There was no need for it since Tyler can only provide his opinion, but 1 single comment from Jeff can change it all. Ex: Jeff could write in the season finale that Derek kept Peter around because he was being blackmailed (False). Only Jeff has the definite answers so there's no need to grill Tyler like this.
