here's the thing: they get mad because they think people say they all look the same and look like this model, and the average/typical Chinese don't like how the model looks, additionally they don't think this face is even close to representative of the average ppl's look in China, so they think it's an intentional uglification. got it? it doesn't matter how pretty YOU think this model is. don't use the western beauty standard when you view this issue
@@cigxhang486 That's because there are like 52 different tribes in China, not everyone will be the same. She's a model, so someone thinks she looks nice. I don't really care what Chinese think, if they don't like something, that's not my problem.
My ex in China was so insanely harsh… “She’s so ugly!” “That man looks like an ogre.” Blah blah blah. And then there was her HATRED of the Japanese! It made me sick. In the end I couldn’t stand her.
It’s so discouraging. I’m married to a Chinese lady. She is relentless, with her distaste, for people of colour. It’s completely ignorant, and ingrained. Yet she is proud to be with a white guy. I’m feeling like you, just about done with it.
I separated from my Chinese wife of 6 years. I can't tolerate her irrational behavior any longer. It's like living with a family member with a severe mental disease.
She doesnt look like what most chinese would refer to themselves as, so I can understand that the moderated part of China's Internet is being so petty. They are almost always petty, cause they cant talk about their real issues.
She has shockingly attractive features... A type of fierceness that is incredibly rare and desirable... Grace Jones is a really good comparison. The Chinese are trying *WAY* too hard to look European. Well, China... You're never going to be European, and your attempts are cringey. How is China ever going to realize any true sense of nationalism when it hates itself?! That model is *so* much more attractive than those fake chinadolls. She's compelling... She's interesting. You know what's not interesting? Chinese girls so insecure that they get double eyelid surgery.... Persian women who get nose jobs to hide their dramatic, regal noses.... Dark skinned black people who feel insecure about their striking skin. Stuff like that makes me so sad. Fashion, style, elegance... Are all about shaking what the Gods gave you. Bless this model for doing her thing and defending herself. She's not ugly... But the Chinese sentiment around their own aesthetics is hideous.
@@MrPlazmaWalker .....she's very attractive in an exotic way. She isn't your Christie Brinkley or Tyra Banks type of model . Those girls made it on the American stage, but they just didn't have what it takes for the international runways. Grace Jones did.

I fight this battle with my wife constantly. People from her home country have this same idea, but I have to remind her that I fell in love with HER face, not some lab created western face.
For anybody who was as curious as I was about the “washing dog” thing…. Here, “洗地狗” (xǐ dì gǒu), literally translating to “floor-washing dog,” is a slang term. In the context of Chinese internet slang, “洗地” (xǐ dì) means to fervently defend someone or something, often regardless of whether the defense is reasonable or the subject is inherently flawed. The term suggests a blind or unreasonable defense of a person, company, or product. Adding “狗” (gǒu), which means “dog,” is a derogatory way to refer to someone who performs this action. It implies that the person is doing it doggedly and without self-respect, possibly for personal gain, such as money.
I really feel for her. It just shows what kind of toxic environment the hyper-nationalism constantly being drummed up by the CCP creates. She is a beautiful woman, and if she lived in any western country there would be no question that her looks meet the standard for modeling.
Is it nationalism to be disgusted by your own people's (nation) appearance and idealise foreigner characteristics? I wouldn't say so, it's not hyper-nationalism, it's pseudo-nationalism.
For the rest of the world she has exotic beauty. For chinese, she is considered average or below average beauty. Chinese worship beauty standart such as Fan Bingbing, Zhao Liyin, etc.
My Chinese mother has told me to get eyelid surgery to "fix" my monolids my whole life. I rock them loud and proud! I dated a guy of Tatar descent and was specifically attracted to his Asian eyes.
I was wondering why it was so bad to have people of color play races that are not human, and then this ignorant comment really explained it to me. She looks human, not some alien
Exposing what? That she is considered ugly and abnormal looking and like how westerners think chinese in general look like? In east asia she is considered hideous

I think she is gorgeous. In addition to that, It has always made me rage when so many people in China, Korea, or Japan say that the bigger eye double eyelid look is more beautiful. Or that bigger noses are more beautiful. Or that layers and layers of makup until the face is white is more beautiful. I always disagree with them.
A girl in China asked me why I chose my wife (who has single eyelids, round face, just checks all the wrong boxes in China). "This girl is not beautiful," she said. I was shocked. "The girl I chose is a thousand times more beautiful than you," I wanted to say. "You who wears those little things on the eyelids to make them look double, who is plastered in white makeup, who wallows in vanity. The girl I chose is modest, loves to laugh, and has a good heart. And that's what affects her outward beauty."
