This is one of my absolute favourites!
I love this song ... ❤
What other inspiration does a soldier needs then knowing that a girl is patiently waiting for him to return?
You may also say the same about the famous German marching song Erika
I'm 40 and long since divorced. And no woman would be any motivation for me. Or man, to be clear =). I'd do it for a Dendy, though.
I'm of German heritage (my Grandparents were forced into Germany from Yugoslavia and Czecheslovakia, and my Grandfather was forced to fight for Germany... I think.
Truth is, he never spoke about it much, so I just have some second hand stories from my aunt, or 3rd hand from family in Germany. As well as some of my own suspicions.
Like how a big part of my family fled to South America after the war. I still have relatives in Peru.
And my Mum told me about a program the Nazis started that was basically like kamikaze planes, but used submarines instead. She told me how my Grandfather volunteered for the program. But the war ended before anything happened.
It's all confusing. And with them both dead, and me only being in contact with my mum and aunt, I don't have a lot to go on anymore.
I've wanted to take a DNA test and see just how much Slavic I jave in me vs German. My Grandfather definitely looked Slavic, despite identifying as German, being born in Yugoslavia and having a blood sister who identified as Hungarian. Even speaking it in the house.
I guess that's how most people's genealogy probably is from early 20th century Europe.
This would make him yellow now, wouldn't it gentlemen
When comparing use "Than" Not "Then".
Listening to this old Russian song after such such a long time. Suddenly remembered this song after almost 40 plus years.
Наши предки шли умирать с песней, чтоб мы все жили попиваючи
Best advice i was ever given was to listen to Russian chior songs whilst playing war thunder.
That my work for russia players, but I play germany, so this doesn't help.
@@jacobmendoza985then play erika
@@ezekielsabido5098 will do
My list for wsr thunder is farewell of slav, katyusha and KGB anthem
@@ezekielsabido5098 F*ck that, rammstein at full volume!
Alexander Foss Brænd and Lida Baroeva love this.
This is why I subbed
The second video OMG !
Remembered this line vyokoljodila na berug Katyusha and the tune and got it

my russian blood in me just made me stand up
I wish word War thunder added this song
Nice
Урааааа
Que o espírito da liberdade e do amor inspire nossa luta de emancipação
This is like our communist party in youtube
Patriotic as fuk !!!
Nothing patriotic at all. Just a war lyric romance song. A girl is waiting for his boyfriend to return alive from the war. Like german Lili Marlen or a sort of. There was a plenty of such songs. People wants love and to be loved in any circumstanses. Come rain or shine.
@@evgrin1961 Just like Erika is not about nazism or any ideology, just a soldier missing his love far away. If the lyrics were translated, the song could be sung by a soldier of any nation.
Say the reason why your favorite color is red my is because of the Soviet Union

As an Anti-Communist I can still say that this is a banger, still haven't changed my views, a banger none the less
I sing the Finnish version "Karjalan Katjuusa" all the time. Its lyrics have actually been adjusted to be about a Karelian girl singing to a Finnish soldier, where as this original one seems much more neutral, no mention of countries, just soldiers far away on the border. But the meaning of the lyrics seem to otherwise be pretty much one to one.
As an anti right wing, I love the bangers of Merle Haggard and Hank Williams jr. As an anti religion guy, I love gospel music. You can’t deny art.
Also, Katyusha’s lyrics actually have nothing to do with communism, as you can see.
@@veikkakarvonen831 Didn't know there was a Finnish version, been learning Finnish on Duolingo for half a year now. will most definitely go check it out.
@TAST_EU Another anti communist here, listen to der offene aufsmarch, it's socialist but it's a banger. Also, the división azul from Spain has a song that sounds very similar to katyusha but without being soviet, it's called "primavera"
@@ElPsyCongroo. Also the Finnish version of Katyusha, Karjalan Katjuusa, that is a banger
