With how corrupt the super rich have gotten and many media empires getting too greedy (Disney being a particularly bad offender), I feel it’s time a lot of these monopolies got broken up! Imagine if regional ITV came back? It could happen if upon taking on the super rich, we broke up ITV PLC in the process! The bigger they come, the harder they fall!
Where was Reigate, a major relay station on that list of transmitters? Many others missing too. I think long before this time ITV stopped listing transmitters as there were far, far, too many to list.
Deliberately retro, but re-created authentically for the final day on-air (but in wide-screen, which is a bit of a give-away) by some very committed individuals.
@festivitycat No one was still doing startups like that in 1988! The last full length startup with blue slides in use was Anglia's which still went by about 1985. The Transmitters in service slide is more early 70s although the main branding used is the late 70s logo. It's not an entirely accurate recreation (mainly working around not being able to mention the IBA) but it was done with love!
Probably the greatest start up music of all the ITV regions.
Greatest itv company ,impressive studio complex now being knocked down so so sad as a Londoner I was proud of our LWT class now Sadly gone for ever 😢
Saddest day in history of tv end of regional ITV

Might have been a one-off to mark the last hurrah for LWT?

2023. Now the studios and Kent House are now being demolished.