Internal standards of beauty, in fact, each species are similar, tall handsome harmony had better have white skin, high nose bridge, double-fold eyelid, if possible, black also want their skin to become shallow, the girl to cater to the white for disparate ethnic Chinese imagination, exaggerated the ethnic characteristics, in fact is not all white is very beautiful, not all Chinese are folds. She doesn't fit the internal Chinese aesthetic.
I am so bemused by the response of China. I found the model beautiful. I hope she is ok. It's sad that Asian beauty standards have become so exported that they think this models features are an insult to them.
Yea - Its like rejecting their own ethnic traits ; its very odd . Imagine being a black man in africa who gets hated on because he looks very african! its crazy ; even if these are stereotypical "looks" - That doesn't make them bad and is just proving that they hate their own look ; They are perpetuating the stereotype themselves ironically by keeping it in their minds of what they are not "supposed" to look like

The model is literally stunning. I can't fathom how anyone could say these kinds of things. By the way, since when does one model represent a whole country?? So stupid.
Maybe the expectation toward a model to represent a country is actually a thing in China. Although it sounds otherworldly to us, these bullies seem to believe in it.
Maybe western model agency’s should pick up these Chinese models who get backlash. I can see any of them fitting perfectly in a major magazine/commercial.

Disgusting that she wasn’t backed up by the company who hired her. They need to apologise to her for their response! So many things wrong here.

Beauty standards are ridiculous, moral standards are more beneficial to humanity, and cannot be enforced by governments, I don't think they would currently work in China. Its a process that takes millennia.
I can’t imagine being told that I am too ugly to be a member of my race. I know I am proud to be ethnically Chinese, and it is even better that “my people” admire my features. I can’t imagine confronting the rejection of how I look, especially as an adoptee who was raised isolated from Asian influences. I feel for this girl. The system that benefits me is the same that bludgeons her. I am so guilty, yet I don’t know what to do to make the system better. Edit: The most frequent response I see to my original comment questions my reasoning or ability to be proud of being ethnically Chinese. Instead of replying to each one, I am going to edit my original comment and hope those same people see it. First of all, thanks for caring so much to leave a comment. I have been raised in a rural community alongside peers of German descent. My community is less than 1% Asian. When I say I am proud to be Chinese, I mean that I am proud to look the way I do, which is something I have had to grow into. Appearance is something that people judge when they first see you. I feel that people see me as “other” and/or “too pretty” to befriend. This loneliness has worn me down, but I also have dug my heels in and chosen to be proud of how I look, and to respect the roots my ancestors gave me. After rereading my comment, I find that I don’t agree with my use of “ethnicity” to describe my state of being Chinese, since ethnicity refers to a culture rather than race. What I meant was that I am proud of my differences in my community of mostly white peers. This mindset has been extremely difficult for an adoptee like myself to possess, since my core desire is to belong. It may be that other circumstances also result in that same core desire, but I am not sure. My beauty arouses ambiguous feelings. On the one hand, I think it is a wonderful thing because “my people” adore me when they see me, even if we’ve never met. This satisfies the “orphan child” within me, which craves acceptance. On the other hand, I think that the social impact of beauty throughout the world is large, but its actual importance is relatively small. I am certain I am not the only person who thinks this. Someone said that I am virtue signaling, and I had to look up what that means. After giving it some thought, I don’t agree, because as I understand it, virtue signaling is a way of getting external recognition for being a morally upright person. I usually don’t write serious comments on RUclips, and the only reason I chose to do so is to see other people’s opinions on this issue, and perhaps gain some insight into how I can be a beautiful person who doesn’t contribute to this particular problem. I thank everyone who was able to see that in my original comment and responded accordingly.
Wow. You packed a lot in there. These are merely vocal netizens who may or may not be consumers of the product she was modeling for. Because of beauty influencers & filter lies, I think many wish for makeup to be transformative & not just hide blemishes. This model represented a real look that some are rejecting to look like someone unlike themselves. They are just going through the beauty "growing pains" the rest of the world has gone through. At least our children carry our phenotype.
You can't make the "system" better, because humanity isn't a "system". That's a dangerous misunderstanding that leads people to arrogantly assume that some of us can make others better. You can try to show people a better way, and hope you can convince some of them. But there's no "system" of mass opinion. Systems may arise _on top of_ these situations, created by canny people for profit or power, but in and of itself, the temperment and reaction of a crowd is not a "system".
