Just in case you guys are getting bored of the malls, you can go to Dunia Fantasi (a huge theme park in Northern Jakarta), and Museum Galeri Nasional (a temporary art museum in Central Jakarta). As for snacks/food/beverage brands you can get in stores: Kapal Api Special, East Bali Cashews, Krakatoa chocolate, Bengbeng, Taro Net, Qtela tempe chips, Gloria Abon Sapi, Monde Serena snack, Mie Sedap, and the infamous Indomie. Also you should try some brown sugar iced coffee (usually it's called Aren Latte), my favorite is the one from Tuku. 1. Generally, malls in Indonesia are one-stop entertainment for families, food, kids play and shops so they are visited by many people. 2. There are many malls in Jakarta and the most crowded are: Pondok Indah Mall, Kelapa Gading Mall, Central Park Mall, Grand Indonesia Mall, Senayan City 3. Massage in Indonesia There is sensual massage or non-sensual massage, generally non-sensual massage is labeled family massage so that visitors do not enter the wrong place and it is safe massage for men and women.
Speaking of Pacific Place Mall, it is located in the Sudirman Central Business District. It is usually crowded on weekdays. If you want to see other malls that are crowded every day, you can visit Grand Indonesia on Jalan Thamrin, Senayan City in the Senayan area, and the average mall in Jakarta is always crowded on both weekdays and weekends, except for Pacific Place. Enjoy Jakarta!
25:20 so Indonesian go to minimarket are Indomaret and Alfamart, they are Indonesian minimarket and if you at Jakarta, you actually can go to Indomaret HQ and shop there to see the full example of what they have, they are section on Indomaret HQ building that you can actually visit to buy something. Just something you might want to check out, also they are PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) that basically new coastal city North of Jakarta that you can visit and definitely recommend if your trying to find something modern but still unique, have fun exploring😅
10:27 lamborghini in indonesia cost 3times price from the state 😅 If im not mistaken, that green lambo is super rare & fun fact is lamborgini company has been bought by indonesian in 90s 🤣
Pacific Place has an image as a luxurious mall, as it has stores of luxury brands on its ground floor. Heck it even has a Lamborghini showroom 🤣 That's the main reason why common Jakartans rarely visit this mall. They prefer to shop and dine in mid-class malls which are a lot more affordable and mostly located nearby their residence. Each region of Jakarta has its own to-go mid-class malls, such as Pondok Indah Mall and Gandaria City in South, Central Park in West, Senayan City in Central, and Mal Kelapa Gading in North.
@ChovyTravel One of the most unique malls is Neo Soho in Western Jakarta. The mall has two-stories aquarium named Jakarta Aquarium. The entrance fee is around IDR 175.000 ($10). If that's your thing, kindly visit and review it one day. The mall is also connected to Central Park Mall through skybridge & underground tunnel.
You need to know that throughout Jakarta there are more than 70 malls like this, because Jakarta is a very large and vast city with a population of more than 12 million people,…
SCBD stand for Sudirman Central Business District, Sudirman is the name of the large main street which is taken from Indonesian hero of Independence. The pork ribs sweet and savory flavors are coming from Kecap Manis or Sweet Soy Sauce which is like a staple sauce must have everywhere in Indonesia. Although Soy Sauce itself not invented by Indonesia, Kecap Manis are rarely be found in other countries. This makes Indonesian foods different than other countries that has the same or similar dish, also the massive choice of spices Indonesia has.
3:15 quite the contrary actually. A lot of fast-food chains are located in high-end mall to offer a more affordable alternative, because high-end malls tend to have upscale and pricey restaurants 🤣You'll almost always find fast-food options, such as KFC, in the food court area, typically located on the top floor or basement level.
10:40 that's just an example of several Lamborghini car models, there will definitely be super cars but they're not on display because if they're all on display there won't be enough to be displayed in the mall
Well, Jakarta have so many mall not to mention the other city surrounding Jakarta also have many malls, usually people go to whatever they prefer since is so many mall and honestly depends on what you prefer too😅
You can visit Supermarket in Sarinah, the name is Pasarina by Ranch Market... but to be real, Indonesian usually dont go shopping there, it is premium supermarket hahahaha
Actually we dont really go to that mall because we have a lot of options. Tons of malls in Indonesia. You should go to PIK (pantai indah kapuk), pakuwon mall, central park, gandaria city mall, pondok indah mall, mall casablanca, and many more
you should go to PIK 2 , Kota Tua , Ancol , Dufan , sea world and Taman Mini Indonesian indah❤ and jakarta we have the Zoo the ticket its very cheap only 1$
Those are definitely a must go to places in jakarta, especially PIK! They have a massive Chinese palace themed restaurant and human made beach. Enjoy your travel!
