Telling fighters who bravely get up that they have to take a TKO is often an unpopular decision, but the worst cerebral damage is so often done after a boxer is too dazed to avoid and/or reduce the impact of a blow. If we love boxing we have to support ref's decisions to err on the side of caution to protect fighters.
I'm surprised Honeycutt's head remained attached to his shoulders after that punch by David Tua. You could probably have a whole video dedicated to Tua KO highlights. He was a beast.
I cannot take Canelo seriously again until he fights David Benavidez instead of fighting 2nd-rate guys like Munguia (who got knocked out by a guy with only 4 knockouts in 21 fights), Berlanga, and underweight guys moving up 2 weigh classes like Amir Khan (of the famous glass jaw) and Crawford, who is a great but much smaller boxer Canelo agrees to fight with instead of David Benavidez.
17:55 as a big fan of sweet pea, this was a nightmare night. Context being it was a tune up for the Oscar super fight. In hindsight, Hurtado was a horrific choice for this. The typical Cuban specialist who beat Casamayor in amateurs after his 1992 gold medal at Cuban nats, PW was not focused on this and nearly paid the price as he was beaten pilar to post with another extra point removed for rabbit punching. Luckily he pulled it out of the fire and gah leee did he. The ref nearly caught a manslaughter case for christ sake with that stoppage.
I've noticed one consistent thing about these fights. Most of the Refs are horrible. It's a wonder a few of them haven't gotten a fighter killed because of their stupidity. Absolutely pathetic.
You're so wrong.....people pay big money to see a fight, not a stoppage. If a bum can't handle a beat down, he can easily take a knee or his corner can throw in the towel.
The fight @ 11:15 looked like it was personal, also, since this was 1981 explains why the referee didn't step in much sooner. Same thing with the fight @ 17:45, far too many more powerful blows😮
8:51 I remember thinking this man is about to die in the ring from this overhand to the temple. Honestly, it reminded me of the poster for the movie Scanners 1981. I'm not a kid😂. The face he had looked like his last ride. About the scariest face I've seen on a boxer not broken and bleeding.
That and Curry laying out Milton McCrory. Possibly also add Jackson KO'ing Herol Graham with pretty much the only punch he managed to land in the entire fight
@@markseabolt5959 No it doesn't. It was not a spectacular KO. It was a ring tragedy. Guess you must be new to boxing, and haven't seen too many real KO's.
Yea...the refs just aren't close enough to the action...hence they aren't able to read the fight, and gauge the power of the punches and measure the effect.
Yall, idk what it is about Max Kellerman when he commentates but he seriously says shit outta left field. He was like that on first take and idk how to explain. If u know u know, but go listen to max Kellerman commentate the boxing matches. So awkward

great video.. but the opening KO was Hilarious! XD..
Great video thank you!
11:42 that ref is still thinking in 2024 about whether he should stop it
It was an early stoppage. The other guy was waiting for him to tire his arms out and then he was going to mount his comeback.
When the ref finally gets over there, he looks like he just starts checking his pulse
WOW😆😆😆😆love your Vids 😍😍😍😍

I like Dave MONSTER
That Canelo KO is such a masterpiece. Make it look like your going to the body and then quickly switch it up and go for the chin.
Yeah it's called a "feint"
Old moves time tested
When you have a vicious body shot like CA, your opponent will drop those elbows to cover awfully quick. Then it's easy to connect up top.
Yeah because his body shots are an actual threat and makes you drop your hands to protect the liver opening up the head.

I just knew he had lost, and with about 7 left hands, he won! Yeah, PW manager did a horrible job picking this one!
The kiss of angels. Effective.
Great video bro
...1 hr after being posted, 4,600 views. Good to see a lot of boxing fans still out there 🎉
Fury V Usyk 2 comments section will be gold ;)
Boxing fans? Or knockout fans? Post entire fights and see how many views there are.
Maybe I am the only boxing fan who does not enjoy to see fighters getting brutally KOed... I prefer winning by points or at least softer KO.
Неймовірні нокаути 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Нема ні одного з Клічків, Ломи. Дізлайк.
10:50 суддю під розстріл😮
I love the last one
The end .....😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
The most dangerous opponent in a boxing match isn't the human facing you, it's the canvas.
"Champ? Champ, can you hear me? What day is it?
"Jello!"
When Roy Jones’s hit dude, he turned into the exorcist…see his face 8:50
Some of these refs should be in prison
My favorite fight was Pintor versus Owen. 👌👏👍🥊🥊
5.30 mins... jeez, that looked like a dive against Whitaker!
11:37 was just wrong. 😮
11:25 was a dirty ass move. He was already down and he threw a temple shot. Huge scumbag move
Nice!
Some really REALLY bad reffing goin' on in some cases here....
sometimes the referees are late.
thanks for this nice video!
RIP Gary Mason and Johnny Matchstick Owen.
6:57 is why i stopped sitting in the first 5 rows! Nasty work!😅😅
13:58 June 1990?? 😂😂
😂😂 Fight was August 9th 2014 😂😂😂😂
Jones Jr hit that man so hard he bypassed the seven days and immediately saw the Ring 😂
10:45---damn...that looked like Griffith-Paret.Where the hell was the ref? He could have been killed.
This was seriously disturbing. Where was the ref? It’s a miracle that he didn’t get killed.

