2024 Dongfeng eπ 008 in-depth Walkaround
The new vehicle is positioned as a 6-seater medium to large SUV. Built using a family-style design language, it shares a similar sensory experience with the Yipai eπ007. However, the Dongfeng Yipai eπ008 differentiates itself by adopting the currently popular through-type light group design, featuring an internal dot matrix light source that exudes a strong sense of technology. Additionally, the raised cabin cover ribs and the three-stage air deflector on the front surround enhance the vehicle's youthful appeal.
In terms of power, the plug-in hybrid model will be equipped with a 1.5T engine combined with a motor, delivering a maximum engine power of 108 kW and a pure electric range of 154 km. The pure electric model offers a maximum motor power of 200 kW and a cruising range of 636 km.
Regarding body dimensions, the new car measures 5002 mm in length, 1972 mm in width, and 1732 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3025 mm. The official pictures reveal a robust figure, with an overall body contour reminiscent of an MPV model, suggesting ample rear space. Notably, previous reports indicate that the plug-in hybrid model features low-wind resistance rims, while the pure electric version comes with 7-spoke rims and is equipped with side-view cameras.