Many cultures and races do the same thing, value lighter skin people, skin lighting products are sold everywhere except in Europe where tans are seen as being more attractive. I don’t think we should be blaming Europeans for other peoples racism.
Every time I see your video, I am shocked back into reality. Your clarity and ability to express yourself is refreshing. ALWAYS! Thank you for being YOU, Winston!
yes, although that's the thing they have an issue with. it is true that in the western agencies, you never see a short / adorable, big-eyed chinese girl. instead, it's always the lucy liu type because for westerners, that's considered more chinese. i think that might be what they made a big deal of here. it's unnecessary, the model is clearly really lovely looking, not my type but very pretty.
@@iaw11 I know you're being sarcastic but people really think like that. People on the far left probably. It's purley childish, because with that logic all of the things you're attracted to would be labeled as a fetish.
I agree with the fact that Chinese ppl have a beauty standard, but looking at the Chinese comments as someone who reads the language, they were mostly talking about how in her video she made the slant eyes pose. THAT was why ppl hated her bc they thought she was trying to portray Chinese ppl in the stereotypical way. It was never about her being "ugly" to start with. I think she's absolutely gorgeous.
This is just so sad and cruel that someone would do something so cruel to a young woman. Discrimination of any type is so small minded. As an American, if I see a Chinese model in a Dior ad, I think wow how lucky is that person. They are distinct enough in a large population to stand out. I hope you and the family are doing ok Serpent ZA.😊😊😊
It is shocking how ruthless these people seem to be. Of course it's difficult to glean much from such a great distance, but I have the impression that this type of cruelty is generally socially accepted in that part of the world.
She’s so incredibly gorgeous that I can’t even understand how they think she’s ugly, even with beauty standards that don’t mesh with her type of appearance.
My mother was a model, it is a tough gig being picked apart by photographers, agencies, etc and the public as well. It's likely why she didn't do it long. This is not just China, but interesting how these things manifest with Chinese culture. btw..The lady is cuter in the untouched moments than the overused photoshop used by the photographer.
It's almost as if all the worst but most commonly negative societal traits worldwide are seemingly manifest and encouraged under some twisted civil engineers.
Imagine being told you are giving your country a bad name because you are so ugly - that’s devastating. I feel so sorry for her because she is a natural beauty and nobody deserves to be treated like that anyway.
I love your videos Winston! You always present your topics with true empathy, and provide us with a depth of understanding that many others fail to capture with this intricate & extremely complex culture. I truly appreciate the humanity and dignity you bring to even the most difficult to comprehend cultural differences of these puzzling, yet ultimately fascinating people. I highly think she is beautiful! I hope you get over this ridiculous issues and people soon. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from doing what you love and enjoy. Good luck! You got this!
It's kinda true and sad that people in Asia don't like their own natural appearance hence why everyone goes under the knife. What's even more sad is after all the surgery everyone just ends up looking the same.
I can't tell you how much the Chinese government and their policies/views worry me. It's to the point where I see their government as a threat to the world at large, one that isn't being faced up to. People are reluctant to compare nations/people to Nazi's but if look at it objectively, extreme patriotism revolving around the idea that their race/culture is the superior one, systematic discrimination, separation & indoctrination of a smaller religious/ethnic minority (the Uighur Muslims), political claims to lands along their borders (Taiwan, Tibet) backed by military posturing, moves to stamp out any form of opposition (Hong Kong Laws), general antagonism towards foreign nations (Japan, America, Australia, etc), and Hero worship of their leader... Those are some pretty scary similarities that are absolutely undeniable.
She is actually attractive but the photos/editing in that ad made her look very odd. Anyway, regardless of how she looked in the photos, no one should be subjected to this treatment just for doing their (harmless) job. The people harshly criticising her must live very sad lives.
I remember in China working with some very beautiful (when wearing only basic work make up or occasionally no make up) young women who would whiten their skins and sometimes almost make themselves look like children to conform to these standards. It made me feel sad, but also happy that we have made genuine progress on this sort of thing in the west. Yes, I know we have a long, long way to go, but we've made genuine progress. Then I returned home and saw my teenage niece using the same filters I had seen used in China to sustematcally alter her appearance in certain ways for selfies and I wonder if we're not now regressing in the west back in the direcion of what's being described in this video.
Here girls pretend to be of a different (than white) colour. Remember Warren? She alleged to be a pocahontas or something? Well....why do you need to look to the east when we have exact the same bs going on here?
