I honestly think Mox is a self mutilater and addicted to cutting. I mean, I had a friend who was a cutter and I'm a recovering drug addict and it's literally the same feeling you get from doing either. I was a big Dean Ambrose fan in WWE. Before, I thought he was being underutilized at times. But the more I see Jon Moxley today, the more I understand why WWE went with Rollins and Reigns.

True. They balanced him out in The Shield. Seth would usually make everything look technically sound. Then you'd get a tag and couple of 'popular' Ambrose moves (Thesz press, some alternating quick slaps and punches, a lunatic lariat). And then, usually, someone would get speared by Roman or someone would get Triple Powerbombed.
They gave you just enough Dean to want to see more next time.
And during his singles run they gave him Stone Cold-like moments (but then way more random and out of nowhere).
Like the hotdog cart.... Or him hiding in a present to surprise Seth. It was a bit looney. But it was okay for what it was at the time.
And you could tell that WWE was keeping a leash on things just enough to make it work.
(I think that's we he lacks in AEW. Someone to restrict things a little bit)

Yeah the more you see of him in AEW the more you realize that while he was a bit of a comedy act at times with the WWE they did an incredible job presenting him as an actual star.
I think the contrast between Omega and Mox when it comes to blood is hilarious. Kenny is scared of getting color while Mox can't do anything without cutting himself open.
Now we know that Jim hates Moxley more than Omega.

The first time I saw the barbed wire chair was in the Batista/HHH hell in a cell from 2005. Though I thought it was slight overkill at the time, it’s straight up overkill now. But then again I still think the sledgehammer is the dumbest weapon of them all.

I feel so vindicated right now, because I absolutely despised Dean Ambrose and everything he did in WWE. He's even worse now.

People only liked Ambrose because he was the stereotypical psychopath character, and people like those. His work was always boring as shit though.

Going from Lesnar driving his skull into exposed metal to help present believability in a match and then seeing moxley just slice his fucking head right in front of the camera with a blade is a fucking joke
i like how jim described his willingness to bear through this match as "morbid curiosity". At this stage, AEW is The Room and Tony Khan is like an 1/8th Tommy Wiseau with all the goofs being another portion of Tommy. at least with Tommy Wiseau, he eventually started to embrace how The Room was bad and can have fun with it. I think people like Moxley are more akin to Neil Breen where there is no self-awareness and they really do believe what they do is good. maybe Kenny and the Bucks are like Tom Six; there's an audience for them and an unapologetic one at that but they know their audience.

I was there live and as soon as Mox was hit, my section was like “ohhh there he is! He’s blading again” and you could see him on the ground with his feet over his head blading his forehead. It was something. He doesn’t even try and do it discreetly. The crowd went crazy for this match. I thought it sucked. Taking apart the ring was blaaah. We all did pop tho when the cage broke and I yelled when Kelly was hit cause I can’t stand him lmao

I’m not sure why Mox bleeds every match. The benefits to bleeding fade away if you do it nearly every match and multiple matches of the night have blood. I can’t imagine him bleeding this often is doing him any favors physically or professionally at this point.

I would like to note that I was there for this and after it was over the bucks came down to help omega and they both went to the door of the cage and not THE BIG ASS HOLE IN THE CAGE.

Jim actually liked Mox when debuted in AEW
Contextually, it seems that Jim thinks that 1. Mox’s natural inclination is towards the geekiest type of mud-show wrestling as Jim might call it. It seems that omega only has a handful of REALLY over the top stuff that Jim hates. Mox meanwhile wallows in a place that Jim doesn’t care for. 2. At this point it’s likely that Jim thinks Mox is firmly in “All Friends Wrestling” as JC had called it. Which probably reminds him of The Kliq at their worst.
Mox has been bleeding in almost every match he is in. He is also trying to turn every time he is on tv into some weird "Xtreme" stuff by gouging people's heads with screwdrivers, using broken glass barbed wire, etc.
All while he is running his mouth about how important he is to AEW. He flat out admitted on Renee's podcast that he held the world title hostage while not under contract and refused to lose to Punk until he beat the guy first. He said even being willing to lose to him at all was doing him a favor since he wasn't under contract and didn't have to do anything. He went so far as to say he could have shown up with the belt at SummerSlam if he wanted.
The guy has turned into a joke.

