  • Charlie Mellor, Head Gamekeeper at Peppering Farm, and Conor Haydon, Farms Manager for the Duke of Norfolk's Estate, introduces how and why they started conservation practices on the farm and how they increased the grey partridge count from 2 to approximately 300 breeding pairs. This was part of an event involving a farm tour which took place in June 2022, organised by Agricology in partnership with The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, and by kind permission of the Duke of Norfolk. It explored the three pillars of successful farmland bird conservation: habitat, food source, and predation control.
