RESIDENT EVIL CODE VERONICA Fan Remake Details,
It is a remake made by a group of fans. It will be released in 3 chapters. The game will be totally FREE. Each chapter will have an approximate duration of 4 hours. Capcom has all the rights ,if they decided to cancel it, the project would be dead.
The game will be released in multiple languages from the day of release, among them, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and many more! The language can be changed from within the game itself, no need to download other versions.
Revisit Rockfort Island, with our new gameplay system, we have renewed the entire system that we had in the Demo to achieve more stability and get a more Resident Evil experience. New animations, so that the movements feel more natural. New Zombies system, now they will be able to bite you and will be more similar to Capcom zombies, if you have a defense knife, you will be able to get rid of them! Now you can dodge, similar to what we saw in Resident Evil 3 Remake.
Rain and fire reaction system, Claire will react with animation when approaching fire or getting wet with rain. Claire will get wet with the rain and we will be able to see how her clothes, skin and hair get wet. Then, when it enters closed places, it will dry automatically until it is completely dry. Something similar we will see with the scenarios, the objects/walls that are under the rain, will be wet with water running through them.
Survive the powerful tyrant T0-78 who will chase you and attack without mercy. He was released by Alfred Ashford to stop Claire Redfield's escape from the island. He will do the impossible to accomplish his objective. You will also face many other enemies, Bandersnatch, dogs and more! Bandersnatch , these dangerous enemies can stretch their arm beyond their normal limits, They will attack you from a distance and reach you easily. Be very careful with them!
We have graphically improved the scenarios that have been seen in the demo, in addition to a redesigned lighting. We will optimize as much as possible so that everyone can play without performance problems.
We will also release a Lite version, which will be for PCs with very low resources.with very strong internal changes in the lighting, as well as in the rest of the elements, the idea of this version is that nobody is left out without being able to play the Remake. (It is worth clarifying that, of course, in the Normal game, it will be possible to configure and adjust the graphic quality)

I've never played the first 3 or code veronica truth be told my first resident evil game was the 4th one which will always be my favorite I've played the 5 and 6 ones they were good but 4th was my favorite I've recently played revelations 1 and 2 someone from my job told me to try the remake of resident evil 2 so I might try that one what about you Holly?

I dunno. They've just stolen a bunch of assets. The changes made to the models are poor. Speaking as someone who can actually model and design.
@@sigmarine not just that but in terms of level design and programming wise. The fact that some fans can easily pump something this good is impressive by itself.
I also don't think the models are that bad and they probably planned on adding improvements into them. I'm also speaking as a 3d modeler.

Capcom went and sent a C&D to stop the remake BUT, they usually don't mess with fan remakes unless they're already doing something themselves 👀For example, the RE2 Remake even had a special thank you note to the RE2 fan remake devs, who also were told to stop their fan project but apparently were brought in for some consulting or at least were acknowledged. So the rumor now is that Capcom stopping this remake, means they don't want it to confuse people when they launch their own Code Veronica remake.

@@rarebearspanda8513 Capcom released it a yr or 2 ago for Xbox one & PS4 I got the Xbox one it's pretty good but other comment above I agree the 3rd person fixed view adds a layer of authenticity & original gameplay can be fun (tank control) as well. Looks legit & code Veronica was an overlooked & underrated game, I had it upon release on Sega DreamCast & it blew me away because it was far ahead of it's time (almost as good as RE4 like 10yrs later imo)

This is honestly a hire-worthy project. Capcom should hire these guys and bring them in-house to make it an official release.

@@xXValentineXx If they at least remake it on par with how they did 2, I will forgive them for shutting it down, but until then, they can fck themselves, including whatever other games they do. The fact is, those who chose to shut it down undoubtedly had NOTHING to do with the creation process of the original game and so IMO have no say over it. If I was god, this would get released, at least with the approval of the writers/art and directive team of the original.

