I'm not sure that you're allowed to personally personalize a " Trademark " name and then resale it at another price. I read you have to have permission, or a license to work with Stanley before doing things like this. Don't get me wrong. I think your mom does a beautiful job, but I'd be careful doing things like this. Trademark .. is .. Trademark and you can get sued over altering things and passing them off as your own. Also, I get that all the glass jewels are expensive, and the labor was long .. but think about the labor that the other people gave before putting it on a Walmart or Target shelf. Just be careful

All dishes and clothes will eventually get thrown away. No one has mentioned how stupid you all look with these bags and sneakers that cost as much as rent while taking the bus.
The rhinestones cost about $25 per cup. Because the rhinestones they are using are in the video they are from the bling dispensary. The best glue out there that is high temp dish washer safe glue is 20 bucks a tube. So the cost is much less than she is saying. I'm sure it's less than two 8 hour days of constant work to hand place those. I'm rhinestones. She could have added to the cost packaging to ship and equipment used to make them not just the supplies.

Um, you cannot charge customers for the full prices of the supplies. That’s like me as a makeup artist doing a client’s face and charging them for full bottles of foundations, concealer, eyeshadow pallets, brow pencils, lipsticks etc… that alone is over $500 plus the hourly wage (if I go by the hourly wage I get now for my experience and expertise would be $35/hr) would be $70 for two hours (depending on the look because each look takes a certain amount of time) so that alone is over $570…. The only thing they keep out of that is the makeup used on their face and the lashes… but they paid for everything. This is the same customer who can go to Sephora or Macy’s to get a full face of makeup for less than $100 just for the service…. You can try to justify your price point… but it really is pointless.
I checked out the prices on their website and the tumblrs RANGE from 100-300 based on what you want. You need to remember that she needs to earn a living too. For 16 hours of work, she earns around 15$/hr. And this doesn’t even include materials. The prices are completely justified for a handcrafted piece of work. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it.
I dont know if its comparable. You have makeup that can be used on multiple clients. These are cups that are for one person in particular and once the cup is gone, so are the materials. She had to keep buying cups. Etc, while your makeup can last you between multiple clients yknow? I hope thos isnt rude
@@英二-y4vThat’s what they were saying though; the makeup artist is comparing quoting people how much full bottles and containers of makeup cost to justify the price for one face bc this girl is giving us the price of an entire tube of glue (although I think that price is inflated, imo), entire bulk bags of crystals probably and probably counting the amount of time it takes to make multiple cups. I just can’t see it being profitable if she genuinely had to spend 16 hours on only one cup, but who knows. But I definitely see the comparison that the makeup artist is making bc I was thinking the same thing! And I didn’t think you came off as rude, so hopefully mine doesn’t either. : )

What their doing is for fun and because they like doing it.
The functional part of the cup is still factory made. For the added value of tacky costume jewelry that greatly reduces the utility of the Stanley you can pay an extra $700. I really hope she making that money. She blessed to be in that moment of her life succeeding as an entrepreneur 🙏🏼 to have a product that is a Stanley selling for $300 means she has the demand for it. It’s a bold move otherwise. That’s admirable. Hope she’s also making a killer profit !
The thing that kills me about people like that is they won't pay top dollar for something an artisan created and put hours of hard work into and no one elae has. BUT let some mass produced, made in a factory, high-end brand create the same thing and they'd buy it for more. Some people will even buy stuff just because everyone else has it, even if they don't like the item. This is why mom and pop places can never stay in business and large corporations have taken over.
That's how the world is, dumb and inconsiderate. Same how everyone wants iphones because everyone has one. They try to look rich with it because they cost a lot knowing that they only use the monthly payment lol. The world is jacked up and that's why I don't use any Apple products
Usually per cup. Very very strong, waterproof type of glue that can hold glass but also is non toxic and safe for dishwashers etc. Hella expensive in small amounts, and in batches they need? The only thing they keep out of that is the makeup used on their face and the lashes… but they paid for everything. This is the same customer who can go to Sephora or Macy’s to get a full face of makeup for less than $100 just for the service….
You can try to justify your price point… but it really is pointless.
I checked out the prices on their website and the tumblrs RANGE from 100-300 based on what you want. You need to remember that she needs to earn a living too. I dont know if its comparable. You have makeup that can be used on multiple clients. These are cups that are for one person in particular and once the cup is gone, so are the materials. She had to keep buying cups. Etc, while your makeup can last you between multiple clients yknow? I hope thos isnt rude

