I wrote this comment under the last video before this one and I'm c&p it in here, too, in the hopes that you'll see it and respond. Suzie, every now and then you praise all the newer equipment, gels, acrylics, gel-polishes etc. and often say that in the 80s you didn't have all those things and had to work with different materials and tools. You know what would be really cool? If you'd do a "Vintage Video" and do your or somone elses nails with the same tools and materials like you used in the 80s. Maybe even a nail-style which was modern back then. And then do the same style with nowadays equipment and materials for comparison. Just so all the (mostly) ladies can see, how much everything has evolved in this field of work and how hard it maybe was, doing someone's nails 30 years ago
I love how supportive cameraman is of you and your work. You guys are too cute. Thank you for creating these videos they’re so relaxing to watch and teach me so much. I get so excited to see the designs you come up with and love watching you execute your vision ❤️
your videos are magical.. and inspiring and IMMENSELY educational for a self nail noob like me! I learned SO many things I was doing wrong for years and thought it was just my thin brittle nails. I am grateful the world has you
Been wearing acrylics since about 1979. Before there was commercial products. We used dental porcelain! To help with the confetti from sticking, try baby powder...before, during and after. Take your pick.
My very first set of nails in 1980 _were_ porcelain! And not only that, but they were all white, cuticle to tip! I loved polishing my own nails and changing colors every couple of days back then. When I came in for my second fill my manicurist was _shocked_ when I presented two hands that were painted like what we now call a French manicure. She asked me how I did it! I just used that old-fashioned Sally Hanson clear pink (that used to be called "natural") and only put it where my nail beds would be. I used Scotch tape to mask off my nail tips. It took about four coats before it looked really pink, then I used a top coat to hide the "jump-off" where the clear pink polish wasn't. It worked really well and all the ladies and techs in that shop had to have a gander at my home polished nails! (I got my cosmetologist's license a little less than two years later.) Great idea about using powder to keep the glitter from sticking to skin, too! Thanks!
I worked with a gal back in the late 70’s that did her own nails long before anyone even knew it was possible. She said she used dental material so that’s probably what she used too. They were gorgeous!
Hubby & I both agree ,thumb would be killer in the coral color! Beautiful set! That green reminds me of key lime pie! Dave ,my hubby, checks out each clients nails ,before they leave! He checks out everyone's nails, where ever we are!
I just want you to know you are my nail guru. almost everything im learning i learn from you, other than learning from playing around. so thank you so much for making this channel. My best friend/ guinea pig watch all your videos. LOVE YOU!!!
I'll hatch on to your comment nail sister! I too learn so much from Suzie's videos. Even though I've taken several different courses, I find that when I'm studying, applying Suzie's methods, tricks and tips helps much more my process 💜
Iv only been watching your videos for around 6months but I just wanted to say you gave me the confidence to do my nail course, I started out as a makeup artist but iv always been interested in nails. Thanks to you I started my own business, you have been such an inspiration to me! ❤❤
On day I will visit you suzie in Canada cause I am living in egypt and you will be the first one to do my nails .. I trust nobody on earth you know !! .. but I in love with your designs and taste of colours .. you are so clean and nice talking making every client so pleased to meet you as a human ")
I missed you Suzy. I watch your videos to relax. Sometimes at night I look for your longer videos to sleep. The plus is your so good at teaching people how to do nails. These nails are so fun! Keep it up. 😌
Oh boy, your new studio is so nice. Your nail design is really cute. I’m a dot fan and ordering some of these for myself. I can’t wait to give them a try. Thanks size for showing the best way to apply the confetti.
You are so artistic in acrylics truly talented love the shape and color of glitter ✨!! Thanks for sharing you are so talented love calmness in your voice
That green is so pretty??? I love the confetti. It's just so fun and bright and summery. Also reeaaaally appreciate that the music credits are in the description box with timestamps! So useful!