Capcom have now slammed the lid on this project. I don't think it's because they're remaking it themselves, either. Simply "protecting" their IP.
A lesson to all remakers & indies using IPs: tell no one. Work on it in secret and release it when it's finished with full deniability.
Only for it to get yanked down after people have downloaded it and started playing it? Of course they want to protect their IP, you can't just remake a game that's not yours. Especially using voices and music from the original? Even if it's free, you have to get permissions to do something like this.

Opening cutscene was great! We got the look of Remake Claire but the voice of Alison Court, best of both worlds. Also, I like that there's a side corridor to a save room that initially wasn't in the original game. It adds to the exploration and expansion of the Island.
Totally agree. While I like Remake Claire, I definitely prefer the original voice actor. I don't know, she just fit Claire so well for me. Maybe it's just because she voiced her for so long. Same thing with Julia Voth as Jill's face model. I like the new one but nothing will ever compare to Julia Voth for me.

These group of developers need to be hired by capcom to work on further remakes of resident evil games. This should not be call a fan remake,it should be just called a remake, because this talent of creating a game from a well known franchise is at the level of true video games creators. I think they should call it "Resident evil 4: Code Veronica", considering it's Claires side of what happend after RE2, and we saw Leons follow up story, but not Claires.

I have such fond memories of watching my older brother play this on Dreamcast. I think this looks amazing! They’re doing one of the best installments justice, and I can see the talent and passion behind this as well. I hope these folks get the support they need 👏🏻❤️
I never had the privilege of owning one, but I love hearing other people's memories of having a Dreamcast. As a kid, I would go to my friend's house, and I remember him looking visibly annoyed that I didn't want to play his PlayStation, cause I'd always ask him to set up his Dreamcast, instead. At one point, he asked me "...why?" I was so confused why he would have something so awesome and have no interest in it.

Claire's model looks amazing. Granted i know it's just her RE2 model but with a new outfit, but her animations are really good.

Looks great so far, especially the opening cutscene! Hard to believe that it's just 3 people working on this.
I hope the team can still commit to having optional fixed cameras. If not, I hope they can at least keep in a few fixed cameras, like for special occasions. 2:00 in particular looks like it could be a good starting camera angle.
Loved every part of this video. Only thing that I couldn't help but to notice was how little the mouths on the the characters moved during animation. Only criticism I have but for only 3 people working on the entire remake, 100% blown away.

It's come a significant way since the first build my lawd. My Hope is that they continue to put this amazing work in and we see improvements in things like the weapon animations and such. What a credit to this team

Unreal. I'm so disappointed that this got canceled. I was really looking forward to this remake. It looks so awesome. Code Veronica is actually my favorite FIRST RE game ever. That's how I got into the franchise. It was given to me along with a Dreamcast but was never really good at it. lol I was overly excited when the RE fan remake was announced. I can understand CAPCOM not being happy with their work being used by others, but come on, are they really losing money? Jeez. Anyway, I really do appreciate the developers trying to make this possible and for putting so much work into it, I'm sorry to hear this happened.
Honestly it's impresive that people expected this game to see the light, use a lot of assets made by several artists, artists that didn't consent the use of said assets, and the image of Jordan Mcewen without her consent.

Stfu, none of these fan games are ever any good some shiny new graphics with janky gameplay and same audio from the originals. Sure re3 was short but thats it, still has high qualty production along with that re feel. Fan games never feel geniune. Re mods are awesome but, fan games are ehh just wait for capcom to do it, it will at least be better than this shiny new fan game with the old original audio that makes feel super cheap and dumb. The whole audio thing really diminishes this fan game.
Couldn't agree more. Unlike RE2R which I replayed a lot, I don't even want to replay RE3R because of cut contents.

I've played Fan games that completely blew big names like Capcom's game out of the water in all aspects of the game. The latter is true, fan games are done right and they listen to yhe community. Clearing a Capcom game in 3 hours is a joke in comparison to some of these fan made games that take days to complete. So perhaps you might want to be the one to stfu.