For that money I could buy the most expensive Killian perfume
?😕?
LMAO
People will pay hundreds of dollars for something made in a factory by a machine, but want to pay someone nickels for something handmade.
For real! People will ways spend big bucks on subpar mass produced products. But when they see someone make something they take advantage of them and demand it for cheap. And they always use the excuse that they can make it themselves.
its because the item thats handmade is a waste of money
@@Mareeux How so? If people want to buy it for that price then I don't see how it's a waste (and whether it's a waste or not is up to the person buying it). Especially if they will use the item everyday.
@@Mareeux you better be joking. So lets say this, you start a business making your own stuff and someone else says “what your doing is a waste of money” or “homemade stuff is a waste of money “ but you spend so much time and enjoy what you do but you need to realize that they spend hours and alot of money to get their own money. What their doing is for fun and because they like doing it.
The functional part of the cup is still factory made.
For the added value of tacky costume jewelry that greatly reduces the utility of the Stanley you can pay an extra $700.
Literally the only people who would want this at $800 are girls who depend on daddy for everything and older women who have never grown up, are dependent on their husbands and have never been told "no".
bruh- you gotta be MAD to buy a $300 cup 💀
300 bucks!!! Does it come with 220 Change in it cause holly overpriced plastic
It’s worth it for the time and effort as well as the quality
It's not plastic though? The Stanley Cups they use are made out of metal and they mentioned the gems are glass gems.
@@faerie5926 glass gems from china lmfooooooooooooooo
Seems like you could find that mass produced and much cheaper
@@katmomma5249 🙄 then don’t buy. Don’t need to put a small business down because you don’t care about quality and the people behind it.
I don’t care if it took 2 years no cup should cost 300 dollars… certain cases I possibly could understand but a rhinestoned Stanley cup. I love it get as much while you can, if they’ll pay 300 then that’s what you’re worth. Who am I to say different blessings to you and your family!
People sell handmade clay mugs for like $50-$100. No way a plastic rhinestone covered cup should be triple that for a hand sculpted and glazed mug
@@ElvenHeart457 it’s her prerogative and she’s a blessing to her family so why not
I really hope she making that money.
The world is jacked up and that's why I don't use any Apple products
you’re loosely using the word artisan
True!
EXAAAAACTLY "the lovers."
@@jadynnewsome390 idc bro androids fucking suck, im sticking by apple
If you spend $300 on a damn cup you shouldn’t be allowed to have adult money.
True lol
why not lmao
Or maybe.. stay with me now- some people can afford that shit?
Why?
I mean, unless you’re well off
Do you use the 30-40 dollar glue for one cup? Or does it cover a few cups?
Usually per cup. Very very strong, waterproof type of glue that can hold glass but also is non toxic and safe for dishwashers etc. Hella expensive in small amounts, and in batches they need? Even more so. 30-40 per cup actually totally adds up. Not sure if they get big batches of the glue or small ones. Big batches go around $500-600
@@RowanWolf22 I didn’t know the glue was so expensive, when I heard that I was a little skeptical because that seemed crazy. Thanks for your insight.
No the glue isn’t expensive but the stones are the cups and the time put into it
Placing 1 stone at a time
@@chinaluv7390 The stones are literally stuff you can get in a bubble gum machine they are not expensive 🤣
@@batacumba I've never in my life seen glue yhat expensive and I've been crafting for over 20 years. It also shouldn't take 16 hours to place those stones. I could probably do it in 2 or 3 hours.
at this point I’m just making it myself
This woman literally inflated every single price she spouted out to justify the cost of these raggedy ass cups.
Also, if your mom is spending 16 hours per cup, she’s either placing the rhinestones with her feet or simply taking too many breaks.
Stop playing with people like they’re vegetables.
Dont listen to haters. Do what makes you happy. I would buy one but i dont have enough. God loves you❤️
