Very true, but also there are plenty doing similar things. It crossed my mind many times but I decided to show people how easy it is with this series and hopefully they feel inspired to do a similar trip themselves.
Thanks Small Bike Stuff, enjoyed the financial aspect as I was wondering what would happen to the bikes when the series end. Can't wait for the next series.
Great series. The wife and I did a whistlestop tour of Penang Island. We drove up from Taiping, crossed on the E28 bridge, travelled clockwise on the route 6 "ring road" to George Town, up to the Kek Lok Si Temple, and then crossed back on the E36 bridge. Being in a car, we were lucky not to miss out on the fun of Penang's traffic congestion.
What a sweet series. Would definitely like to hear more about various locations, landmarks & sites. I think Laos and Vietnam should be on the cards for... Next year?? I just did the ha giang loop on a 125cc Honda wave with a tour group. The views were epic!
Thanks so much for watching the series. Happy to do a run down of the route we did. Definitely will be getting out there and exploring a different location in due course! Stay tuned.
@@SmallBikeStuff I am living in Singapore. I probably will explore Mae Hong Song Loop in CM first. Please consider doing it if you haven't. Would like to see your video and learn the "history".
So sad it's over 😢. Congratulations on a fantastic series 👏 really enjoyed it hopefully not the last we see of small bikes in South East Asia no reason why you cannot do a yearly trip maybe advertise for interested people to do a ride it's a popular thing over here especially in Vietnam on larger bikes might be worth investigating the interest through your channel for a small bike trip in Cambodia 🇰🇭 alot to see here or a trip through a part of Vietnam 🇻🇳. Cheers
Thanks Graham I've enjoyed your input as the series was released. Always nice to hear from others that are into the world of Small Bikes. I think there is capacity for such a thing but there are reasons why this specific route wouldn't be suitable for multiple trips back to back. Either way as I mentioned in another comment I think I should make a video broaching the idea and see what feedback we get.
Hi. Please be careful when stopping under bridges during rain. There were cases of 4 wheel vehicles losing control and collided into motorcyclists and worst - prime movers swept the bikers. The best option is to leave the bike on the the road shoulder and wait behing the railings, perhaps at the slope.
No they all went to a different ship. Vincent was great and we’d happily use him again at KKS trading but we were on a time crunch that wouldn’t work with his shop when selling.
@@SmallBikeStuff Thanks for your reply and I must say your reply was lightning fast. Sold to different ship means sold to few different motorcycles dealerships. 👍 ( Remember me? I am the guy who just recently sold my Yamaha Lagenda 115 year 2015 for RM3000 ) I truly enjoyed ALL your videos. Big thanks.
I would have enjoyed meeting up with you when you were here as i missed you passing through from Singapore onwards to Thailand previously. I don't have the luxury of taking 10 days off to join your rides due to work commitments but a meet and greet session would have been enjoyable as well. There are companies here in Malaysia who are renting out small bikes but i don't have the rental rates. I would assume that it's much cheaper to rent small bikes as opposed to buying them and selling them later.
I had posted a few times in the lead up to the trip but mainly on the Facebook or Instagram pages. The rental bikes were an option but it was hard to convince a company to let the bikes cross the border. Most wanted the bikes to stay within their city. Overall the cost of rental and the price we had left over after selling wasn't too different.
Nice adventure and ride, thanks for sharing. After watching the first Video, I have decided to buy a kapcai - Modenas Kriss MR 2 Disc Break (Malaysian made). Planning to round the Malaysia Peninsula. Start from the North to the South, then from the East to the West. Visiting national parks, Orang Asli Villages, famous beaches and nevertheless local food. What do you think?
Im kinda late to the party . kinda sad the series is over . looking forward to your next content man . not gonna lie . I enjoy the series , I enjoy your journey and thank you for sharing your experience with us. Do you think is it possible to do with ninja 250 ? . thinking about doing it .
Definitely could do this with a bigger bike - except maybe don't take the dirt road we did as it would be an absolute mission. Thanks so much for watching the series. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
For next trip please do Borneo! Ride from Kuching Sarawak to Sabah. It'll a long ride but hopefully you guys make my dreams come true. Support from Miri, Malaysia 🙏
@@SmallBikeStuff the Pan-Borneo road from Kuching to Miri now is more better than before. But it's a bit rural before arriving to the next city, so get ready to bring an extra fuel tank.
@@cheapcharlie7 that’s entirely up to you. Lots of rental companies don’t like their bikes going long distance but there are exceptions. I enjoy Malaysia a lot so prefer starting there.
Hi , I’m the person that went to Kuala Lumpur from England for some indicator lenses for a Honda EX5, I’d love to come next time, do you have an email address I could have 👍
That would be awesome. You can get an email from the 'about' section of the channel. If I post it here the comment will get censored. Also follow on Facebook or Instagram if you use them I'm active on there.
Keep your eyes peeled - based on the feedback from this series I should probably make a video about if and when a future one could be, what it could look like etc etc.
you could make a fortune putting together tour groups for this sort of thing!

I’ll elaborate on the finances more in the Q&A! Thanks for watching the series.
Awesome, that was great. I can't wait for the next adventure.
Thanks so much for joining this series! I hope you stick around for the Q&A. And yes, more travel/adventure videos coming soon.
What a journey, well done. I would love to tour Asia on a motorcycle one day.
It's a great place to ride and there are so many places to choose from.

Good idea!

Damn, only 1 blowout in the entire trip!?! Sounds like a mini miracle.
We were incredibly lucky! Had all the gear to change a flat anywhere though thankfully.
Just finished watching all six parts. You’re a fantastic video creator mate. Thanks for creating such a cool video series!!

lets go. fun adventure. would love to try it one day. cant wait for your next adventure

couldn't you have arranged a buy-back arrangement when you bought them?
Yup that was always a choice but we decided to go a different route the end that was easier with our time limitations.
What about following Sukhimvit road to Cambodia? - pretty boring ride though!

Puzzled why the bikes lost more than half its value. It's not a new bike. Granted the reseller having to cover for profit, but it's still excessive.
