I absolutely agree with you! I also think the whole Cora plot came out a bit out of nowhere. Maybe if we had seen more of her during the season it would have made more sense and felt less forced but to me it just felt like an easy way for the writers to explain the things that happened to Anna in early episodes
Yeah! If Cora was either in the flashback as someone connected to the past or appeared one episode before this, I could’ve been more invested.

It didn't exactly come out of nowhere. It was actually hinted in episode 2 when Anna called to talk to doctor Hill after she vomited and Cora asked if she had any update on her stalker. Anna was taken aback because she never mentioned it to Cora but then Cora said she told her when they spoke the day before. And we all dismissed it as one of Anna's loss of time.
I just hated the fact that this episode was too short
But it’s still one of my fav episode so much is happening I love it
And the Intro was amazing

I totally agree with the idea of Siobhan being Lilith, the first witch and Adams first wife. She was the mother of demons and birthed a 100 babies a day which the angels would kills because she didn't come back to the garden of Eden. Also some myths portray her as either killing or turning against her own children or harming and killing human babies. I think Kim is doing a great job playing this role.

I like the fact that they let us think Dex might be in on the satanic cult, might have a supernatural element to his villain Hood. But then he ended up being just a terrible abusive guy, which is still horrific and caused real damage to Anna. I like that while all these supernatural things were going on, there's still just plain old human evil as well that's just as scary. Of course we have to assume that satanism had some influence in the way his father raised him.
I kinda counted Dex out as anything really bad a while ago. He’s just truly a bad husband and horrible person, but he’s totally a pawn. Now his dad having connections to the witches is interesting
He was so creepy from the episode one he is just a creepy looking dude
I kept thinking he was gonna be a witch hunter like Cordelia's husband in season 2.
Next week is sadly the American Horror Story Delicate season 12 episode 9 finale.
I still think Dex and Anna are both witch spawn. This baby is going to be very "pure". That baby has some major claws and Anna carries the mark. I think the Rosemary's baby wasn't needed for the storyline except to serve as a parallel to Delicate. I also don't think Addy is dead, I think she's being kept elsewhere. I think Dex is seeking witchy women to complete his purpose, to procreate. He wants a baby quite badly. There was a comment that Anna thought she was "doing it all herself" as far as her success was concerned. She was predestined for all of what she is coming into as a birthright, I believe? I think it would be hilarious if Preecher was the mother of Dex, the timelines match up. Also...why is Preecher still alive? Is that part of her bargain?

I think when siobhan was asking anna if she would do anything to win and touches annas stomach she is basically telling anna without her knowing that she is taking her baby. I think the kiss sealed the deal.. she announced she won before they called it and that was her prize for her sacrifice
Why did Adeline specifically pursue Dex? Was it to have a baby by him in order to break the curse? She shouldve known the coven could find her easily if shes dating Dex & Im surprised the coven allowed her to make it so far in her relationship with Dex.
This season is a whole ass shit tornado, but I can't stop watching bc I'm so damn confused and must ride this storm out. Also, Kim acts as how I expect her to be in real life.

Omg, EJ… I literally went back for seconds from dinner and when I came back AHStories was already autoplaying!
So. I thought it was cool with the Rosemary Baby reference because I believe the book was written with that inspiration. Also is parallel to what Anna is going through.
I also thought and I know some people found it inconsiderate but, I thought showing Sharon Tate was perfect. I dont know about anyone else but when AHS first started all those years ago. Stories like the Tate murders were what I thought was going to be retold in this series. And we have had similar things with cult, with hotel, with 1984. Real murders, real events. Real American Horror Stories. I think adding the Tate reference in this season made sense. Because if I remember correctly she was pregnant when she sadly lost her life. And in context with the themes of this season it could be that she sadly died so Mia Farrow could be a star! In the same way Babette died. Again I am not saying in real life but in context. And it makes sense since Shiabon is the one who also made Babette die. So maybe she influenced those murders as well. Just my theory. Not trying to be disrespectful but I wonder if that is what the writers were implying here.
Also the whole Cora thing was insane!

Is it just me, or does the black cat get bigger before Anna kicks Dex out? I rewatched that scene, and it originally looks to be the size of a kitten! Also very disappointed with the runtime. Everything we got was so rushed.
I commented last week how this gives me rosemary baby vibes & what is the opening scene? Also I fact checked it and that is a true story the director really did have Mia walk in oncoming traffic for the movie !!!

I feel like I need to do a deep dive into Mia Farrow, Frank Sinatra, Roman Polanski, & Sharon Tate after the intro lol
Overall, I did enjoy this episode. I really want to learn more about Preecher & Dex's dad connection with the witches (like how deeply involved in it is he). The whole Cora & Dex affair was a twist. After last week's episode, I thought he was kind of innocence. I'm not sure if it was because of the mid-season break, but I forgot all about Cora & I could see how this plot twist felt a little "thrown" in
W/ Anna, I don't think she fully understands that she just sacrificed her child. She has not been in the right state of mind since the beginning. I don't the she has grasp the severity of what she just did

It was horrible, how they put Sharon in there and I don't know if they were playing into rumours about her or if she was meant to be protecting Mia. I also wonder what Mia Farrow actually would think of this

This episode was so short but I LOVED it so much. The plot twist was so good and explained so much. There was nothing wrong with this episode it was just too short. I think they took the other half of this episode and put it into ep 9 to make it one big long crazy finale 😭 (hopefully)

I think Dex is a hybrid and in the last episode, it was clear Siobhan was the one with his Dad, i guess to make "creatures" but now she wont need him because she'll have Anna's baby, I think its a way for her to take the control from Dex's Dad being the purest possible, i still dont understand how they knew when Anna was a baby that she would be the one to carry the purest
It didnt make any sense this blond lady would do the stalking. It came out of nowhere . I also needed a second to remember who Cora is.

