Buddy 2020&2021 that would be something that i was consider I had r7 250x 1gb gpu , and that was issue with come games like Fallout 4 , and with ridiculus prices in GPU where I was living 1030 2000kr (200$)... used , a card that are not as good to pay 3 times that gpu was worth before covid , so spending some cash to upgrate ram in covid is literally worth it , sadly ... or great now GPU's are back to normal prices and I have bough r9 390 8gb for 800kr (80$) week ago , and I am happy with that , but still perspective of ram upgrate is tempting , not with r9 , but when I looked for gpu and there where number of cheap GTX 1060 with 3gb ram , and upgrate for 6gb might be option for some .

    Gtx 660ti - modded 8gb vram
    560ti - modded 4GB vram
Gtx 750ti - 6GB vram so on and so on
Not like for some GPUs which already have another model of the same GPU with extra like
    Gtx 760 2GB / 4GB vram
Which would be like this mod shown in the video
I’m trynna reuse some older GPUs to hold up in newer titles if it wasn’t for vram constraints

The ROM I flashed was for one with Samung chips. It doesn't make any difference other than simply saying "Samsung" as the manufacturer.

When you flashing with modded firmware, there is only one beauty defect, you did not overwrite the memory type because still it shows SAMSUNG, whereas you reball with MICRON chips🤫It can be seen that you understand it, but you are "inconsistent" even though this "error" does not affect the operation of the card.😉

Hi mate, great video!, I want to know if this will work on old Radeon gpus like the HD 3850 because I have sapphire agp version (512 mb 64x8 modules) and the pcie one (Is 1gb 128x8 modules) despite the connector is the same pcb same brand of memory (qimonda) would be fantastic for retro computers.

Hey there - I have the same pre-heating board and on mine I noticed that the actual board temperature is -100 degrees compared to what the machine says (because the thermocouple is close to the heating plates). So to have the board at 150 degrees I set the machine at around 250 degrees. My question for you is: when you say you set the temperature to 150 degrees, do you mean the board or the machine? Great video(s) thanks!

That's set on the machine itself.

I appologize for my incompetance, but I don't know anything about Macs so i feel like i have to ask - isn't that card a little underspeced for a system with a 6 core CPU and 64 GB RAM?
