    Most technical player on earth. Dude is a like a magician. I can't believe how incredibly talented he is as a soccer player. Whenever he had the ball it was glued to his feet it didn't go away and it was impossible to get it off him. Crazy ball control, composure, creativity, first touch, balance, technique, flair, finishing, determination, heading, vision, dribbling, teamwork, passing and finishing ability. Such an interesting and a skilled striker. Almost like Nistelrooy + Inzaghi put in one person at least in football performance. God I loved his era. His stamina, acceleration, strength, pace and work rate was underrated as well. Legendary man. He was excellent at Bayern Leverkusen, Tottenham and Man Utd especially at the first two clubs. Absolute star. Football icon. So much charisma and natural field influence and presence. Ferguson got greedy with him. Such an entertaining player. 10/10. Talent and skill in its absolute purest form portrayed by Dimitar Berbatov. Nostalgia.

    • @chrismacleod9326

      Mate, when you mention ‘work-rate’ it sort of renders your comment invalid

    • @chrismacleod9326
      @chrismacleod9326 Год назад +2

      @hfc Browse through the deluge of comments and you’ll see that by you pointing out the illogical use of overrated and underrated you proved that you’re no better than the fool misusing those terms in the first place. It’s like saying “that three year old still believes in Santa, but Santa isn’t real.” Yes, you’re correct but you’re also a muppet for saying it.
      Btw there was meant to be a facetious tone to my original comment, pointing out that Berbatov was pretty lazy and often was a peripheral figure in games. That doesn’t invalidate his quality as a player but it did invalidate the commenter in my eyes because it makes me question if he in fact watched the guy weekly or just binged on a bunch of RUclips homages to the great Bulgarian.

    I hate United…but I know talent and remember it when I see it…I’ve never seen someone have a first touch like Berbatov. He dropped the ball into his foot effortlessly like he had the force or something…long balls too.. He doubled megged defenders and did it with style. Not just once he’d do it twice. He was a real footwork officianado and he never got the full recognition as not everyone understands footwork and first touches as others. Unpredictable but dangerous in his unpredictable movements. There was no blinkers on with Berbatov and defenders hated him for this reason. You had no idea what this Bulgarian wizard was gonna do next.

    People, coaches and so-called "football experts" included, are extremely stupid to think that what makes a footballer efficient is to run like a cattle all over the pitch, sweating and snorting like a wild boar. That's the widespread idea of the diligent ball-kicking money maker. Well, in that regard, Berbatov was heavily envied because he could do what a footballer is supposed to do in the very end: to score and assist his team-mates to do it too, without running like a cattle all over the pitch, sweating and snorting like a wild boar.
