I had a 93 when we lived in Northern Nevada. It rained maybe 6" a year and most of that was in the winter as snow. I would take the top off Memorial Day Weekend and not put it on until Labor Day sometimes later. Such a fun truck!
Great video guys. I got a 95 extended cab short bed 4x4 I’m doing a lot of the same stuff too. I also wanna do lockers and a 6 in superlift suspension kit.
No joke. E4od transmissions use the brake light to signal torque converter lock/unlock on Broncos and others obs rigs. If all 3 brake lights are LEDs, the trans controller thinks you are applying the brake all the time. This causes the converter to slip, thinking you’re trying to stop. It has to do with how an incandescent bulb can carry a constant low voltage current as a signal, but an LED had to get full voltage to create a circuit. There’s a ton of information on this online.
Jason you’re absolutely right. Your bronco will throw a check engine light if your third brake light doesn’t work sometimes. I’ve been told guys have almost burnt theirs too the ground from switching these bulbs to LED. There is a ton of info on forums about it. It’s something about resistance in the electrical system.
I would to know where you bought the tail light from some can order some, I just bought a 96 Bronco and you guy’s gave me some good mods to make when it gets here. Thanks for the new idea’s.
Enjoy your build. Ive a 1996 bronco. You guys have any info on a protector for the tailgate. Im always rolling the rear window down and placing stuff in cargo area. Sometime i hit or scratching the top of the tailgate. I need a rubber or metal protector Thanks
I had that problem with my 93 2WD F150. I think it has something to do with being an automatic transmission and the wiring tied together between the brakes and trans. Im still trying to find a successful example of someone converting their lights to LEDs with an auto trans.
I have a 1995 Eddie Bauer edition, I am upgrading as well. My question is could I take a piece of frame from a 1995 f150 and have it welded onto bronco frame? The front passenger side from bumper to axle.
I’m looking forward to this upgrade as well. However, I am seeing different forums discussing the necessity for a resister with the 3rd brake light. Any updates since this video was made?
We've never noticed any issues with the lights. Ours is a 96 with EFI. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but we don't have any issues.
@@BackroadDriver What I read was that without a resistor, the LED 3rd light was sending a constant “braking” signal that was overtaxing the transmission. I have a ‘96 as well, so it sounds like it won’t be an issue. I appreciate your feedback and all your videos! Thank you!
They seem to be working fine so far. It really hasn't been driven that much, but if there were going to be issues, you'd think we would have had problems by now. They've been on the truck for quite a while at this point. Thanks for watching Eric!
Old school is a lot easier to work with the new truck hard to work on and who what's all technology junk. My 2020 f150 xlt sport I hate it. But my 2011 was a great truck I get ride of 2020 and looking for a older f150
ruclips.net/video/49WVkXyOElQ/видео.html Would the LED bolbs in the description work for both the backup and tail light bolbs? I have a old set of lenses I and trying to polish out like in this video and I was going to switch to some LED bolbs if they would work
I got LED bulbs in my original fixtures🤤🤤🔥

Can't wait to see the finished product!
I love all your videos on the 1996 bronco! Great job guys!
Following you guys! I'm all in on my 90 bronco.
Whats next? Bumpers? it looks amazing. thats how I would run an OBS if I had one
Gearing, diffs, and axles may come before bumpers. Bumpers should be special if all goes well.
Looking awesome! Can't wait to watch the rest of this build!!!
you need to update this with the affect the LED brake lights have on the Transmission Torque Converter
Wow. Those tails look amazing!!! I love them! 💯💯❤️👍🏼🇺🇸
I ordered these and put them on my 95 Bronco build. Can't wait for the next episode!
Thanks for watching Cole! We have big things coming on the Juice! We have tons of parts sitting around at our shop ready to be installed.

I'm really looking forward how this build is
Coming along, keep up the awesome job !!
Keep juicing it up !!
I've heard guys having issues with their transmision after installing LED third brake light. Let me know what you think.
HaHa! Bird finger.

@@c3dGm0n Could you get LED tail lights and be fine just as long as you don't go LEDs on the 3rd brake light?

Check the description under the video. We added some links.
Dang looks , Nice and modern
Looking good. Hope to meet you guys in Townsend this weekend.

wish the new bronco had a tailgate like the last gen also hope they come out with an f150 based bronco with a 5.0
Great choice.. looks great..
Thanks!
On my 95 Flareside the LED's in the middle are the brake light and the bar is the running light
You have the polarity reversed on the tail light. The bar is supposed to be lit and the whole light lights up for brake/turn.
Looks awesome
That looks reaaaaal good
I have those headlights, and tail lights and looking to replace my 3rd brake light
Have you had any issues with your transmission because of the 3rd led backlight?

@@Punkguy1991I’m told you need online resistors but I haven’t found out which value or how to ground

They are the same platform. I don’t see why not. A good fab shop might just make a new section.
any issues with your shifting? did you put in a resistor or something else?
Great video! Did you have to replace the hazard flasher to accommodate the led’s? I have 95 f250 that is giving issues with a tailgate led strip.
We are about to find our how it works…
@@BackroadDriver update?
There is a small wire ring that locks the reverse bulb in
Cool video.
Hope to have many more coming soon!
I have a 1995 bronco and would like to get them tail lights and head lights, where can I get them???
Is the link in the description?
Any feedback on the trans issues with the 3rd brake light setup? How are you liking the lighting setup?
The lighting is awesome. Haven’t driven it much since the 3rd brake light. Will test the trans issue out soon.

How are they holding up, any issues with them?
What did you guys come up with on hand holds to get in the truck?
Good 👍
would those fancy lights also be good for an '89 Bricknose?
Are there spacers on the wheels? If so, what size did you use
No spacers. Just a little rubbing at full turn.
Nice!! Looks great... :-)
Does the little controller for the led lights come with it ?
Are these led lights compatible with a 82 bullnose bronco
Will these headlights fit the 88 bronco
I bought these lights for my 96 XLT.
Did you guys happen to have any issues with the turn signals either not working or blinking slowly?

Yeah
where did u guys get the back up light from? the one that u said u had to get seperate
The link to the 3rd Brake light and the backup bulb for the tail light is in the description.

They should work. They use the same type of connector as the factory units.
