    You made me discover that Amano actually did a tarot deck, and I cannot thank you enough for that! I'd been searching for a second tarot deck for almost 4 years (my only one was the Aquarian Tarot). I spent so many hours browsing through different decks, i'm so picky that not a single one ever catched my attention. My jaw dropped when I discovered your channel. Amano is one of my favorite artists, and my computer's desktop background has been one of his works for years. I LOVE it. So many details that makes this deck almost perfect imo, like the back of the card being pitch black but reflective, kind of like a "shadow mirror". I love how he portrayed the court cards, and it's really in tune with how I interpret tarot. For example, the suit of wands represent intuitive and passionate individuals, but I hate how they're always interpreted as highly extroverted individuals. To me, the wands court cards are the "visionary excentrics", and the King of Wands and Queen of Wands in this deck represent introverted intuitive and passionate type of people so well.
    Thank you sooooo much for the great content as well!!!

      So glad you found this deck that resonates so deeply! And I love the Wands as "visionary eccentrics". Amazing description. 🔥

    The spread order in combination with the directionality of specific cards really clicked for me. Thank you

    I bought this same Yoshitaka Amano deck years and years ago without knowing anything about tarot, I just wanted the art. I have since been guided by someone dear to me back towards tarot and I didn't realize how much I needed to learn about the traditional meanings before I could use this deck.
    But I know in my soul that this is the deck for me. This video inspired me to understand my deck better and is encouraging me to learn the traditional meanings AS WELL as the numerology so that I am prepared to treat my deck with the right understanding. Thank you!

    This was so useful! I've stayed away from pip decks because I thought it would just be too hard to learn how to read them and they always seemed a bit boring. After this I feel differently though as it can be much more intuitive than I thought and now I see them totally differently! Looking at the patterns is so interesting and gives deep insights. Thank you 😁 Maybe I need a pip deck now...after depth year...😊😊😊

    I really enjoyed your take on pip cards. I don't really have any decks with pip cards as it's not a style I have been drawn to but you have made me look at the idea in a different way. I think the way you read pip cards is similar to how I am working with the wooden tarot deck. It does have illustrations yet some are so simple and yet I am loving working with them so maybe it's time to consider a pip deck. TFS 💜

      Yeah, I think I wouldn't buy a lot more pip decks - it needs to be very well done for me to take interest! The Wooden Tarot deck looks stunning.

    I enjoyed and appreciated this video very muc...after revisting it again after about 3 months or so ago..which was during time I have spent for some time now trying to learn how to read Tarot...increasing wanting to move away from RiderWaite type decks to work with those that have pips..and is only a week or so ago that I finally felt comfortable about how 'I could read them' which aligns with your idea of reading how pips are positioned on the cards..working with own ideas..as well as working with the idea of Degrees which each numbered pip card is said to signify by other people..

    This was so helpful. I have learned with the RWS deck and recently purchased a set of PIP cards, the elemental power deck, and I was so confused!!! I didn't know if i should attribute the RWS definitions automatically, etc.. you were really helpful, thanks!

    I have to admit that I went with the translation method all the time 🙈 But your method is awesome and I’m off now to look at my pip decks with a fresh perspective! 👀 I’ll let you know if I learned something new. 😉

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  5 лет назад

      Yeah, no shame in that! Going with the classical meanings is what comes naturally a lot of the time and I still sometimes do it when I'm hurrying a bit. :) I hope this other method can give you some new perspectives! ✨

    I honestly only have read cards with illustrations because i didnt feel like i can use intuition in the ones without illustratiosn but with this i think i can give them a try (: it would be interesting if you could make a video on how to read reversed cards! i honestly dont know that to do with them, i have read a lot of theories of what they mean but cant put it together on a reading lol

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  5 лет назад +2

      Glad you feel equipped to tackle unillustrated cards now! :) I don't read reversals myself - none of the theories on how you can reas them (suppressed energies, subconscious information, warnings etc.) really appeals to me at all. I rely on my intuition to tell me what a card means. So if I think the cautionary meaning of the card is more important in a spread, I will read it that way - whether it's reversed or not! But maybe I will make a video about the different theories on how to read reversals in the future. :)

    I chickened out of pip cards, I don't buy pip decks because I just feel I need the visual to read. This was a really interesting video though, it definitely made me consider giving pips another chance.

  • @mabajaki5555
    @mabajaki5555 5 лет назад +1

    Thank you very much for this great video. I'm reading RWS long time, so I'm planning to move away from it and read from Marseille tarot based decks only. I bought 'The classic tarot' and 'Universal tarot of Marseille' already and I'm planning to buy 'Golden tarot of Marseille' and 'Golden Visconti' in near future. I'll read pips on way 'number + suit' at first, till my intuition rise...and then I'll probably find some other and another way. 😃

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  5 лет назад

      Ooh, good luck exploring those other kinds of decks! :) I hope it brings you many insights.

    • @mabajaki5555
      @mabajaki5555 5 лет назад

      @@AnyaEsma me too. Yes, RWS based decks are really limitated, there aren't many place for own intuition and own stories...so I want to try something totally different. While I'm waiting my first Marseille tarot based decks, I'm practising on my RWS decks on way that I'm just looking pictures, symbols, numbers, suits, where are kings or queens looking, where are they going and so on and I'm making stories based on that only, I'm trying to forget everything about meanings of each card (in classic tarot way). I'm looking on them like they're pips already. 😂

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  5 лет назад

      @@mabajaki5555 That's awesome! Yeah, I feel like there is a lot of potential for stories in the normal RWS cards when we look at colors, symbols, body positions, number of people etc.

    How do you read reversed because sometimes you can’t tell, or should you just rely on intuition then?

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  4 года назад +1

      I don't usually read with reversed cards. There are many ways to read them - as obstructed energy that needs to be strengthened, as the opposite of the normal meaning etc.! It's a huge topic, but generally it's a mix of knowledge and intuition and deciding what reversals mean to you personally.

    • @T3tjamie
      @T3tjamie 4 года назад

      @@AnyaEsma yeah... I usually read with pip cards I never got a deck with illustrations. I do tend to read reversals especially with the majors and courts, but some pip cards is kinda hard to differentiate wether it’s reversed. Like 4 of pentacles so I end up feeling the energy and let my intuition guide to which meaning is the correct one.
      But I just wanted to see if you do include reversed meanings as well!

  • @Buraion

    Do you read reversals with pips?

    • @AnyaEsma
      @AnyaEsma  4 года назад

      I generally don't read reversals. I rely on knowing the meaning intuitively without needing the cards to signal it by being upright or reversed.
