All went well, I set the VNAV and my flight plan linked perfectly, the APT followed the course, but the APT would not follow the decent path. "I have control" in the end.🤨
Nice video, well put together and at a good pace to make it easy to follow and understand. Many thanks. I've subscribed now and will be watching from now on and going back over anything that I've missed 👍
Great videos. I learned some new things from them. I’m getting back into msfs now that 2024 is out. The discord link didn’t work for me. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to the next video.
Thank you very much. Amazing, Now I want to fly to airports that have procedures. Having graduated from High School in Daytona, I like to fly from Flagler or Ormond to Daytona.
Great video. How would you have set up the plane if you were preparing for go around contingency? I assume you would reset heading bug and at some point turned up the altitude setting so that you could hit "AP" after deciding go around and had positive climb.
I would follow the missed approach procedure on the approach plate. Most missed approach procedures have an altitude and heading so I would bug both of those when short final. Also if a VOR is used on the missed then I would tune the VOR into the nav frequency
Thank you for the video! Quick question: what does setting the bearing do in the cases of an RNAV landing? Is that essential? I have no idea how this all works and I haven't seen that before. Thank you!
Hi, How do you handle the trim just before landing when disconnecting autopilot, just keep it at the last setting autopilot set it on? Because sometimes I have trouble making a good landing when the trim is not set to 0
@@list3n2ipod oh yeah it doesn’t matter you can load it through the PFD or the MFD it makes no difference. I like loading it in the PFD so I can see it on the bigger map at the same time
Hi DizzySloth when i go to the efb and select Approaches i get some runway numbers but when i click them there are options underneath. Have i missed something?
If you’re in career I think it’s a little bugged or that airport might not have approaches. You’re doing it right tho all the plates should be under the approaches tab. Hint: if you see an option for the approach in the plane but no approach plate on the EFB it’s a bug
@DizzySloth02 Thank you yes I'm in career mode hopefully will get get fixed soon. Thanks so much for your videos there easy to follow and clear. Merry Christmas
2:23 Nice video, but this single thing changes everything! I was always so annoyed when the missions wouldn't load the charts for the destination airport. How do you have traffic in your game? Literally nothing is flying in my game.
For some reason I think the EFB is a little bugged for career mode. You should also be able to change your traffic settings in the options menu I think. Or in the beginning under weather tab.
Question. I am on Xbox. When taking the auto pilot off to land my engine went to full. Any thing I need to do to avoid this as it really can destroy my landing? Thanks
@@OFGoubet Yes, however an increase in power is required when taking flaps due to an increase in drag. And can’t pitch down to compensate bc gotta maintain the glide slope: = increase power
Yo Dizzy, i have a few questions (im completly noob). How do i approach to airpots wich dont have any informations in the sim? like little gravel runways and so on. When i use the VPTH do i have to set the alt manually too? Nice video series thanks m8
@@sharki725 you can plug the airport into the G1000 as the destination airport. Press PROC and see if there’s a visual approach for it. If there is select vectors-to-final or straight. That will give you loosely relied upon lateral and vertically guidance (meaning if you can’t see there’s no guarantee you won’t hit anything). Other than that there’s not really anyway to do it. In real life the flight wouldn’t be made.
@@sharki725 for VPTH altitudes on an approach should be set automatically. If you want to use VPTH on a flight plan you’ll have to set them manually. I’m gonna post a video on that
@@DizzySloth02 Thank you very much. The information that the flight wouldnt be made in reallife is a good thing to know. Now in my flights with the g1000 i have the problem that when i set alt, it shows weird numbers. Its not like 5000, instead it is 5003 or 5091. You know why is that? Best regards
@ that’s just because the ATL button pings to whatever altitude you are currently at. If you can bind a button there’s a CWS button you can hold to temporarily deactivate the AP, pitch down/up until you reach the exact right altitude and then release it. That should put it on a whole number. Or set up FLC or VS to get it to fly to the altitude bug
Thank you very much. Your narration and the context of the video is very inclusive. Procedures %100 works correctly.
Thank you, I found your teaching so clear and calming. Very helpful and I appreciate you spending your time producing this video.
Thank you I try my best lol
Great work, I have really learnt so much from this series. All I now need to do is put these lessons into practice.

Very informative video. I’ll watch this again when I’m in my flight simulator
Thanks for your helpful videos about instrument flying in MSFS. This channel definitely deserves more views!
Nice tutorial buddy. Always well explained.
Amazing videos you made my experience in the game 1000% more enjoyable
Awesome teaching style.
Thank you!
Very good video. Now off to try it.
Nice clear tutorial, thanks!
What a great video.
I will practice this next time i can fly!
Thx I’ve been looking for good AP guides for rookies. Will also check up your other vids
Thank you for checking out the other ones too!!
Smooth landing. Great video! Thank you!
Haha thanks
Great video! I was always wondering why RNAV never worked, I never knew you had to load the plan
Of course, if you have anymore trouble getting stuff to work you can ask questions on the discord too

Okay so im in career mode and I do not see any approaches charts am I doing something wrong? Grate video by the way!!!
Thank you very much. Amazing, Now I want to fly to airports that have procedures. Having graduated from High School in Daytona, I like to fly from Flagler or Ormond to Daytona.
Flagler is the best!
So in order to activate approach mode you need to have the flight plan loaded “&” activated ? I tried using approach mode with GPS and it didn’t work
Great
Very good video. Do you leave nearby Savannah? Not many people make videos flying in Savannah. Lol thank you!!!
Thank you and no but I do live in Daytona and fly north a lot

Can you do a video like this but on the pc-12??
Question, why isn’t bearing 2 set to nav 1

I would assume it’s a key bind issue.. (full power same key as AP disconnect)