Jakarta has hundreds of malls with many kind of standards & type. And don’t worry about the cleanness of it. For 5-4 stars malls they have very high standard of hygiene & cleanliness. Also for the 3 stars malls ( like ITC, Thamrin City etc) malls for most of the middle to low class people, still they quiet clean. The emptiness of this malls, maybe just cos of the timing. Everybody in Jakarta of course know that malls. Indonesian has many types of markets. From the luxurious one like u just visited in those malls, middle class sipermarket like Superinfo, Trans Mart etc, mini markets such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Circle K, Lawson, etc to people’s traditional market that only open in early morning.
Indeed, Pacific Place is super luxurious mall, but it's not my favorite, maybe most of people too, so why it's kinda quiet and a lot of store are closed. My favorite is Pondok Indah Mall, Senayan City, and Grand Indonesia. And every mall in Jakarta must have Japanenese restaurant because a lot of Indonesian love it.
Try Bakso, Soto Betawi, Pecel Lele, Bakmi, Sate Ayam, Martabak Telur, Terang Bulan. these are foods that is well known from indonesia And Try Mie Gacoan or Wizz Mee, species noodle in indonesia

Warga lokal bukan tidak tahu mall itu..tetapi karena banyak mall di wilayah jakarta yang mereka dapat kunjungi...baik di pusat.selatan barat.utara dan timur jakarta
Go to Indomaret point if you want to try some ready to eat meals and beverages with local snack. A lot of people love their coffee than Starbucks. Besides that, you can find local snack at griya or yogya (supermarket) if you are at Bandung or west java. You can find aroma coffee also at there. It is a legendary bandung coffee or you can come directly to the production site to get the fresh one.
If you willing to go to just right outside Jakarta is called Cinere. There is Suprindo the local market inside a mall, but the mall is not luxurious. From there you can experience tradional Indonesian food called Kampung Kecil, i thinknu will like the experience eating there, you can google it. n its nearby the mall you can walk there. Come out from the mall turn left, keep walking along the main road, bit will on the same side of the road as the mall. If you like coffee, our previous president Jokowi, likes the coffee called kopi Tuku and its also not far. They also sell cookies, brownies, donat.
Pacific place not even the most fancy place in Jakarta, i mean its quite fancy but a lot fancier mall out there like Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia etc. Also nowadays so many Korean food in Jakarta, Japanese ofc the most popular foreign food in Indonesia. But i think Korean food in Indonesia mostly fussion, because i doubt Indonesian would accept the actual 100% Korean food. Cuz i have a bunch Indonesian friend who work or study in Korea mostly they dont really like authentic Korean Food 😮😮
That’s awesome! So many beautiful malls to visit. Yes! We definitely noticed Indonesia is heavily Japan/Korea influenced Oh really!? Interesting! Thought they seemed to like it more authentic 🤔
I like Indonesia very much, the people are very friendly, kind and HONEST. Indonesians are the best people in Southeast Asia. Also, Indonesia has beautiful landscapes and nature. The only downside is the food, I don't like Indonesian food at all. The Malaysians are also nice people, but there are too many Chinese in Malaysia. I am also Chinese from Thailand, but I find Chinese in Malaysia very unpleasant people, loud, boastful and jealous. The Thais and Pinoys have a similar mentality, I am glad that I don't live in Thailand permanently, I only go to Thailand sometimes for holiday.
Back in 17th Century, Dutch came for spices in this archipelago. The prices of cloves was even higher than gold at that time, the Dutch Company that monopolized the tradings here (VOC) until right now is still the richest company that ever exist on earth.
Kidzania!!!! That's a whole playground for kids-teens to have a try at various jobs! Making pizza or food sponsored by actual brands, getting a driver's license, be a doctor, be a pilot, an electrician? I forgot what occupations were there, but there's a lot and it's like a really cool miniature city! Then you can spend the salary you get (Kidzania money) on things or services like fortune telling even! I still have my Kidzania citizen ID from middle school. It's unfortunate that I was giga socially anxious back then, so I feel like I didn't maximally spent my time there. But it was really cool for sure. 👍 Ngl I'd shamelessly attend an Adolescentzania if it existed 😂
Guys.. in terms of why it may not be busy on the weekend.. Indonesia is a very high percentage Muslim country. Typically Muslim country weekends are not the regular Saturday and Sunday. Could be Friday and Saturday. So, if you are there on a Sunday that could be one reason.