I like the background "slice of life / street view". I think it more likely that the people in the street view are what Chinese people actually look like - Not supermodel types that the Chinese think that should be the standard. Too many people sticking their noses in other People's business....
as a chinese fashion model myself, cai niangniang is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. she has massive potential for be the face for big brand campaigns. i hope she is still a model today and if she is i hope she is super successful. i myself have some "unique" features that traditional chinese people may find ugly. she inspires me so much to be proud of my features and embrace my individuality. thank you for talking about this!
For those who don't know Chinese, the "washing dog" which was referring to is the phrase 洗地狗 I've never heard of this phase since I'm Korean Cantonese and I don't know much about Mandarin slang, but 洗地 is reffering to "washing the floor" and dog would be referring to a person in poverty(it's like what you would call a bitch in English but in a more filthy and degrading way). People in the poorer areas are thought to have tanner skin, a wide square face and monolids as a stereotype among Chinese(the unconventionally attractive features amongst East Asians), so 洗地狗 would be reffering to a person(slave like I guess) who washes the floors(not exclusive to floors tho, think of the jobs slaves did like hard labour) I belive 洗地狗 would be used in a situation where a person would be called a "good for nothing" and is an extremely degratory term(sounds harsh) and implies a person should be sweeping the streets for a living(This is a cultural reference so it's alright if you don't understand the context here) Another thing I wanted to point out is that no, the Chinese(or East Asians in general) do not want to look western. A beauty standard is a beauty standard, and although idk where it originated from, wanting pale skin and big eyes aren't to look western. East Asians want pale skin because of status, and existed even before any Western influence came into any of the countries. However, big eyes are mainly wanted because it is considered "attractive" and honestly I have to agree, although having big eyes does not make you pretty, and you do not need big eyes to be pretty. East asians also want a sharper nose because it genuinely looks attractive to the majority of us(and looking at the rest of the beauty standards excluding weight, it seems to be the case as well) I hope this clears everything up :)
I agree to the first 1/2 of your statement. The second 1/2, not so much. Ask any Caucasian who has travelled to China how they were treated. I have a friend who is considered a 4 maybe 5/10 here. He loves in Asia for 2 years and was treated like a Demi-god. There he was a 10/0 all because he is white with light hair and blue eyes.
@@PrissyLadyVenom They're treated like gods, but I don't think the Asian beauty standards are moulded after them. It's mostly the older generation(50-70yr old ladies) that are extremely obvious and I had a Russian boyfriend who I was with in China a few years back and he was grabbed and touched by these people. I don't think it's good to generalise something like this but if you look at idols like Jang Wonyoung, Bae Suzy or Kim Jennie they don't look European, yet are considered the standard or extremely beautiful. People who want double eyelids, slim noses and pale skin don't necessarily want to look European.
my girlfriend constantly talks herself down in every way. The destruction of her self confidence is what I dislike about China the most. A beautiful culture being twisted by a terrible government.
That reminds me of three things: 1) South Korean obsession with plastic surgery which ESPECIALLY concerns 'widening the eyes' to have a stereotypically White look 2) Kpop industry usually don't hire a black because they think ALL Black are ugly 3) Japanese model with those types of eyes are usually having a hard time to be hired in Japan because they're not 'kawaii' and 'TOO ASIATIC'.
She’s not even ugly omg! These people are so rude. Nothing wrong with having slanted eyes they’re so unique. And full lips here in the west is the beauty standard. Although small lips are cute too. There’s different looks for beauty 🥰💕
She's not at all ugly, but some of the ads she's in had her in some rather slatternly poses. I don't know exactly how puritanical Chinese culture is at present, but I have to wonder if that might factor in to the situation.
@@DrMackSplackem i have not seen those photos so it could be true however that doesn’t mean people should go after someone’s natural/biological appearance like in this example when netizens ridiculed her about her eyes and lips. I think that is uncalled for.

Companies advertising in China should use Chinese opera characters. Their makeup traditionally makes their eyes appear more slanted. Some performers even use cosmetic tape to pin their eyes into a more slanted position. Since Chinese opera is one of their time honored art forms, they should have little reason to argue against it.

As much as I like watching Chinese Drama series (partly in order to learn Chinese and partly because some of them are well made), it does get old seeing the main characters almost invariably portrayed by photogenic actors who are tall, thin and pale with wide eyes and high nose bridges etc. (sometimes it's like battle of the nose bridges).

