I'm an old dude with an '89 Supercharged MR2. I thought there was waaaay too many GR86's and BRZ's at this event(Yes,, I know it's the spiritual successor of the AE86 but damn). Even though it was an AE86 event,, man I would've loved if at least one first gen AW11 would've represented and drove in. Not a one. I was surprised. The new generation is taking over,, as you said.
I love how the popo shows up and everyone continues to chill and slowly trickle out. Back in the 90's in Miami, at the drag races in Homestead, it looked like a scene out of Bad Boys when the cops showed up. They even brought out the chopper! LOL

As much as I like the first body of the GR86, I like the second one less. In the first body, it looked unique. In the second, it became more like some mass-produced Honda or Hyundai. With the second body, they depersonalized it, deprived it of charm. Oh-oh-oh, why did they do that? Big mistake:(
