dale was such a beast. shame that his carrer ended on such a low. he deserved a better farewell than what he got.
His career ended low because of injuries , he was world's best in his prime , till 2016
@@aksingh3167 i know. sometimes sports is really cruel. unfortunately he retired hurt in his last test match. i hoped as a fan that a legend like him should get better farewell but sport is cruel.
@@shikhargovil9579 actually he is the most hard working bowler ever. De villers said that he trained the most . But still got injured. His bowling action was fine and less injury prone too. But still got injured. Thats why genetics plays huge role too

@@RkSaha-gh5jv injuries depend on a lot of things. sometimes even the conditions you bowl in have an impact, express pace bowlers are always more injury prone than medium pace bowlers. you are right about genetics part. some bodies are fragile irrespective of whatever training you do but obviously steyn was not that fragile as he managed to play around 93 tests and many white ball games. the problem which happened with steyn was and is gonna be that even though he does swing the ball but it's his pace which is the main weapon. sometimes he swings the ball at high pace also. and after all his shoulder issues, his pace is gone. so even though he has'nt retired from t20s and ODIs, he kind of knows from inside that he is no more what he used to be. unoficially he is retired and it's just a matter of time that when he makes it official.

No matter what u say or think abut him but the fact is he is the greatest bowler in history of crckt most dangerous bowler ever. Quite evident. His swag was damn goood.
I had the joy of watching him bowl against England in his prime. Absolutely tore through the lineup. He was so fast and skiddy it was ridiculous.
That's not a fact. He is definitely one of the best but there have been better bowlers before. Malcolm Marshall, Richard Hadlee, McGrath, Jeff Thompson etc.

Also it's difficult to compare eras. Very hard to say if Hadlee etc. would have performed against modern batsmen with their modern safety gear, superior bats and shorter boundaries.
That being said even despite the huge advantage modern batsmen have, Steyn has been one of the quickest (if not the quickest) to many bowling milestones.