Well that might not be to easy. Do you think they will just let her leave the country. The communist party wil threaten her to keep her mouth shut, after all she does have a family in China. It's all about saving face. I grew up when the Berlin Wall was a thing. Those communist had a more brutal way of keeping people in, at the end of a machine gun barrel. Just because a lot (or even most) of people find something beautiful doesn't mean it's now "objectively" beautiful. Beauty is a subjective concept that transcends humanity.
This is the best thing that happened to her modeling career. Now she is known internationally with articles and photos - look her up. So the orchestrated effort backfired big time. More power to her! (btw: super hot, obviously)

For those who don't know Chinese, the "washing dog" which was referring to is the phrase 洗地狗
I've never heard of this phase since I'm Korean Cantonese and I don't know much about Mandarin slang, but 洗地 is reffering to "washing the floor" and dog would be referring to a person in poverty(it's like what you would call a bitch in English but in a more filthy and degrading way). People in the poorer areas are thought to have tanner skin, a wide square face and monolids as a stereotype among Chinese(the unconventionally attractive features amongst East Asians), so 洗地狗 would be reffering to a person(slave like I guess) who washes the floors(not exclusive to floors tho, think of the jobs slaves did like hard labour)
I belive 洗地狗 would be used in a situation where a person would be called a "good for nothing" and is an extremely degratory term(sounds harsh) and implies a person should be sweeping the streets for a living(This is a cultural reference so it's alright if you don't understand the context here)
Another thing I wanted to point out is that no, the Chinese(or East Asians in general) do not want to look western.

Even if the person is not your type that’s not their problem or their fault. And of course people can have their own opinions on what is beautiful but people should also learn some manners. I would not bombard a male model’s Instagram that I don’t find very attractive with comments telling them they are ugly. It’s just common manners I suppose. Some people are raised with them others are not.
'Her eyes are too small and slanted'
Um.. every Chinese person.. I have some very bad news for you about the shape of your eyes.
This has to be some type of joke. No way they're serious. OK it's official there's no pleasing these people!
They are not people, they are a gov agency regenting propaganda, foreign influence and image. They are the CCP, they are a machine with an agenda.
The funny thing is, for many westerners like myself, those eyes are gorgeous.
I work in a British animation company. We were tasked by a Chinese company to design, 3D model and render images of some Chinese characters. For each character we were given a brief - like a sporty lady, an intelligible man etc. etc.
When we sent them the image renders they came back complaining that they all had so-called “slit” eyes or words to that effect. They wanted all the Chinese characters to have western looking eyes.
We were stunned and could never understand why
@isyt...It's easy to understand '' Chinese and Asian self-hate'' many people in Oriental Asia have low self-esteem and look down on so-called ''Mongloid features'' seen in Asian people.
@@dylandylantoriyama5370 What do you mean by “mongoloid”? We use (or used to use before it became politically incorrect many years ago) to mean people with Downs Syndrome
@@isyt1 Mongloid was and is a term used to refer to people from the Orient/East South east Asia. (China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia etc.
@UCB-PP-Xhbv2jJyk3esAf5PA thanks and I appreciate that.
Not actually heard anyone use it derogatory here in Britain for a good 20+ years
I live in Thailand and I find Asian women beautiful. The eyes are beautiful and their personalities are beautiful. In Thailand we have a lot of Chinese people and I like that. The ones I don't like are the Chinese coming to Thailand on holiday and thinking they are better than anyone else. I find them to be most rude. This lady doesn't have to bow her head to anyone she is beautiful.
Companies advertising in China should use Chinese opera characters. Their makeup traditionally makes their eyes appear more slanted. Some performers even use cosmetic tape to pin their eyes into a more slanted position. Since Chinese opera is one of their time honored art forms, they should have little reason to argue against it.
she could be makig millions in Europe
Pandering to Western aesthetics in an advertisement that will only be seen in China... MAKES SENSE
But Chinese have thin eyes, so how does that make any sense?
This is so sad. This model is so beautiful, it’s so sad, the netizens have destroyed her career and her life . To be told that who you are makes your country look bad, I can’t imagine.
It truly is baffling that this BEAUTIFUL WOMAN can get all this backslash. Just WOW China....WOW.
Chinese dudes: “shes so ugly!”
Those same dudes: (👁👄👁)
They think she makes them look like villains? Their comments show that they indeed are.
The girl is beautiful, I think most Chinese girls look like that, those who look western have had plastic surgery to look like that.
That model is absolutely gorgeous!!! I do not know what is wrong with some people. Great Video!
