- More early DDL...here he is in Conny Templeman's 1986 film 'Nanou', starring Imogen Stubbs as a young Englishwoman who sets off adventuring in Europe, where she falls in love with Luc (Jean-Philippe Ecoffey), a young man who's involved in some rather unsavory activities. Daniel plays Max, the nice English guy she left behind. The role is brief, but I really like his hair.:)
im gonna cry hes so beautiful
He's so skinny
È così fantastico!!! Sempre, in ogni ruolo lui tiene in piedi l'intera scena, l'intero film! GRANDE
It's somehow strangely unbelievable that he would go on to make There Will Be Blood. What I mean is that everything about this is so daytime-television-ish and that TWBB is so darkly elemental and dirty and fierce. It's like DDL is trying to go to every place he can actingwise.
Omg daniel day lewis was so beautiful om his young years incredibly handsome i love him
He still is rather handsome for a dude in his 60’s.
@@flannerymonaghan-morris1317 yes. For me he aged really well
Too skinny
Imogen Stubbs is a fine actress.
Mamma mia quanto era bello!! E le espressioni, il suo sguardo pieno di malizia, la sua voce!! Come fa lei a scegliere l’altro? Daniel tutta la vita!!❤
I Have The Dvd..And Love This Film....
I remember first seeing him in My Beautiful Laundrette. He was ostensibly wonderful from there on. Don't know this film though. Imogen Stubbs was a true beauty imho.
DD Was learning his craft here, a bit too mannered, a bit too conscious of his own beauty
He was young indeed. The greatest actor ever in my opinion.
'a bit too conscious of his own beauty' I like that!
and thank you!
@supalobujet4 or you should have a long hard look at yourself and decide to be a better person who doesn't make ill-judged comments about a director's work
@twoeffs38
His accent as a younger man was a little like that--but not quite as clipped or stuffy. His current real-life accent is lovely (English accent with a slight irish lilt)...he's a charming man, but much more of a softie than his film roles would indicate.
1:18 NO, No, No....... braces UNDER waistcoat! UNDER!
What's that white pot she gives him??
That comment really is taking the piss
A chamber pot 😁
@@jayenneB lmao and what does he say? sorry english is not my first language
@@buttersc0tch English is not my first language either 😁
@@jayenneB I figured it out, he says "blimey"
so she chooses the other guy in this movie?? nonsense at all!!
Daniel is lovely and incredibly beautiful as always!
He's too skinny
gorgeous, insanely talented Daniel Day Lewis !!!
He's too skinny
This is a gem!!!! can't seem to find the movie though :(
I think this scene is from “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” that’s why you weren’t able to find it.
@@sanjeev8762 Lol, she's called Nanou, it's from 1986 british tv, a drama called nanou! Difficult to find on dvd.
Can anyone know how i can find this movie please ?!
Do you find it ?!!
I want to know too
Omg that's Abe Lincoln
In rereading that I saw I did a terrible job explaining what I meant so please forgive me, but I think that TWBB is such and important film because this type of movie makes me want to die and TWBB makes me want to live, and I am so glad DDL did both of these films... it shows there is hope.
J'adore DDL
hunk there
50
I feel the same way as sodemurely...
me too!!
If there was one word to describe this film, other of course than boring or shite, it would be: pretentious. This is the most horrendously middle class film in years! And who is this director? Have they made anything else since then? I hope not! I think they should take a long look at themselves and their career in the mirror.
