- See what I've been up to this week with my crafts including the high and lows of my Yorke House dollshouse restoration project, plus I had a go at a Diamond Art kit.

What sweet sentiments about dollshouses. You had "one of those weeks"! Back to the drawing board! If it was me, and I had trouble finding replacement handles, I would probably just give up and decide my dolls have a chest with missing handles (people do live that way sometimes)! I'm thinking you ought to be able to get the drawers open that are stuck with the wax somehow. I use that stuff too, but it doesn't seem to be super strong. It melts in the heat of summer, and my things slide off the wall. So maybe you could heat it up and get it unstuck. 😊❤
Ah thankyou! I didn't realise that the museum wax melted when warm, (obvious in hindsight as it is wax but it never occured to me! ) So it might not be so good for my window displays as they get pretty hot in the summer time... hmmm more thinking is needed I think! 🤔❤️🤔 I like your thinking with regards to the missing handles! 😄
Always enjoy your updates. I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets sizes wrong sometimes 😆. How wonderful you are going to be doing a talk on the houses. I’m sure it will go really well. 😊.

Brilliant video ,thank you for taking the time to make it .I do absolutely the same thing ,my tape measure isn't even that far from where I sit but I lie to myself constantly "that will fit ,I can see it's the same size, right press the buy it now button " lol and far too many times to mention ,it doesn't 😅 . You would think I'd learn ,but nope !. I didn't realize how different the handles can be on the furniture either ,there's a lesson to take onboard before replacing any of mine .
I think it's a wonderful thing you are doing, touring around Cambridge with your doll houses ,so many people do this now as a hobby or like you said ,had them as children ,so it will be wonderful for them to see yours.

Replace the bookcase handles with the 8 new smaller ones, and use 4 of the handles from the bookcase on the wardrobe.

Lovely to see what you have been doing. Glad to see you make mistakes too 😹 we are all human but at least no harm done and lessons learnt. Good luck with the WI , if all goes well and you can do your talks once you get over your nerves you will love doing them xx

My car boots are a little out the way for me to access. The lights might go in the Lundy but suspect they might be 24 scale. I have bought a pram jewellery box from Temu hopefully I will be able to make a pram for the baby
The pram jewellery box sounds like a great idea! Yes I think the lights will be too small for the Lundby, I have a dolly mixture house but I'm not sure they'd suit that either. I'm sure I'll use them at some point! ❤️🏡❤️🏡
