- The Tudor Black Bay 58 has gotten extremely popular in a short time and is a giant hit for Tudor. This is fully deserved as it's probably the best luxury dive watch available well under $4000. In the video I review the watch.

Amazing watch!! Extra benefit is that you will not be robbed nor killed with a Tudor. I think the bezel is 60 click.
I will keep my arm :)
Where the hell do you live?
@@stephen9609 London, happens all the time.
@@shaagaknowsyou5295 I've been to London 3 times and felt completely safe every time. Are people just holding up their watches and asking for people to come take them?
@@stephen9609 try living here, just visiting three times isn't an accurate representation of how it actually is here. Muggings/stabbings/murders for people's belongings are rife here.
Blue with bracelet, black with the original leather strap… beautiful team 🥰
Currently saving up for the Black Bay bronze model. Saw it a few weeks ago and fell in love HARD!! If all goes well she will be mine in due time
I cannot wait to get mine on saturday! I am getting the one with the bracelet.
I got mine on the leather strap too. I know most people want the bracelet, but for me the bracelet makes it look like just another dive watch trying to be a Rolex, whereas the strap draws your attention to the watch itself. However, there's no denying that a leather strap is less practical in certain environments, so I'll use a Nato for those occasions.
Could you tell me what the taper is on the leather strap? Is it an 18mm deployment clasp?
@@seancassidycowie4193 The strap tapers down from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm at the clasp, and the clasp is 20mm at its widest point.
@@davids9549 Thanks for that David, I really appreciate your help.
@@seancassidycowie4193 You're welcome. 9 months on, I can report that I've worn my BB58 more often than any of my other watches - it's that good! The leather strap, however, has hardly seen the light of day, as I use a selection of aftermarket Nato (fabric) straps in various colours (to match whatever else I'm wearing - I'm a bit of a tart). This watch is the ultimate 'strap monster' and on a Nato it's even lighter and more comfortable than the other options.
David S thanks again mate. I’m hopefully getting the blue dial in a couple of weeks. My plan is to take the blue leather off and replace it with another leather but keep the Tudor clasp. I agree with you on NATO straps, No such thing as a tart for NATOs 😂 thanks again for the help man 👍
Great watch, if Tudor introduces new colors for this BB58 lineup i will buy another without hesitation.
I hope they introduce different colours and also a GMT version i 39mm. That would almost be an instant purchase.
I was lucky enough to buy a 214270 Explorer from an AD here in Melbourne in 2019. To add to this I got a call from the AD over the weekend to offer me this exact watch which I’ve been wanting. I grabbed it, I don’t think I need any other watches, I’m very happy.
That is really nice. Very nice clean design. It reminds me of the Rolex Submariner from Goldfinger.
An excellent watch. My BB58 and my Oris 65s are my only watches I wear haha
I just bought the blue version of the BB58. Absolutely fantastic watch! It has been getting all the wrist time (and I own a Rolex Submariner as well!)
I just tried the blue one on Saturday. Excellent watch!
Great review. I watched your unboxing and was happy for you then and even more now. I always say that my favorite watch is the one I am wearing. Wear on my friend.
Great review! It's a 60 click bezel, though. Not 120.
I’m so glad you love it! One day for me I hope.
I agree, the love you have for this watch is clear to see. Enjoy your watch in good health 👍
Just got a call from my AD. Mine came in. Pick up on Friday!!!
Excellent - enjoy!
Andrew, where is your AD based? Looking everywhere for this watch.