Only difference is that it takes the small team of 3-5 much..much longer to get it right and get it delivered. The reason big developers continue to pump out so much recycled trash is because people like you and the other commenter above worship the floor they walk on and consume even their shittiest of titles. Don't pretend RE3 remake was a masterpiece. The game was a quarter length shorter than the original not to mention a key part of the game was completely excluded. The game wasn't good regardless of how polished and nice the visuals appeared. Even when we have turds like RE6, people still flock to buy Capcom titles regardless of the franchise getting blatantly worse and the replay value being non existent.
This game was way soo good for its time. I remember playing this on the ps2 and couldn't believe the game was still going on after getting on the plane. glorious memories and defo needs a remake

I'm so mad Capcom won't focus their attention on this... RE4 aged fine enough where it doesn't need a remake right now... It looks insane! Very talented for just 3 people making it. You can definitely see some of the jank with the into cutscene and the audio at points seems a bit broken. But never than less, it’s an incredible project and I hope they are able to do well with it

Capcom…..,please please remake this game!!! This is one of my all time favorites and a lot of people doesn’t even know about it,or have never played it. And these fan remakes are so amazing. These game companies and developers need to recognize all this talent and hire these people!!!! Instead of cease and desist a lot of companies put out,they should just make them part of the team!!! Code Veronica was not the hardest Resident Evil, it was Outbreak 1 and 2 hands down, because it had Very Hard and Nightmare. For those saying Code Veronica is hard....

- pick areas to run through that don't have enemies
- you can take more hits in this game than any other without dipping into orange caution or danger

This really looks as though it's using Capcom's RE Engine, it's uncanny how similar it is. I'm sure that there are technical exceptions to set it apart beneath the hood, and obviously the character models don't move as smoothly as Capcom's, given that I'm relatively certain the Devs don't have access to Capcom's multi-million dollar mo-cap setup. Despite all of that, it really is impressive how close the artistic style is. Honestly, I think that the Unity Engine shadows are worlds better than RE Engine's, though. I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Code veronica is my favorite game of all time. The only problem is I wish the game had more ambience (water drips, wind blowing) and more footstep noises. Other than that you guys are doing a FANTASTIC job. If I wasn't hurting right now I would support you. ASAP I get financially stable again you have a financial supporter.

If u told me it was a actual capcom release. I think I would at first glance believe but it's better and more like a real c v remake fans would love. Also it has the feel or look more then official RE3. 2 IS A GREAT framework and asset pool to pull from for all these re creations. I just installed R E 4 the new fan hd project. And that is amazing. I havent been able to play the aida wong sequence yet I might have not updated my client right though unless i goto heat the game first.? Any one know? I get all the new menus for ray tracing w the F1 menu with green line boarder field of view slider. Cheers

You never forget your first time... Code Veronica was the first Resident Evil game I played back on the Dreamcast. I played it a lot. It was the first game in the series to feature full 3D environments although it still had fixed cameras and was overshadowed by RE4, which was a larger step forward in the series, and in action games. It's definitely the forgotten step-child of the franchise, which is a shame as it's got the most memorably weird, unsettling atmosphere, well apart from RE4.
Yes, 4 was a good action game, but RE was survival horror originally. RE2 remake was a return to form tbh - It didn't feel like you could just overpower any enemy with a super OP kick. Everything could be dangerous if you didn't have enough health or ammo. RE3 was my first game and remains my favourite, but Code Veronica was a solid silver IMO.
I definitely just started playing this again. If Capcom were to actually make a Code Veronica remake, I'm hoping it would be like this. This is dope

This is just like the Tomb Raider 2 fan remake, it will never be finished.
This is seriously beautiful, and I am totally excited. For it being free at launch is even better. There are a few issues with the game mechanics still, which upon improving will make for a flawless play through. Cannot wait!
