Herod's temple was shaped in a T, but would not have anything to do with later Christianity as the construction began before Jesus was even born.
Yea, I'm aware of that. The temple is called Herod's to distinguish it from Solomon's temple (which is also the Lord's temple). The issue is if you call it the Lord's temple, you have no way to say which temple (unless you call it the Lord's first and second temple, which most people just don't do). Scholars call it Herod's because he built it, just like Solomon built the first temple of Jerusalem.
The problem with even that is for example if you say the Temple at the time of Solomon, the temple that Solomon built lasted for about 400 years, so who do you say? The temple during Solomon, Elijah, Isaiah, Hezekiah, etc.? And the same for Herod's which did not last as long, but was being built before the life of Jesus and was around for about 90 years. Who do you choose as the "person" to represent 400 years of history? It really is the easiest to just say who was the main person who built it. That is why we say the Tabernacle of Moses, Solomon's Temple, Zerubbabel's temple, and Herod's temple as the main iterations of the places of worship for Israel.
@Damion, thank you! Glad you have enjoyed the videos. Many more to come, and this is only the first of many on Herod's temple. Sure, it is a theory only supported by a handful of writers who never have actually dug in Israel, or have any sort of reputable degree in the field. I know of no archeologist who supports the idea. None. Not to be blunt, but there is no standing for the theory. I do hope to do a video at some point on this exact subject, so hopefully, that will give you some of the reasons I come across so strongly. I will just give you one such example. If they are correct about the location, it would mean that people built many homes, buildings, palaces, etc. UNDER the temple and lived there for hundreds of years.

We need an entire video about the progression of the Jewish Temple from the Tabernacle to Herod's Temple. The only one I can't seem to find any representation of is Zerubbabel's Temple, which I think is VERY important in understanding how the Jews expected the Messiah to appear. I may or not be the only one who caught onto this, but I think the progression of the Temple quite literally represents Christ, from birth, life, death, and ressurection. Has anyone else noticed that?
Jesus said the Jews turn a house of prayer into a den of theives Then he started whomping with a stick And Jesus said he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days . Jesus is not a liar
Well, we don't know a lot of the details, but we have some archeology and historical sources that describe it. According to these sources it is at least a very plausible depiction but we really don't know for sure as there are of course no photographs or floor plans left.
Sorry people but we're they say the temple stood was actually the roman barricks called Antonia were 10.000 Romans lived. And the western wall were the people pray is really a part of the original fortress wall of Antonia..
It's a Salomo's temple? or Antonia tower? Solomon's temple did not have those measurements that they are describing there. they have to read the word, 1kings, recommended
This would be Herod's Temple built long after the destruction of Solomon's temple this one was built with different measurements and with a different style.
It’s odd that the Temple restored by the Hasmonean king Herod who was an Arab and non-Jew is so celebrated. Even is ‘grand work’ was not sanctified by the Jewish God that is said to dwell within, even after the Maccabean restoration.
Yes, a small postage stamp that could host 2-3 million Jews during Passover (according to Josephus, the same source you are using for the numbers at the fort). Yes, a fort housing 10,000 needs far more space than a temple serving 2-3 million. The logic is crystal clear... Oh, wait. Nevermind.

Has anyone else noticed that?
the soundtrack really touches my soul
wow glory be to God.
B”H - ready for Yeshua’s return!
Never i dont was there but one day the lord give me the wai to go the temple of him
Stunning and worthy of our Lord.
All those stones were thrown down
Jesus said the Jews turn a house of prayer into a den of theives
Then he started whomping with a stick
And
Jesus said he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days .
Jesus is not a liar
Is this accurate ?
Well, we don't know a lot of the details, but we have some archeology and historical sources that describe it. According to these sources it is at least a very plausible depiction but we really don't know for sure as there are of course no photographs or floor plans left.
Wow! breathtaking.!!!
Sorry people but we're they say the temple stood was actually the roman barricks called Antonia were 10.000 Romans lived. And the western wall were the people pray is really a part of the original fortress wall of Antonia..
THis is so beautiful
It's a Salomo's temple? or Antonia tower?
Solomon's temple did not have those measurements that they are describing there. they have to read the word, 1kings, recommended
This would be Herod's Temple built long after the destruction of Solomon's temple this one was built with different measurements and with a different style.
@@christianvega198 that's right I'm mean so that !!

# NOW YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD ! JLU.
It’s odd that the Temple restored by the Hasmonean king Herod who was an Arab and non-Jew is so celebrated. Even is ‘grand work’ was not sanctified by the Jewish God that is said to dwell within, even after the Maccabean restoration.
whose temple is this ? Jews Christians or Mohamedians ?
It was a Jewish temple, but where Jesus worshiped. So both Jews and Christians worshiped there before it was destroyed.
In your dreams. The Antonia was a small city, housing 10,000 Roman soldiers, the Temple was 'postage stamp' next to it.
Yes, a small postage stamp that could host 2-3 million Jews during Passover (according to Josephus, the same source you are using for the numbers at the fort). Yes, a fort housing 10,000 needs far more space than a temple serving 2-3 million. The logic is crystal clear... Oh, wait. Nevermind.

And the veil of the Temple was torn in two, because Jesus is the way into the presence of God.
