Yeah, it is not anything specific. 1-A just feels a bit to clear with how we have a group of people that are all identifiable, adding in someone will change a few dynamics in the group but it is not a bad idea. I guess for me it just feels like we know so little about class 1-B as well as Shinso, so it feels easier to just place him along with them. Beyond that I think it would probably be best this way story-wise. Shinso is a bit behind in terms of being trained in comparison to the two classes, so him training with Aizawa as well as being in class 1-B is like learning from two different angles.
I think he can utilize his skills in 1-A more than in 1-B due to their field experiences. But 1-B is a great choice because they focus more on the technicality of being a hero (as they have shown and proven in the Joint Training Arc) which could benefit his Quirk. Whereas in 1-A, they focus more on the bigger picture. Idk. Just my humble opinion. 😁

I feel like 1-A was the obvious choice for him since he uses a same support item as the 1-A teacher and he needs to keep a low profile since his quirk works best when his opponents don't know what his quirk is, same with 1-A's teacher.

Instead of taking the easy road aka 1-A he opted to join 1-B as there he can actually work hard to be the best hero he can be that can top Class 1-A. At the same time, have a plot going about the League of Villains joining the organization because they were discriminated against for their quirks. - Banish him to Class 1-B. Just another instance of Horikoshi not giving a f*ck about any characters other than All Might, All For One, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki. Even if Shinso had been in Class 1-A, he probably would’ve just been another ghost on the sidelines with a few meaningless lines. Or maybe he’d have a few episodes to shine like Iida did, before being banished to the background forever.
1B gets into less life threatening situations than 1A and are learning heroism the more traditional route. This is beneficial for Shinzo because if he were in class 1A, the differences between his experience and theirs would be more prominent simply because they’ve survived so much in such a short amount of time, and would continue to go through terrifying and threatening situations. Shinzo would struggle to catch up in that environment, he needs 1B’s safer and more traditional pathway that way he catching up feels more attainable and he’s not surrounded by people he has a hard time relating to.
