1. Racquet head awareness - keep your racquet head slightly pointed down 2. Don’t step in too early; use the momentum of stepping in to hit the ball 3. Use the say hello drill to make sure you step in at the last second I have found that it is really hard for me to keep my racquet head pointed slightly downwards without moonballing or dumping it into the net; any tips?
Great demonstration and good drill. Something about that holding out the racket entirely in the offhand tickles me, like what happens if you do that in the match, and the ball come in on your forehand, xD. Suprised!
@@PeterFreemantennis No doubt Pete, likewise! You've helped my slice serve by recommending the continental grip rather than eastern. Now I'm working on pace. Please send photo to my email, or tell me where it's posted. I will be sure to share that you're the right coach in a Crunch!
3.5 players don’t have a backhand, they have a “forced” back stroke that they call a backhand ...LOL I watch them year after year after year using the same stroke with inconsistent and disastrous results. You need to talk about the mind set of a 3.5 player vs 4.0 players and beyond.