The only bad ref is 11:46
Johnny Owen died 7 weeks after getting KOed by Lupe Pintor. Never regained consciousness again.
@@bigbilly9960 jep the only one that was real bad
The very first one in the intro was killer it was funny AF.
11:52 ref is incompetent. Should have jumped in sooner to stop the fight. The only thing holding the dude up was the ring.
Roy Jones Jr, Olympic Gold Medalist? He got robbed
The referee of the match between Eklund and Clarke was watching the show and forgot of doing his job.

boom goes the dynamite!
I’ve never seen the Roy Jones v Serwano. That was intense 🐲🐲 looked like a real headshot
If Holmes’ arm didn’t get caught in the ropes, he probably could have gone a little longer!!🙄😁
3:12 when you see your fighter stumble away from a punchless clinch, you gotta throw the towel. That kid was done

Either I missed it they forgot Tommy Hearns CLOCKING!!!! Roberto Duran.
That and Curry laying out Milton McCrory. Possibly also add Jackson KO'ing Herol Graham with pretty much the only punch he managed to land in the entire fight
Ruben torres what a dirty cheap shot
nice
Why have the johnny owen fight in, the lad died ffs, show some respect.
I am with you all the way on that. Disgraceful!
21:34 - the guy died in the ring (pretty much). Had convulsions while on the canvas. Loss of a great talent and person.
It was in poor taste that you included the Lupe Pintor-Johnny Owen fight. Have some respect.
Guess you didn’t read the title of the video there lil’ Tulip. That knock out 100% belongs in this video.

@@bengolfs1 I agree, should’ve featured Jackson finishing Herol Graham with that big right hand, fortunately Graham wasn’t badly hurt.
@@mickg7299 Jackson was arguably the hardest puncher of the 1980's and 1990's. You could fill a whole video with just his highlight reel stoppages.
Jefferson vs Harris. That has to be the scariest one punch of all time.
18:01 what the hell was the ref waiting for?
Way off on the date of the Danny Garcia fight. But great video nonetheless.
That RJ fight against Art Servano was scary for sure! The guy looked like a zombie after jones dropped him
To say his "body is no longer working" is wild 🫤
It's one thing to get knocked out but to get knocked out with your ass up in the air? 🤔
Danny Garcia vs Salka was funny, Garcia fought when he was 2 year Old .. he was born in 1988 and he fought in 1990 with Salka
6:00 Капа со свистом вылетела. 😂
I thought Ray Mercer's knockout of Tommy Morrison would've been in the list.
Yea...the refs just aren't close enough to the action...hence they aren't able to read the fight, and gauge the power of the punches and measure the effect.
Donaire vs Darchinyan and Pacquaio vs Hatton should have been included as well.
Azumah Nelson vs Jesse James Leija 3 legend fights.

ALL ADDS WILL BE MUTED AND NOT LOOKED AT IN ANY WAY.
I rewinded the first KO bout 47 times🤣 crossed the feet immegiately!!!
What was the Ugandan boxer thinking ? Why leave open the side of the face where the punch be coming in and block where there’s no punch LOL

Afolabi's knockout was as if he had been hit by a truck.🎉
Where is Marquez vs Pacquiao 4th fight. That was brutal 1 punch knockout in the 6th round
Well it's was time to man up, probably some was saved from a career that they should have not been in

Again I ask; why do you feel the need for clapping sounds????????
It’s not a good sign, when, instead of focusing on the guy he’s beating up, a boxer is paying more attention to the judge.
The fact that they didn't show Ray Mercer knocking out Tommy Morrison is puzzling. That is probably the most brutal knock-out of all time.
This video must have been altered. None of the time stamps that people are posting lines up with the video at all.
I don't think you should include the Johnny Owen fight, it's not entertainment.

Donaire vs Darchinyan
Pacquiao vs Hatton
Martinez vs Williams
10:49 the ref should be fired from boxing forever!
Shameful referring in the Eklund V Clarke bout. Should’ve been straight in to stop that.
Some of the referring is questionable stopping things far too late 🙄
You forgot to include Pacman vs Ricky Hatton.
Yikes I have a headache just viewing these.

I hope you know that the poor man died as a result of those punches.
Absolutely no respect from the refs. Appalling
Where's Pacquio v Hatton knockout?
Pacquiao bs Marquez 4 should be the scariest one
Dicky would of been a champion of he could of stayed clean. He was an excellent boxer. Hate he wasted his talent.
Where was canelo v Khan ?? That was the worst ko ever
Eklund v Clarke was an utter disgrace - where did they get the ref from? He's useless and it went on far too long.
