I really like it HOWEVER since it is not classified as an ebike it won't fit in the no registration no license needed to ride. Looks like I would need both things to be compliant with the state laws and regulations. At that point I might as well buy a used 400cc (or new) for the same price point if license and registration is required.
That's true but think of the low maintenance. I just need one to get back and forth to work, which is like ten minutes from my house. No gas, oil, leaks, and the entire drive train is a motor, a controller and a battery.

@@cocoabiscuits Not sure about low maintenance chief. That might go to those cheap gas bikes you mentioned. Think about the repairs when something breaks down. Gas powered vehicles are at an advantage in that regard since their parts and shops for repair are more readily available. On top of no range anxiety. Don't get me wrong I love e-bikes but we are nowhere near gas bikes in terms of value. We can easily buy a used scooter or what not for $3-500 and have the same top speed and such. Someday, when we solve the battery limitations and durability, then we can outshine gas powered bikes. It's funny too how they are advertised as environmentaly friendly when we use fossil fuels to charge the batteries anyway 😂

Great content as always. Real talk, the only thing holding me back from the Javelin would be the maintenance. Carpentry/standard home issues I'm good, but maintaining this machine so it doesn't kill me is more than I'd like. Does Sparks offer maintenance/tuneups? I'm local to them, so bringing it in would be possible.
So that means you no longer have any issues. Yes, you can bring it to them. They would be more than happy to tune it up at the beginning of the riding season and prepare it for storage….
You keep on saying 5kw motor but spark advertised it as 4kw, 5 hp. So is it really going to be a 5kw motor detuned to 4kw?
Yes… this is correct….
my only worry about this bike is there’s no way for cool air to flow to the battery, nor any space for the hot air to escape that emits from the battery and controller. Love the bike but it’ll overheat easily

Just test drove it… It’s more nimble than it looks. The frame is bulky but it’s necessary. It’s actually a clever design frame. I went with the brute but it was a hard decision between the javelin

I believe they are working on it… There’s a lot of shit on Matt’s plate and he’s killing it. Just gotta be patient…It’s going to be a PEGAL like retrofit.
How come front n rear brake calibres are different in?color. I like the rear, gold color better.

E-motorcycles still have a long way to go. Why compare these to e-bikes there not so don't miss lead your viewers. Better have VIN cause you're going to need it 😂
Have you followed Spark CycleWorks… they started with e-bikes and upgraded their lineup… it’s only fitting to compare them to e-bikes… This is also the trend… where most people who ride e-bikes eventually upgrade them… it’s not misleading…