No... Wendy's is not a fancy thing in Indonesia....you could find it every where....Wendy's probably has huge pockets so they afford to rent in this mall .... basically I'm not really a junk food person so idk exactly the price of the item..... just FYI you can find Wendy's anywhere

You say..."why aren't so many people come to the mall" Why...for one is that mall is a high end mall. Mostly for expensive and luxurious brands and outlets. And also is situated in one of elite location in the center of jakarta, where it sarrounded with mostly apartments and office complex. People much rather visit malls that is "commoners friendly". Cheaper and nearby to where you reside.
Chitato potato chips are amazing. There are many flavors, with the classic being the beef flavor. It's everywhere. Indomi are also good brand of instant noodles, especially mi goreng flavor. Indonesian fried chicken are world class. There are so many brands and they all taste better than KFC, and a set could be as low as 20,000 Rp.

Warga lokal bukan tidak tahu mall itu..tetapi karena banyak mall di wilayah jakarta yang mereka dapat kunjungi...baik di pusat.selatan barat.utara dan timur jakarta
We noticed there are a ton of malls in Jakarta. Pretty crazy.
Might be you can visit Transmart groceries store for all Indonesian goods.
👍😊
Oh! Thank you for sharing!! 💕
You should visit
1 east java
2 borobudur temple
Thank you for the recommendations! Have you been there?
Go to Indomaret point if you want to try some ready to eat meals and beverages with local snack. A lot of people love their coffee than Starbucks.
Besides that, you can find local snack at griya or yogya (supermarket) if you are at Bandung or west java. You can find aroma coffee also at there. It is a legendary bandung coffee or you can come directly to the production site to get the fresh one.
Really!? Thank you for the tip! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 Appreciate it!
SUPERINDO Supermarket is very local supermarket... or HYPERMART in Kemang Village
Thank you for letting us know! Appreciate it! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Ur welcome, enjoy your time in Indonesia
Yes! We definitely noticed Indonesia is heavily Japan/Korea influenced
Oh really!?
Indonesians are very nice. We met so many sweet people who are very friendly and kind. 🥰🥰
Back in 17th Century, Dutch came for spices in this archipelago. The prices of cloves was even higher than gold at that time, the Dutch Company that monopolized the tradings here (VOC) until right now is still the richest company that ever exist on earth.
Wow, Interesting! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
try street food Indonesia
Which street food do you recommend? There are so many options in Indonesian street food!
martabak, gado gado, soto betawi, sate 😊
Okay 👌 😋
Try Sundanese-style food, fresh and various types of chili sauce at a Sundanese restaurant
Interesting! 🤔 Will have to look into it. Thank you for the recommendation! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
@ChovyTravel you're welcome..my pleasure.. 🙏
Wow! Interesting! Thank you so very much for the info and sharing 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Guys.. in terms of why it may not be busy on the weekend.. Indonesia is a very high percentage Muslim country. Typically Muslim country weekends are not the regular Saturday and Sunday. Could be Friday and Saturday. So, if you are there on a Sunday that could be one reason.
No, Friday is usual working day here. Some small businesses may be off on Friday but not for government officials and other businesses.
Ahh! Icic! Thank you for the heads up! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Interesting! Thank you for sharing! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
😊😊😄😄👍👍
👋😊👍❤️🤍
Karena di jakarta ada 96 mall, setiap pengunjung akan pergi ke mall terdekat dari tempat tinggal nya, sehingga tiap mall tidak akan terasa ramai.
Jakarta sounds like our kind of City! 🥰 We do love malls!
By IMF and world bank jakarta metropolitan city is central busines in southeast.not Singapura or Kuala lumpur.its real 👍
Icic! Thank you for sharing! 😃
@@ChovyTravel 🙏
Dream Car - Porsche Taycan (electric) or Porsche 911 GT3 (gas).
