    Use a 1-1/16” socket 3/4” drive for the nut and get 3/4” square tubing about couple feet long and use crescent wrench on tubing to loosen brass nut. Don’t have to take bottom plate off or nothing like that.

      Has this jet ski been sitting for a long period of time? Seems like the cables may have both been exposed to some water and may have rusted and frozen up. You may need to replace both the steering cable and reverse cable

    Hello, I don't have the same jet ski as you do i have a 2002 GTX DI, however the steering cable system is set up pretty much the same way. That tool you used the long hollow one with the attachment at the end to loosen the screw at the back of the jet ski, do you know the name of it or where you got it? Not sure if that was a homemade tool or if you bought it. I am trying to avoid taking every piece of the jet ski at the back part to get to it. Thanks for the video i have been searching every video and just cant seem to find what i am looking for.

    I’ve got a STX-15F that only turns right at speed. If you try to turn left it just goes straight. The ski turns perfectly normally at idle speed. Any thoughts? Thanks

    • @lucrative11
      @lucrative11  2 года назад

      That is bizarre and I can't think of any reason it would turn left while idling but not at higher speeds. The one thing that may effect your ability to turn one direction better than the other is if your "tuning" is off on your steering cable, only allowing you to turn a very little bit to left, but much more to the right. If this were the case, you should be able to see this when it is out of the water and you turn to one side then the other. There would be a noticeable difference in the travel from left to right. If that is the case you can adjust it.

    • @pstraussman1
      @pstraussman1 2 года назад

      @@lucrative11 Thanks. Yeah when you look at it from behind and turn the handlebars it looks totally normal and equal in both directions. I am completely baffled.

    You’re working on the same cable I need to replace! Since finding your video, I’ve purchased the seadoo tool (too small). I bought the Kawasaki too from partszilla (cancelled, out of stock).
