1:22 Your index finger should not stay on the horizontal bar. You don't want your finger there when you catch a Bo with your Sai. So just bring it back to the handle where the other fingers are.
Coll Borat False! You are supposed to have your finger there, because it is your index finger on that bar who balances and controls the turning of the sai... It is important however to have it far enough back to be able to avoid a sword or any other weapong when you are defending.

The Long Stick you referring to is actually called the Monouchi and the Loop is called the Yoku just saying..