Not saying he wouldn't dislike him for the stuff he did in DDT, or his in ring style but his personal interactions with Omega have made his dislike for him more extreme
He has really been laying into Mox lately in a way usually reserved for people that have personally wronged him
It’s simple. Corny hates anything that exposes, demeans or in any way makes a mockery of the wrestling business.
While Kenny at one point was doing a lot of those things, the last couple years he has been pretty serious in being a wrestler. At worst he has a couple spots that aren’t believable.
In that same time frame, Moxley is out there blading in damn near every match. Lately, he’s literally insistent on acting like he’s going to stab his opponents with a screw driver during matches like he’s going to murder someone. Any idea he has creatively seems to amount to “I’m a huge badass and I beat everyone’s ass” like he’s the love child of Bob Holly and Warrior.
That whole weird “Punk dropping the title for a weekend” was apparently because Mox watched Rocky 3 and decided he’s basically Clubber Lang.

This feud comes across as having wrestlers that are into and need it(Mox and The Bucks) and the rest who were dragged into just by connection. Omega, Yuta, and the rest of the BCC have that “I’m just here because of the other guys” energy about their involvement.
Between Bucks/Cole, Jungle/Christian, and now Don/Kenny… there is a lot of guys kissing in AEW
I was there, everyone was just laughing at them.
Some diehards said it was 4.75 or 5, they are out of their mind i'm a neutral fans and it was nothing more than 4/5... So many spot was trash like the rope spot that didn't strangle omega at all during 1-2 minute and they hold that move when u can see the rope not close at all of is neck.
Not one mention of how much heat Callis got for the heel turn. What a shame

I swear this company wants to be ECW😂😂
Jim doesn’t realize THESE fans only love or care at all about Moxley because he was a big star in WWE as Dean Ambrose. That is it. They are the same fans regardless of what they want to say.

Was their another match of it with "kids" . But as I understand if it was the same match he did in Japan the person it was their big wish and dream to do a pro wrestling match. Now you can still say that is no excuse but if true I'd willing to cut him some slack for him to have had the heart of helping to make someone's big and/or dream come true.
It was an okay match that everybody's blowing out of proportion 15 V triggers same f****** moves over and over but when Omega went to that cage that was pretty f***** up
one thing that destroys moxley's crediabity as a tough guy is his entrance theme. It kills any reason to take him seriously before he does all his stuff in the match. His theme wild thing works better for a val venus them any tough guy image

It may be worth clarifying that the actions with children and sex toys were not necessarily at the same time. While Kenny may be a bad wrestler, I don't believe he's been accused of child abuse

Everything in this match was so goddam hokey. The turnbuckle spot was ridiculous . The side of the cage collapsing because of Kenny's V-trigger was equally stupid. That spot works when its Reigns spearing Brock. A wimpy thigh slap knee lift tearing down the cage wall looks obviously gimmicked. The worst spot though was the screw driver stab. For something as violent as being stabbed by a sharp piece of metal Kenny had the tiniest spot of blood on his head possible. It was barely even visible. It was embarrassing to watch. This was one of the worst things ive seen on AEW and that covers quite a lot.
Plumber Mox blading so blatantly on camera is so beyond lame at this point. Brock busting himself open hard way was incredible because it never happens.
People remember Brock busting Randy up with elbows at SS from 6 or 7 years ago bc it never happens and stands out. Moxley is embarrassing, honestly.

Putting Brock Lesnar case aside. The reason seeing blood in WWE always felt unique is because we know it was banned. It always happen because of something unexpected happen. What happen in AEW felt like clockwork.
I said it before.. That match where WMD Britt got blood and asked Dave about it right after backstage and ever since that match every single episode has had blood