Another great episode this week, although it could have been longer, and i also thought that there was no need for the Cora Dex stuff. The story was progressing nicely imo.

Does anyone remember Collette's reaction when Sonia walked into the Hamptons house? She looked fearful, surprised, & annoyed by Sonia's arrival. If she & Sonia have been recently plotting together, i dont understand Collette's reaction. Was her reaction suppose to serve as a red herring by making the audience think they arent on the same side even though they were?
Does anyone remember Dex's facial reaction when Anna told him she was pregnant after having miscarriage? He looked disappointed.

If the coven wants women to have babies, why do they stress out the pregnant women which increases chances of miscarriages etc?
Sometimes I feel bad for Anna but then she does something that makes me feel like she deserves bad karma. She's not consistent.
This episode felt like it was written and directed by someone else.
THAT was supposed to be Frank Sinatra? Everyone in that segment was beyond awful and boring. But of course Siobhan also wrote Rosemary’s Baby!
I just have to say though, Kim looked fabulous!
I’m a bit disappointed because I thought since it was based on a book it would be wrapped up a bit better. My worry now is that we will have a bunch of questions still left over. I’m very curious as to if Siobhan has the power to make people “stars” why would she draw all this crazy negative attention to Anna. Wouldn’t she be more conspicuous. Also I have a bad feeling like we will never truly get answers to the devil witch coven or whatever they are and their main purpose. Idk hope for the best but I think expect the worst

So big question for me this season ... where is the Coven from Coven and Apocalypse in all this? I have to wonder if this is setting up a Season 13 showdown finale season between two covens for the fate of the world. I would like to think Cordelia would take notice of this or Mallory if she has become Supreme and stop this dark Coven that feasts on the blood of unborn children.

This entire season feels like it’s catering to Kim kardashian and we needed a stronger actor to lead this satanic coven. Floptina, Death Valley 2: Electric Boogaloo, can’t wait to be disappointed next week.

Rewatch Roanoke! I don't think it was super popular at the time, but it's definitely my fave season

We all have our own personal tastes. I didn’t hate this one but felt a little letdown with them not adding a little extra within the sorry. The opener really took me out I think

yeah the whole Cora plot was like intended as like a bit reveal but it really did fall flat i wasnt even that interested in it because i was like whos she? haha and yeah this episode felt so rushed and i just hope they dont rush the finale because this could still end as one of the best seasons imo
Yeah that being the reveal kinda backs the season feeling less horror at times and more melodrama. Which I don’t mind but not this late in the game.
Very rushed but it’s odd cause I truly don’t hate what’s happening, I just think it could be a little better
@@EJMoreno omg did you also notice the little easter egg in this episode!? the book delicate condition was openly inspired by rosemarys baby, if you look at the scene when siobhan was in the 60s she was holding the book! indicating that anna's movie wasnt her first movie idea! I loved this!!

This season has been way too slow for me. I feel like this episode could have covered a lot more ground. The first part of the season really dragged for me and I was hoping that it would pick up and in a way it did, but I felt like Anna hasn't progressed as a character. I also just feel like not enough questions have been answered with only one episode left.

Rosemary’s Baby was already heavilynimplied, so not sure why the Mia bit was needed. Wanted more drama from the confrontation regarding the affair with the whoever she was chic. After last episode, this one was not as meaty ramping up to a finale. And lord, the way Anna drops everything at the mere mention of Oscar like a cat following a red dot…
Right! It all felt so heavy handed. But they did wanna show Siobhan has been in Hollywood for a while
@@EJMoreno was it necessary? We know she has ties and power in Hollywood. I’d rather gotten more info on Anna’s mom popping up, Dex’s affair aftermath, reasoning, and why he is involved in this. Her Hollywood history didn’t add to anything unless I missed that Mia was drawn into the plan as well.

JJ seems like you arnt liking it? To me all the ambiguity is part of the suspense. I feel like it’s telling a good story it’s just a bit slower and poetic. I lie how the season has its on distinct style.
I like it, I’m frustrated that there’s not more to the story and we are detouring this late. Slower and poetic is what I loved about the first half, but something about the pacing feels off

The Rosemary’s Baby bit was fabulous-parallel storyline, gaslighting, Tate murders foreshadowing (hmmmmm….perhaps foreshadowing finale?} reprising the “women can’t have it all but men can” fight…dialing up the evil if you follow the alleged curse of the movie over the years. Felt like it was much more than exposition of Siobhan’s ancient-ness, which we all knew was coming anyway. Cora’s exposition-way too long & boring. Looking forward to next week to be the judge, jury and executioner, if needed…
This episode was horrible, they should just chuck the whole season down the drain. Why show stuff in the trailer that never comes up in the show?? It was so short! Wtf?!?

I agree I wanted to celebrate getting rid of Dex, for example, but the pacing is kind of 'off.' This is typical with AHS thou, they always do this, they start strong then the editing starts to kind of waver by the 2nd part. Not surprised at all.

That Cora storyline was disapointing and anticlimatic, I wish she was like a witch or even a simple human trying to tell Anna thé truth, even her being the stalker is okay but we should have got that sooner. I love this season and the lore, I hope this finale will feel good

I can’t lie, I stopped watching ahs after Jessica Lange left and am just starting to get back into the show. It’s just not the same without Lange, but I don’t hate this season. I’m impressed with kardashian’s performance and intrigued by her character. Im wondering if there’s two covens of witches, one being Siobhan and the two Ashelys and the second group being the defection group (Ivy, the weird artist, the former chef that betrayed her friend for money, and the one with the short hair).
This episode also reminded me something: where the hell is oz? What happened to the cute little golden retriever????