So disgusting and shocking Chinas treatment of this model. She is STUNNING and a healthy representation of the people of China.
Good job as always.
I think they need to look in the mirror
As much as I like watching Chinese Drama series (partly in order to learn Chinese and partly because some of them are well made), it does get old seeing the main characters almost invariably portrayed by photogenic actors who are tall, thin and pale with wide eyes and high nose bridges etc. (sometimes it's like battle of the nose bridges).
I notice that in S Korean sajeuk dramas more actors have natural eyes. I like that. It makes the period dramas seem more authentic.
... or A Bridge Too Far
"battle of the nose bridges" I'm dead 🤣
Honestly, I love her eyes, she looks like she has attitude and that's much more appealing to me.
well, is they don't want a beautiful woman like her to be Chinese. Then she can come live in my country, where beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and not subjected and ridiculed on basis of some other peoples lower self esteem.
Sigh. Just sign her up with an overseas modelling agency. She looks great, and I hope she will never feel pressure to undergo surgery. Stay as you are!
1000% agree!!
The bastards that went after her online will never ever quit. No company in China is going to use her in a photo shoot. Basically she not a model any more. How's it going for that tennis player?
Yep, there are already models similar to her that are featured a lot, and she has a really interesting look. Agencies would be fighting over her haha
Double eyelid surgery is extremely popular in China so she will probably end up getting it at some point.
They'll attack her even more over it, I just hope she can continue to work, this sort of cancellation could be game over for her.
They’re literally saying her face is too “stereotypically Chinese” and they’re offended by it.. poor girl, I hope she makes it through this ordeal..
1) She's a model. 2) People buy makeup or any product for the illusion that it will transform them or make their life better. This is not a study in sociology but a study in marketing. To many of these potential consumers she looked too "before" & not "after". They rule that market.
@@tayfan2 this IS a study in sociology, of gender (unreasonable expectation of beauty on women) and internalised self-loathing of the "Other" within the same race. Imagine attacking a model for a snacking advert in 2019 just because she looks stereotypically Chinese. What does her looks have to do with the snacks? Also, it is now 2021. The mob is just looking for an outlet to (dis)place their anger upon or anything to get mad about. Poor girl.
By implication, you reveal yourself to be emotionally fragile; why? How can anyone's words hurt you if that person is not in your heart? The (CCP style) secularists determined to destroy the West have decreed that we are not to look to God for our strength but indeed their malevolent selves and their debunked, soul destroying psychiatry bs.
All those 'self-esteem' chanting mantras so quickly fade to safe spaces, cuddle puppies and an addiction to prescription meds. Please listen to me when I tell you that "poor girl" you refer to has been indoctrinated into their system to put themselves first at all costs just like the rest of them. She herself would turn on you in a heartbeat. Subjective morality has that effect on ppl.
"Love your neighbor as yourself ..."
@@gutenmorgen9626 - No, it's the result of Commie filth producing godless, narcissistic zombies like they do in the West. It's what happens to society when you replace God's truth in the Bible and prayer in the classroom with the secular humanist religion of Darwinism.
@@garethwest9069 It can be viewed from different discplines. Sociology are gender are some of them. And I am seeing yours also add religion and politics into the mix. These different theoretical lenses exist and can co-exist.
She looks exactly like old chinese or japanese art representation of women. Just beautiful.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
@@erikshure360 no, beauty is mostly in the object, with some variance in tastes. Let's not bend reality and be hypocritical. Beauty is beauty.
@@abadran8174 True beauty*
@@abadran8174 exactly who is being hypocritical and how? What is beautiful is subjective. What you find beautiful is true for you and may be true for others. For instance, there are people who find 500+ pound women to be absolutely beautiful -- which is a far cry from what others would call beauty. Just because a lot (or even most) of people find something beautiful doesn't mean it's now "objectively" beautiful. Beauty is a subjective concept that transcends humanity.
@@erikshure360 objective beauty exists
This is the best thing that happened to her modeling career. Now she is known internationally with articles and photos - look her up. So the orchestrated effort backfired big time. More power to her! (btw: super hot, obviously)
She is not hot.
please ignore the bot that also commented.^^
however, in such a comformist society, where any nail that stands out gets hammered down, it's actually not the best thing that could happen to her. In fact, it's the worst thing that could have happened to her, because if in the West someone stands out, they gain support. But in such a conformist society like China, any nail that stands out gets hammered down. So, I actually feel really sad for her. She should be allowed to leave China, so that she can apply for a modelling agency abroad, I'm sure that agencies would be fighting over her.
