How does this fit into the SMD line of subs? Why are there no terminals on the speakers? Reminds me of old school amps and their short ass wires due to being chopped off so many times... I guess its one less connection to add resistance...
lol, I still have an old school orion amp just like you said, wires almost chopped down to the metal case
Most high end speakers have a direct lead option. I believe the thought is they will have less resistance as well as no worry of them becoming disconnected. In Steve's case it probably won't make any difference as he'll be using a ring terminal and his nice speaker terminal plates for the install in a close enough proximity to benefit from the direct connection.

how much would a system cost like the one in the Yukon with the iPod in the dash all meter custom box and amp rack and the mac mini in there also but instead of 12s put 15s
30 grand with alts wire subs amps enclousure....if u want what he has...i just sold my truck wich had almost 15 grand into it....the more gear...the more problems and headaches...subs blow...amps blow...u gotta get custom door panels...there is so much fabrication and things that go into that u dont realize until u do a big build...i sold the truck because it got to expensive...so i down sized from 20,000 watts to 400 watts on a single 10....and it slams...your box and electrical are so important...otherwise its a waiste of money..
I just want 2 15 and the amps to make them pound and a i pad in the dash and a Mac mini don't want a huge system
