I spent hours with my Lego bricks when I was a kid. Sadly, they were given away years ago so my building days are over 😢. Those logs you’re recalling were probably “Lincoln Logs” which I also had and enjoyed. Great video and great stories. It’s always a treat to see you post a new video. Keep up the amazing work my friend!
Oh my, so many memories! I had bricks like that, too. And another type with bricks to be put on a white base. Loved to build with them. I think both sets are somewhere in the attic at my parent's house.
You've quickly become my favorite RUclips artist. Thank you for your videos and for sharing your stories with those of us lucky enough to hear them. I'm a single father and it isn't always easy to find rest or to slow my thoughts after a long day, though, you've certainly helped with that, thank you.
Hey Jeff, kudos to you for being a single father, not easy I am sure. The main thing is you are there for your kids. It may be hard to imagine but you are experiencing the best days of your life. Glad my videos help you relax. You comments really made my day my friend...hang in there and keep being the amazing dad that you are.....;)
Hi Mark, First off, that Chicago Mix popcorn is the best thing EVER!! Glad you love it too. I had the really old Lincoln Logs when I was a kid! I hope to hear you talk about/incorporate Nanaimo Bars at some point. Unless you're from Canada or the Pacific Northwest, people probably haven't had this delicious experience! Keep up the great work. I live in the "other" Vancouver (WA) I constantly have to explain that I don't live in Canada. Lol ~Tammy
You are right Tammy, I love Chicago mix. I have had Nanaimo bars many times because it is named after the town I live in. I have even had Nanaimo bars deep fried....lol...I like your idea of doing a video on Nanaimo bars and I could talk about the town also...thanks so much Tammy, you rock!....:)
Hi Mark! This is awesome! Those look brand new from here! I grew up with Legos. I can remember sitting in my bedroom for hours on end building. I have to admit that I’ve never heard of Stay Locks before, but those are great. I wish I still had my Legos from all those years back. I think my Mom may still have the game Perfection in her closet. It’s so cool to see that your Mom saved some of your most meaningful and developmental toys (tools) of your childhood. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Speedfreely, those blocks were in storage for a long time and I always looked after them a s a kid so they are in good shape. Aside from the plastic windows yellowing the bricks themselves look great still. Thanks for watching and have an amazing day...and never stop being the awesome person that you are my friend.....:)
thank you Daniel, it gets a bit hot in the summer time...we are having very hot weather lately so it is temping to shave it off...thanks for your kind comments my friend.......:)
Great story telling, watch your videos at the end of the day to relax. Childhood stories are great, really any stories you share are great 👍 maybe words of wisdom based on your life experiences at the end of the video might be great. Take care
Wonderful video Mark. Can't tell you how much I look forward to your videos. I never had the tiniest bit of patience for the Lego (basically left over bits that my older brothers left behind)I had when I was a kid. I was into music as a child both listening and playing and that's all I did! I'm sure my parents thought I was weird 😆But music became my job an enjoyable job so I'm pleased I gave the Lego a wide birth 🤣 But I really enjoyed watching this vid my friend, as always, wonderful . Thanks Mark, all your work is very much appreciated 🤘
Very kind and encouraging words Glenn, thank you so much I am planning a video of some of my favorite childhood toys, my slot car set etc. Thanks for tuning in Glenn, keep being amazing...;)
Greetings from Vancouver Island Mike, hope all is well with you my friend. Say hi to the Beatles for me, as a kid I always wanted to visit Liverpool. Thanks for tuning in.....:)
Hi Mark, watching this video from Rhodes, Greece 🇬🇷 knew right away when you were trying to force that block that you were squeezing too hard and the house was going to collapse 🤣🤣… also your joke reminded me of one I heard years ago… Drunk man walks into a bar and says to the bartender “I bet you £1 I can bite my right eye” Bartender says “excuse me?” Drunk man: “I bet you £1 I can bite my right eye!!” Bartender: “Ok you’re on”… both put their £1 coins on the bar, drunk guy takes his right eye out and bites it Bartender: “That’s very clever, I bet you £10 you can’t bite your left eye” Drunk man: “Ok you’re on”… both put £10 on the bar… Drunk man takes out his teeth and bites his left eye… 🤣🤣🤣 As always, love to you, Linda and the rest of the family my friend 💙💙
Lol, thats a great joke Uncle, I like it. You are very perceptive to know my house was going to collapse after putting the squeeze on it. You are in a very beautiful part of the world my friend. I was in Greece in May of 2008 and I want to go back. Always nice hearing from you Uncle, stay amazing my friend....:)
Wonderful video my friend! You're so talented and always such a pleasure to listen to. Your friend Richard's joke was great! Those blocks were wonderful and so relaxing to listen to. Take care Mark, and I look forward to the next video!
Thanks Lloyd, I still have some other childhood toys somewhere around. I may do a video on all my favorite toys from when I was a kid...take care Lloyd and thanks for your continued support....:)

I can’t believe your mom can say that she got to witness her sons grow to ages potentially older than she could have possibly even lived. Here she is hoping to live until 73 and yet she watched her son grow to that age .. that’s so rare and fascinating
Yes Aaron my mom is quite blessed to live to the age she is and still be in her own home and enjoying quality of life. Thank you for your kind words, have a wonderful day....:)
Being non-Canadian - I have no idea what Chicago Mix is. From the looks and sound it seems to be a type of carmel corn. You can share your toy nostalgia with your grandkids when they come along. Just make sure they're old enough so as not to put those small pieces in their mouth and possibly choke.
Chicago mix is caramel corn and cheese corn but the two of them together is like heaven on earth. I am hoping for grandkids someday, my best hope is my daughter who is getting married next summer. Take care my friend and don't worry, if I give my grandkids anything to play with it will be Duplo, the BIG version of Lego....take care my awesome friend....:)