You always post when its my bedtime (I’m from Denmark, hellooo 🌸) and its perfect because then I can listen to your calming voice and get ready to rest. 😴
I LOVE it when you say, "Oh, I can't stand it!" It makes me smile. In fact, I have picked that up from you as I said it the other day about something... an eyeshadow palette I think, anyway, this looks wonderful and in great timing for me because I just received some confetti I purchased from Max. I have been doing the dried flowers for a while now as I love them but will try this next. Woohoo. Thanks again, Suzie!
This is the first of your videos I’ve watched Susie, and not to be dramatic or anything but, you are one of the purest, lightest souls on RUclips and I appreciate your presence here for making it a happier place
You know something susie that I love the way your hubby supports you and follows you when you do your show he is so supported god bless you both and stay safe..
I totally ask my spouse what colours he likes and then I correspond, but other times it’s what I like and too bad if he doesn’t. It’s a nice touch to include your spouse in your nail colour picks. How funny I just did confetti nails too and then here you are doing them. I did very neon colours blue and hot pink. I think it works great to use two colours.
I havent been to your channel for months just because im not really into nail art anymore (my job messes up my nails REALLY bad) but im in awe of how much your videos have gotten so professional but they still have your touch to it! Im really proud of you and the crew! Its really amazing ajd lots of love to Nail Career Education!🥰
Ohhhhhhh these are absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for doing these videos for us all hon. You are such a sweet soul and I know I'm not the only one who appreciates all that you & cameraman do for us 😊💗
My husband loved getting involved with my nail designs, he had great ideas to add and we had a great time. I love that your husband/cameraman is involved with your art/work. 😊
hi....!!!! I've been loving your videos and have learned a lot. im a professional manicurist in greece!!!!! i dont do acrylic bc of the smell but i like to watch those videos too. you are very great and explain how you do everything very clearly. good job at everything you do i love it.
I think it's not. She says in the video that she bought it on her last business trip, but jokes that her husband bought it for her and just didn't know that he had done that.
Sofia Horstman I think I meant to comment under another comment. I just realized what I said isn’t even relevant. Thanks for not thinking I’m crazy...I was falling asleep😂😂
Gosh!!! I love love love love this. You are so good at what you do. I'm so happy you chose both colors. The blue and green. I love the confetti pattern. Keep up the amazing work. Love from Guyana
Amazing as always, Suzie! I came here after watching Jenna do nails and I'm HOOKED now. I think I watched all your videos by now. And you've inspired me sooo much!
Suzie you made my day :) I have a lot of work to do but it's always so wonderful to join your joy in design and beautiful things! (also as a reminder for me to do the same ^^)
I loved when she would use the pump bottle with the acrylic monomer inside. Haven’t seen her use it since her earlier videos. I wish she would post where she got it. It would be so helpful when doing nails! :)
I loooooove watching your videos!! I love the editing style of your videos and it’s not like most people I’ve seen. You’re like the Bob Ross of nails!! I am very confused on college and career and this is definitely something I may want to get into.
Susie I really love your videos they’re always informative you always give great advice you’re so charming, poised& lady like. I really love your channel💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽💅🏽
Love the confetti nails and the color polish choices. I think instead of solid colors on the other nails a tye dyed or water color effect would be cool too on the other nails. So many different options to go with the confetti you might have to buy more 😄.
Im loving this confetti look, my current set has a couple of accent nails with red, holo gold and black dots swooshed over a deep berry red/cover pink diagonal ombre. I'm getting loads of compliments about them!
These are awesome. I just did my version. I have never done acrylic...I’m not a professional. In fact I have learned everything I know from RUclips and mostly your videos. I use polygel and found it nice and easy to get the dots to stick since it’s such a sticky product. Anyway...stay amazing and I look forward to more videos!

What does the baby powder do?
What does the baby powder do?
I worked with a gal back in the late 70’s that did her own nails long before anyone even knew it was possible. She said she used dental material so that’s probably what she used too. They were gorgeous!
Fairly certain the FDA banned dental porcelain from use on nails because finger were getting destroyed
Hubby & I both agree ,thumb would be killer in the coral color! Beautiful set! That green reminds me of key lime pie! Dave ,my hubby, checks out each clients nails ,before they leave! He checks out everyone's nails, where ever we are!