That’s a nice ride! Actually, they’re both nice! 😃

I agree on that or they should put v10 or v12
Or yet buy a GTR
GTR ❤️❤️❤️
No... Wendy's is not a fancy thing in Indonesia....you could find it every where....Wendy's probably has huge pockets so they afford to rent in this mall .... basically I'm not really a junk food person so idk exactly the price of the item..... just FYI you can find Wendy's anywhere
It was a rather beautiful Wendy’s. We’re so used to Wendy’s in the states where it’s somewhat run down. Seeing a nice modernized one was a shock for us 😅
@ChovyTravel uhh...I know what you mean....been to US so many times..... Wendy's there is kinda cold....the chair's cold...it feels dead even it's busy.. don't get me wrong..just my expression.. comparison US and Indonesia Wendy's.. not the food but the inside of the resto., the vibe..in Indonesia even it's quite sometimes but feels like more exciting ...tbh.....😂😂..
Lol 😆
@@ChovyTravel .haha...the people so cold.... Indonesia too but weird feeling kinda cold 😂😂..... my first US visit.....idk if it's crazy or not....the size of the drink.....omg...is that really just for one person soda cup or for the whole resto....I mean it's huge...crazy..tbh i only drink like 2 inches from the top or less....omg....I'm from the family who always try not to waste food or drink.......but this .... sorry to say....i did...
After I observed you are both just too nice.... you gave us such a good rating of everything....just please be more honest...so we are Indonesia could fix it..but if it's really true rating..I appreciate it too....and i have a giggle when you gave such a weird rating too..such 8,2 or 7,7..... something like that hehehe....so different.... it's just weird in a good way.... sounds more serious than just numbers....
u must trying indonesian salad call gado gado.
Any particular place that has the best Gado Gado you consider your favorite?
American food are salted to death, good but tasted like its been salted itu 6 pound of salt specially if its already cold/room temperature
Yes, American food can be salty 😅
Subbed
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Appreciate the love and support!
Irony: I'm watching this while in a mall.
Lol NICE 🤣🤣
가족 추천 대상 pik 2
It’s on our list! 👍👍
You say..."why aren't so many people come to the mall"
Why...for one is that mall is a high end mall. Mostly for expensive and luxurious brands and outlets. And also is situated in one of elite location in the center of jakarta, where it sarrounded with mostly apartments and office complex.
People much rather visit malls that is "commoners friendly". Cheaper and nearby to where you reside.
Icic! Since it’s so accessible 🤔 Makes a lot of sense 😃
Seems like more and more people are wearing black all the time as of myself. Is there any meaning behind? For me is indication of minimalism. 😅😂
Lol no meaning for us. We just like black clothing 🖤🖤🖤
@ChovyTravel gotcha 👌
Chitato is delicious! 😋 will have to try instant noodles 🍜 also fried chicken in Indonesia 🇮🇩 is seriously SO GOOD!!!
@@ChovyTravel Chitato is like legendary Indonesian chip product, they keep inventing new tastes. Although Chiki is older but people got bored to it since no new notable invention since 40-50 years
Economy is kinda bad now, that's why most malls are empty 😢
😭😭
ah yes, modern jakarta, only for families who already rich to begin with.
Definitely makes sense. Absolutely gorgeous!
this aint street foot content its another side , yes?
Yes! It’s mainly focusing on the modernness of Jakarta, Indonesia.
Dutch east indies
Got it! Thank you! 🙏
Malaydesh🇲🇾 ❤ 🇧🇩🥰🥰🥰
Maybe Indonesia is not as hot as Thailand🤣🤣🤣. So people don't need mall's air c on 😅😅
Noooo lol 😝 it was few degrees cooler than Bangkok, but definitely need A/C 😅
What you just seen all just the infrastructure built by mulyono.. but you fail to notice most of us live very poor here.. most of us..
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We wanted to highlight the beauty and how modern Jakarta is in this video. Hope you understand. Thank you.
These vloggers think that Jakarta is backward city. hahahaha. pathetic.
Of course, Jakarta has those modern malls since 90s. They have these flyovers or jalan tol in 80s. CBD in Sudirman and Kuningan were already established in 90s.
It’s not what we thought but okay.
Awalnya saya ingin menonton, tiba² makan iga babi langsung ingin pergi. Maaf saya gak suka melihat apapun dari babi. Maaf
Icic! 😅
why the guy speaking like that?
Referring to me or someone else? I was born in the states so that’s why I speak like how I do 😅🤷🏻♂️

indo negara kepulauan yang besar & luas.. banyak tempat yang indah.. tapi kok kalah promosi dari thailand & malaysia.. tapi biar lah begitu karena kalau nanti indo jadi destinasi wisata nomer 1 malah semua nya jadi mahal..
🤷 I know Indonesia will definitely thrive in the very near future. That’s what we believe.