I love that leather strap.
Gone with the full size. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Also a little disappointed about the lack of AR but I can live with that. Nice review thanks.
When did Tudor change their boxes? When I bought my BB36 in May 2018, it came in the glossy black wooden box. Looks much nicer than their current boxes... Also, no sleeve for warranty cards? I have a Tudor branded sleeve that is identical to my Rolex card holder, only it's black, not green.
I think I'll look at getting this watch in 2020-21. I would also look at getting it on the leather, just seems to compliment that gilt dial the best. Also not a fan of the riveted bracelet...
I love that watch 👌
I'm strongly considering buying this watch and your review help push me closer to my decision. I think I prefer the brown leather than the bracelet. The leather makes it pop.
I can fully recommend it. It’s a great watch and it’s very versatile. I has the classic look but it’s very modern in it’s technical specs.
Best regards,
Anders
Just love Tudors
Great Review, I strongly recommend ordering the bracelet! I cant take mine of it :D
amazing review! I have recently picked one of these up as well I love it! just want to say as well it's 200m water proof not resistant as they are tested the same way Rolex watches are tested :) which is another great feature of Tudors!
I’m getting my 58 on leather tomorrow🤗
👍🏻
How long did you have to wait ? I have just orderd one on the bracelet . No discount and a 9 to 12 month wait . The dealership had one on a nato strap but i preferred the bracelet . Lovely watch .
Excellent watch review. Thank you very much! I’m a new subscriber.
Congrats gorgeous watch

Thanks for the excellent review
Beautiful watch bro!!
Is it possible to use the Tudor deployant clasp with a third party strap?
Looks good on a rubber b strap
Will the deployant clasp on the leather strap sit centre of the underside of your wrist or not ?
Good video man. How wide is the deployment clasp? 18 or 16mm?
What’s your wrist size?
18cm
Great video thanks very much. I'm seriously thinking if getting this maybe as my only watch in a bracelet. My wrist is smaller though at 6.33 and wondering how it would look. Can you share the length of the flat top of your wrist ? Keep up the good work
Man i have a tiny wrist and it looks perfect. go for it
@@unsaidoath how tiny ?
joel raine I just got one on a bracelet after being on a waiting list for 4 months. I have a 6.5” wrist and it looks fine. Go for it!
do you happen to have the M or the L version off of the strap?
Great watcg!
Congratulations mate! A real beauty 😍 I have been around the watch since last year and somehow can not decide 😬 Still hoping that Tudor will come out with other variants of the BB58 and another non rivet or at least with a real rivet bracelet. You collections grows real very fast 😳 Do you make a SOTC video again? Best regards from Vienna 👋
Hi. Thank you! SOTC coming up! :)
Watch On - I guess - you are a keeper (as I’m) - so the SOTC will last minimum an hour 😂
WatchDater I can reveal I sold a lot of watches so we are under half an hour this time 😀
Bb58 silver
😍
It's a 60 click Bezel not 120
Congrats Anders!👍🏻 If you look at my Instagram @tobbensvensson you can see my first luxurywatch, I didn’t get the Speedy........I got the Rolex Explorer 2 , 216570 polar white! The Speedy will be further down the line!😉
Hi Torben. Excellent choice! Congratulations. I have a colleague who owns the same watch - it’s amazing 😀
I know I'm a minority here, but I really wish Tudor would make an exhibition back for these.
Lol, I thought it was a bit ironic that you didn't care about the scratches because it's a tool watch, but you still have the case back sticker on ... Oh no, and the clasp sticker!
Why do you need a higher power reserve? It's automatic, if you wear it, it winds itself. You sleep for what, 8 hrs a night hopefully? These gripes about power reserve are baseless.
Why an aluminium bezel? At this price point Tudor should have used a ceramic bezel which is much harder than the aluminium.
I like the choice of aluminium. It is right for the vintage look of the watch and I hope in ten years it has faded.
But how you are going to deal with the scratches?
Imran Chowdhury I never scratched my bezel inserts but it would definitely make that watch less attractive.
Well you scratching or not is a whole lot of story, ofcourse you can argue about vintage watch. To my point of aluminium bezel if so useful then Rolex and Omega should never turn their bezels into Ceramics right?
Imran Chowdhury it’s all a matter of taste. People seem to be perfectly happy with aluminium. BB sells like crazy.
I actually prefer the in house regular black bay with the fat case. The 58 feels a bit contrived and takes faux vintage too far.
