Unboxing SUNSUN GRECH CBG-500 HOB filter (noisy?)

I bought this Sun Sun GRECH-500 with capacity of 10-30gallon because my old filter is not enough for my new aquarium 85cmX34cmX34cm. After 3weeks of using I cant say how good it is because I'm using chemical to help my water clear but when I changed my filter after two week it really suck the dirt because my sponge was very dirty and has a very silent motor that you can't almost hear it. For me its a good filter because it already has skimmer and UV light.

Hi, I'm planning to buy this for my 15-gallon tank. Do you think it will fit on rimmed tanks? Mine has a 1-inch rim. Also, does it supply enough aeration to the water?

Yes the pump size is enough for your water . But im not sure if it will fit on your 1" rimm edge.

If your concern is media filter/biological filter I would suggest HBL-803. And UV light is good to have but not really required on aquarium in my opinion.

Yes it can prime itself once the power backs. You can add water only once when its new or cleaning the whole filter.

What I checked on google it says need to be open 24/7. But I turn it off before adding fertz and turn it on again after 24hrs.

I think it helps and with just enough light. My tank does have some algae if you have strong light for 12hrs.

I keep it always on except if i add liquid fertilizer I turn it off for a day only.

Im not sure but i just read a commemt on facebook that fertilizer will not be effective if your UV light is on when adding fertilizer.
