I’m surprised that the Rake, Polybius, lavender town syndrome, normalp0rnfornormalpeople and Godzilla NES were so low, I thought they were really well known
i think they’re lower down bc they’re only really popular among creepypasta fans that have read/listened to creepypastas from the earlier 2010s. all of those are classics in my mind but now i never see anything about them. but also i think that the rake is more of an urban legend than a creepypasta. i used to wholeheartedly believe in the rake and would scare the bejesus out of myself bc i live in north georgia and convinced myself that every sound in the woods was the rake and not normal fucking animals that live in the woods.
i once brought up lavender town syndrome to someone who liked pokémon games and i told them to listen to it and they wouldn’t talk to me for WEEKS bc they thought i cursed them 😭 i felt so bad bc i assumed they knew that creepypastas are fake
@@misseselise3864 yeah it’s definitely the 2010s thing. I was into creepy pasta back when Jeff the killer fanfics were on the rise. Most creepypasta fans now just browse the recent nosleep stories.
Tbh I’m not even mad. Today’s creepypasta is a lot better than whatever we were doing in 2013

The Black Friday story about the Toy Story movie is actually very true. If you have the DVD of the movie with bonus material, then I urge you to watch it. The producers and other people involved in the making of the movie tell the story about how in the beginning Woody was a very unlikable character. It even shows some of the original movie. So yeah, this is really not a creepypasta story or any other type of fictional story, it is true. I can't help but wonder if the author of the story knew that it was true to begin with, or if they literally just made it up themselves. But it is a true story. Just so you know.

@Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 I think what they mean is that while the Black Friday cut is a real thing, most of the info in the pasta is untrue, Disney hadn’t been demanding “edge” & the film wasn’t particularly dark- woody was just a huge asshole which made the film borderline unwatchable as a result
@Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 from what I understand, Woody was more of an antagonist in the original film (though I think he was still supposed to be redeemed in the end) and generally behaved in a far more rude & aggressive manor, making the film very unpleasant to watch, especially for children. There’s a storyboard of one scene from the Black Friday cut online, which I recommend checking out, & crew members have also said in interviews that the character was just super unlikeable to the point of being aggravating to watch

ok the polybius one truly freaks me out cause i’m from oregon and when i was a kid my dad would talk about how he used to bar hop and go to different arcades back in the 80s and how he had seen a polybius arcade cabinet once in a bar and didn’t play it (he got bad headaches so he didn’t like flashing games like that is what he would tell me) he said didn’t think anything of it until it was gone only few weeks later and he would always shrug and be like “oh yeah it was probably the government or something i have no idea but it freaked me out.” i always just assumed it was just a local cabinet that went under or something and my dad was just fucking with me. until i was a teen reading creepypastas and i saw the stuff about it and people saying it never existed at all and shit. so tbh i have no idea what to think about polybius.

No no no, listen...the only reason why Mr.Nightmare cancelled his narration of The Truth Behind Chuck e Cheese is because he probably realized it's a poorly written Creepypasta.
Truth is, a good narrator can turn a bad story into something creepy with his voice but in the end, bad is bad.
It's still not as bad as The Real Chuck e Cheese ( Michael Leroi made a hilarious reading and analysis of it) but...yeah.

I went from wanting to write a Creepypasta about a Pukka as a teen to now, as a 21 year old woman, wanting to write about how uncanny my dreams/nightmares involving my dad, are. He died this past November from a stress caused aortic dissection, and after my first three dreams with him, he now often acts as a resting point or the threshold before the chaos and whatever method of death or jumpscare wakes me up. I'm working on a fantasy-horror book right now so, uhhh, I'll come back to this later. I'd probably call it 'We Miss You, Dad' to hark on the heartbreak I feel whenever these dreams happen.

İ knew the NES Godzilla creepypasta would be here. That one is my favorite one. Mostly because i'm a huge Godzilla fan and i also really like Red's design. İt looks like the perfect antagonist for a creepypasya which features kaiju's

i’ve been listening to creepypastas since 2013/2014 and i LOVE debating on whether a creepypasta could actually be a true story
i’ve always thought that the “i’m a search and rescue officer” series is super plausible. cause like... people don’t just evaporate, they have to go somewhere when they go missing.
reminds me of a police dash cam video i saw from the 00s showing a car chase and the car just goes through a fence without any damage whatsoever to the fence. it was like it teleported from one side of the fence to another
You and a handful of other RUclipsr have gotten me into the whole “iceberg genre”. I’ve even been watching iceberg videos of communities and other series that I don’t even follow or know much about.

Fun fact, Funland is real. I live near it. It closed in 2004 and still sits there abandoned. The animatronic dog is still there in the outhouse. The fence around the place has been broken down and I’ve sneaked in at least 5 times

"The Black Friday Incident" is actually based on the production troubles of Toy Story, since production for the movie was complete hell because Jeffrey Katzenberg wanted the film to go on a mature, edgy direction, the Black Friday reel is very infamous for multiple reasons, but the revisions to a family-friendly theme thankfully had no problem.

This is more of an urban legend, but I live in the same county in Pennsylvania where the supposed "7 Gates of Hell" are said to be. Apparently, it's private property so it's not recommended to go wandering around there

I always found those children’s tv show theories where it’s always “it’s their imagination” or “the characters are all dead” really stupid. I think it’s just people trying to ruin classic cartoons
cartoon theories are all "they were insane" "the characters are all dead" or "they were in a coma"
Its just lazy. Rather than writing an original story with its own fleshed out characters, they just build off an established cartoon and just end up making some garbage babadook knockoff fanfiction.

Lavendar town's one of those stories that falls apart when you realize there's no way that wouldn't make the news. That and they wouldn't just allow Nintendo to change the music, they'd just outright ban the game. It's just hard to suspend my disbelief for.

Really great video and I love how you organize this but I do have a few tips.
One I would just put a flash warning especially for that one part of the video talking about why babies are born screaming.
Second, you mumble a lot and it’s hard to hear, if you speak out it’s much easier to enunciate and hear your words. I really hope you make more videos like this I like your work a lot!
