All went well, I set the VNAV and my flight plan linked perfectly, the APT followed the course, but the APT would not follow the decent path. "I have control" in the end.🤨
Thank you for the video! Quick question: what does setting the bearing do in the cases of an RNAV landing? Is that essential? I have no idea how this all works and I haven't seen that before. Thank you!
@@list3n2ipod oh yeah it doesn’t matter you can load it through the PFD or the MFD it makes no difference. I like loading it in the PFD so I can see it on the bigger map at the same time
Yo Dizzy, i have a few questions (im completly noob). How do i approach to airpots wich dont have any informations in the sim? like little gravel runways and so on. When i use the VPTH do i have to set the alt manually too? Nice video series thanks m8
@@sharki725 you can plug the airport into the G1000 as the destination airport. Press PROC and see if there’s a visual approach for it. If there is select vectors-to-final or straight. That will give you loosely relied upon lateral and vertically guidance (meaning if you can’t see there’s no guarantee you won’t hit anything). Other than that there’s not really anyway to do it. In real life the flight wouldn’t be made.
@@sharki725 for VPTH altitudes on an approach should be set automatically. If you want to use VPTH on a flight plan you’ll have to set them manually. I’m gonna post a video on that
@@DizzySloth02 Thank you very much. The information that the flight wouldnt be made in reallife is a good thing to know. Now in my flights with the g1000 i have the problem that when i set alt, it shows weird numbers. Its not like 5000, instead it is 5003 or 5091. You know why is that? Best regards
@ that’s just because the ATL button pings to whatever altitude you are currently at. If you can bind a button there’s a CWS button you can hold to temporarily deactivate the AP, pitch down/up until you reach the exact right altitude and then release it. That should put it on a whole number. Or set up FLC or VS to get it to fly to the altitude bug
Nice tutorial buddy. Always well explained.
Very informative video. I’ll watch this again when I’m in my flight simulator
Great work, I have really learnt so much from this series. All I now need to do is put these lessons into practice.

What a great video.
I will practice this next time i can fly!

It's not essential but i usually set them because it gives me another reference to distance
@ perfect! Thank you so much!
I watched an older video where the guy programmed the MFD instead of PFD. What's the difference?
@@list3n2ipod can you be a little more specific as to what you mean by programmed??
@@DizzySloth02 Sorry, loaded the flight plan. Like started from KBLI to CYYJ and then the enroute waypoints.

Btw, audio was a little low😉

Yo can you teach me how to fly the Boeing pmdg 777

This new game sucks! The ATC is all screwed up!
