so my team this press with 2 up front and 2 at half court and 1 player back roaming around the 3pt line to lurk long passes when the ball is inbounded one guard picks the man up and forces him to a side, the other guard rotates over to guard the middle, if the ball handler gets to right before half court the wing comes to trap and the opposite wing slides over to guard the cross court pass while the center who has been roaming goes to jump the closer pass@@jonathana6943
I noticed how the high pressure was similar to what Ten Hag did in Ajax (and has tried to do in United), BUT Bournemount also has a backup plan (a well-oiled transition to sitting deep) which Ten Hag doesn't and has lead to numerous goals and disasters like that 7-0 vs Liverpool. It's high press or nothing for him. Hopefully he learns something from this match.
Will NEVER happen with these players. Ten Haag needs more time before we start judging him EVEN we lose the next three matches. Unless we completely fall apart in the second half of the season
I don’t think he has tried to that at United enough at all in fact he’s gone away from that to suit the players he has which is ridiculous and eventually will cost him the job
Bournemout beat United because United have no presence in Zone 14 meaning they can't maintain attacking pressure while changing between angles of attack. That makes them very easy to defend against. If they try to force the issue they tend to lose the ball leading to counters. They generally get more and more frustrated and desperate as time goes on, especially when they are chasing a game, and they open up at the back. Simple.
Talking about players that aren’t good enough and inconsistency is fair enough. At the same time though surely a top class manager should be coming up with tactical solutions to win games, or at least not lose so badly. Especially against teams with much less resources.
Ten Hag is the coach who is addicted to his preferred (risky) playing style, without analysizing his players' capabilities and knowledge, balancing the dressing room's atmosphere, and encouraging his players to grow. He definitely is not the one who can manage the big club like MU.
@@soccerlungNo he has definitely changed what he originally planned to do with the club, he is being a lot more conservative with the current squad in terms of risk taking while still working on the counter-attacking play style. With the main team the risk factor will be a lot more obvious since he knows they will be more capable of that style of play, this is why he has bought the players he has. It is just unfortunate a lot of them are injured. This is not really an excuse though, the second team should still be a very solid team; we currently just lack more solid defenders that suit the style of play and our attackers need to be a lot more effective; they are getting plenty of shots but are not where near concise enough with them!
Really good video Given that Bournemouth played this game in yellow and Man Utd played in red, why are they represented by the colours on the board, ie Man U in beige and Bournemouth in red? Lol Other than that, good job
Looking back it's the floated balls to the midfield that Bournemouth are pouncing on. So the press may not be so 'interpretational' as having different triggers than we are used to.
JJ looks a little flat, but because of the chemistry and the love by Jon in the talking about Bournemouth's tactics, it works well regardless. Wouldn't always recommend having him send in the questions beforehand though. "this looks a bit risky...?" Half expected JJ to say the dot dot dot out loud. :D

They have been carried so hard by Rashfords insane form in the second half of last season. Actually really concerning that he fell off so hard so quickly.
