. It was a little off but worked great.

  • @Z-Ack

    How did you fasten the frame to the block? And did you just use mortar to make the block wall? Or did you mount the block to the foundation with L brackets concreted into the slab to support the walls?

    • @jeffdeshong
      @jeffdeshong  Год назад +1

      I used tapcon anchors for the frame to block. I drilled holes into the concrete and put rebar connecting the block to the concrete

      @jeffdeshong hi. Those rebars are going through both layers of blocks, what is the distance between rebars, how did you managed to drill without cracking the blocks ? Thank you.
