My family had the honor and privilege of meeting Allyson Felix in the lobby of our hotel in Long Beach, CA back in late March 2013 during a business trip (I took my wife and kids along for a mini vacation while we were there). What a gracious, articulate, classy young woman Allyson is - she took time from eating her breakfast to give our girls her autograph and pose for pictures with them. Our girls were beside themselves it was such an inspiring thrill for them. To this day that picture is framed on their bedroom wall. In an age when (American) parents are tied up in anguished knots over the characters whom our children misguidedly chose to idolize and emulate, Allyson Felix is truly a welcome breath of fresh air. My wife and I are extremely proud to know that our girls hold a great national representative and athletic champion - Allyson Felix - in such high regard. As a former track and field athlete myself, I truly appreciate Allyson's flawless form - no wasted energy at all. Back in my track and field days (the 1980s) we would have said Allyson's fluid relaxed form and speed were reminiscent of watching a gazelle run. In this race she made running a 47 second 400 meters look easy. I can tell you from my own personal experience that it is not, at least it wasn't for me back in the day. Allyson Felix is a beautiful runner, and more importantly a beautiful person.
Wow. I'm even a bigger fan of her now. How cool you and your family got to meet her.

This kid is a beast! Just check out her demeanor before a race; she's more 'in the zone' than any athlete I've seen, and I've been looking closely at athletes since the mid 70s. Besides, she keeps getting physically stronger every time you see her! My favorite runner for the past 8 years. Go get 'em Allyson!

Allyson is one of the VERY FEW athletes that most people around the world woulc call a truly clean athlete. She has offered herself to be tested more times and more frequently than any other athletes, in order to get the trust and love of fans around the world for this beautiful sports of track and field.

I mean, I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens at the US trials in July.
And also, the spacing of the events has a lot to do with it too.

yeah blake, powel and also ottey had a doping past and some other less known athletes as well. Doping is a big problem in sports and a lot of countries are doping their athletes. Schippers may be one of them, but we don't know unless she gets caught
