Wise words, indeed!🙏
God bless you!
We must do our part in reconstructing the third temple
Breathtaking graphics. It really makes me wish I could have seen the real thing. That last view of the temple site was heart stopping.
@calvin Jackson if you ever could come to holy land park (in Orlando, Florida -- that's where I'm from) it's a virtual experience of being in the Israel of the bible times, including Jerusalem and Solomon's temple. Blessings and maranatha +++
Jesus said he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days
Do you think Jesus is a liar?
@@barneygimble8984 @barney, your question is a genuine one.
But, as the bible says, he wasn't talking about solomon's then herod's temple, but about his body, about himself (he was going to be crucified and risen at the 3rd day.

Then Jews should stop worshipping red cows?
Why don't the Christians tell the Jews ? Instead of sending money to build a giant kosher slaughterhouse?

It really gives a new appreciation for the visual and atmosphere of what people actually were living in and around. That alone gives understanding to those who were intimidated when having to see officials in a biblical time. It's like when going to a new city and everything is so different to what you know.
That is the hope! Seeing it in 3D just brings it to life!

@@messagesofChrist all we need to know concerning the location of the Jewish temples is found vividly in scripture. The "temple mount" wasn't in the city of Jerusalem when the temples were built.
@@MichaelLMayes It became part of Jerusalem, when King David bought the land. (See my post, below.)
@@davidlafleche1142 Where is that in scripture? David simply purchased the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, which was in Jerusalem the city of David. Nowhere will you find that David had to leave the city to get to the threshingfloor. There are those who teach that he did, however, they have absolutely no biblical record of such. Always base your beliefs on God's Word, not the traditions of man. May the LORD bless you.
@@MichaelLMayes I did not say he left the city.
Jesus Christ is all the temple we need.
“Not one stone will be upon another. Everything will be demolished” Matt 24:2
“Demolish this Sanctuary and in 3 days I will rebuild it” John 2:19
Thank you JESUS.
Today in my dream, "I was in the land of jerusalem and i filled with unknown happiness. I reached that sand filled place. I saw a unholy temple in there which is reddish in colour. I saw some men in blue coloured dress there, who had the authority to build the new temple. They have been able to evict some of the tenants and the poor near the place(They had started these procedures very early, but had stopped in the middle). The children of the locals showing dirtiness. But the people who have the authority to build the temple busy with their own business.. Their elephant invaded other people's places greedily and got more food than the hunger."
What does this mean?
@@yinkadavies8403 This is about a dream I had about four months ago.
I got some clues ;
People dressed in blue = priesthood
Elephant = government
Red painted temple = sin/unholy/bloodshed of saints
This was so breathtaking. I'm so full of awe. 🙌🏽
Thank you! ❤️

Did God also plan for it to be burned down?
I'm not even a Jews, but that temple is really magnificent to see (if it still exists today)
It was destroyed by the Roman's sadly.

We need an entire video about the progression of the Jewish Temple from the Tabernacle to Herod's Temple. The only one I can't seem to find any representation of is Zerubbabel's Temple, which I think is VERY important in understanding how the Jews expected the Messiah to appear. I may or not be the only one who caught onto this, but I think the progression of the Temple quite literally represents Christ, from birth, life, death, and ressurection. Has anyone else noticed that?

If I am not mistaken it was the first century historian Josephus who said you have not seen a building until you have seen Herod's temple. If I got the wrong historian someone please correct me. I wish Titus had not let the soldiers destroy it. I wish I could have seen it and the temple of Solomon.
Lord jesus christ.. i love you.
How do you call the architectural style used in this period? I see the Ionic Order was used for the stoa and some pillars have a variation of the Composite Order, coloured in the cloisters. Did it have a fixed orientation of the building? At 1:41 the entire plan is laid like T-cross in its shape. I'm not sure Herude's temple was something to do with religious symbolism of the cross?
Herod's temple was shaped in a T, but would not have anything to do with later Christianity as the construction began before Jesus was even born. As for the design, it would have been in the classical design. The design team for the 3D model is not very knowledgeable in classical design, so that has been one of the challenges. I've tried to help them, but even I don't fully understand classical design principles. In reality, it would have been more classical than what we are showing. Also, we do know that Herod did like to "break" the rules a bit for classical design, which would mean there would be adaptation to what you would normally see.
So many incredible buildings made by human beings that would take your breath away have been destroyed by mans wars. Just think how great it would be to see the temple of Solomon still standing just as ancient Greek temples are still standing today. The Jews would really have something to show with pride. It would prove Solomon and David were real.
And the veil of the Temple was torn in two, because Jesus is the way into the presence of God.
Bless God

How many years would it take to rebuild the 3rd Temple? Even with the technology we have today, it would take years. Think of all the gold and silver needed, the lumber, etc
They already have it all ready.
Remember Jesus and Paul said it would come
MaskofMystery antihrist will be crowned here and they will think is Jesus. Don t be fooled. Enoch and Ilie will come first amd they will tell you the truth. And after that Jesus will come.

It’s odd that the Temple restored by the Hasmonean king Herod who was an Arab and non-Jew is so celebrated. Even is ‘grand work’ was not sanctified by the Jewish God that is said to dwell within, even after the Maccabean restoration.
Btw it's the Lord's temple not Herod's.
Yea, I'm aware of that. The temple is called Herod's to distinguish it from Solomon's temple (which is also the Lord's temple). The issue is if you call it the Lord's temple, you have no way to say which temple (unless you call it the Lord's first and second temple, which most people just don't do). Scholars call it Herod's because he built it, just like Solomon built the first temple of Jerusalem.
@@messagesofChrist Ok agreed, I must say great video as well. I have watched many of your videos, you di excellent work. My God bless your Ministry.
The problem with even that is for example if you say the Temple at the time of Solomon, the temple that Solomon built lasted for about 400 years, so who do you say? The temple during Solomon, Elijah, Isaiah, Hezekiah, etc.? And the same for Herod's which did not last as long, but was being built before the life of Jesus and was around for about 90 years. Who do you choose as the "person" to represent 400 years of history? It really is the easiest to just say who was the main person who built it. That is why we say the Tabernacle of Moses, Solomon's Temple, Zerubbabel's temple, and Herod's temple as the main iterations of the places of worship for Israel.
@Damion, thank you! Glad you have enjoyed the videos. Many more to come, and this is only the first of many on Herod's temple. I plan to have one that goes into great detail about all the buildings, but that will take some time as I have to produce all the 3D models for that and render them. Anyway, thanks again!

One small note: why are there Roman soldiers walking through the temple precincts? A Roman would never have been "willingly" allowed to walk within the confines of the holy temple. Just saying. ;~)
I assume you are referring to 0:27. It is a Roman soldier, but the animation is actually from inside the Antonia Fortress which was part of the Temple complex, but also the location where soldiers were housed. I realize it is not very clear in the video where the footage is located, so I understand the confusion. At some point, I will have a more detailed video that will explain little things like this.
@@messagesofChrist Ahhh, well yes, Fortress Antonia, yes makes sense. That was adjacent to the temple. And separated by a colonnade and several hundred feet.
Thanks! Nice job, by the way.
Yea, if you look at the clip just preceding the Roman soldier you will see the outside of the fort with the four towers and the Roman banners. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
