I'm genuinely so happy that my first Wings of Fire MAP part would end up being in this big celebratory MAP! Despite Sunstreak being a very minor (yet incredibly important) character I wanted to make sure this part kicked ass, so I experimented a lot with a big swooshy camera and nice gradients on his scales.
I used Peregrinecella's base as a reference on how to draw BeetleWings (and since Sunstreak I believe is the only BeetleWing in the entire MAP I think taking a few tiny liberties was ok)

I hope tui makes a legend about the old tribes and sunstreak is one of the main characters, maybe along with one of his and clearsight’s children, then we might get to see what beetlewings look like :>

I always imagined them that way actually, in the Pantalan books Tui specified that they bent and Blue could rest them against his sides like normal wings.
I hate so much how people always draw him as a silkwing. He’s not a silkwing he’s a beetlewing you dingus. this makes me happy

Like they make beetlewings seem like silkwings, but wouldnt silkwings then just be beetlewings and hivewings would be the ones who split from the beetlewkngs or smth?
@@windjager2177 Hivewings are basically the powers of beetlewings split into a different dragon. it’s like if you took a powerful dude, sucked out all the power and made another person, and then still had what’s left of the powerless dude.
@Oreoflurry probably, but they didn’t look EXACTLY like them, and it’s dumb when people don’t add any stingers (which they had) or bulkier builds, because hivewings are pretty bulky.
@Oreoflurry There is some confusion about that, basically back in her day, BeetleWings were living all over Pantala, and the introduction of Clearsight's very strong genetic material to one of those groups created the HiveWings. The rest of the BeetleWings eventually became SilkWings, and they are technically the same thing, I draw my BeetleWings exactly like SilkWings except with HiveWing nose/ forehead horns.

I love this! That zoom is so cool, love your volume control and his head antennas snap back and have that little offset, was fun seeing you drop wips in the server too, you finished so fast!
