My nephew (husband's side) at 9 yrs old was a literal bully. When they moved in with us for 2 years it took everything in me trying to help this little boy learn that it's not okay, and that you don't have to deal with issues by insulting/hurting someone. His dad just repeatedly said "Itll help him have thick skin" 😣 I had started seeing some progress, but now they've moved and I worry about him daily
Kids are wild these days. I pulled my kids out of public school after 1 year because the other kids were so feral it was literally changing my kids personality and making them have anxiety. I just... i know kids have always been cruel, but its on a different level these days.
I think I have to pull my oldest her whole personality has changed in the public school system ....at home she goes by ger regular name but in school she has to go by Colby cause that's how she feel she can fit it 🤦🏻♀️
I think it’s because they all have access to RUclips and stuff online now? I let my daughter use RUclips for a couple weeks and NEVER AGAIN… she started to throw tantrums and get really mean about things. Once RUclips was gone she straightened back up into her sweet self
i don’t understand people who don’t understand that it’s simply not the same… 30 years ago kids weren’t getting ideas from social media on how to destroy and vandalize their schools no one was filming 24/7, camera out no one had to worry about if a little mistake would affect them for the rest of their life there was no digital footprint
agreed. i've been harassed online by kids with unsupervised internet access and its so crazy to me. when i was growing up, i had no phone until i was 14 and even then i didn't talk to strangers online bc of stranger danger. i can't imagine how bad public schools are now.
My little sister in elementary school tells me all the “drama” about her classmates and it’s wild 😭 I remember playing tag and just running around with the whole class just a little over 10 years ago, wth happened??
Kids these days are horrible, last year in 8th grade i was bullied so bad into ed and like its obviously parents faults bc a lot dont teach their kids its wrong/dont care what their kids are doing
Some Kids have just always been horrible. They either don’t get the love/attention they need at home or they are following peer pressure from kids who don’t get enough love or attention
It is the parent's fault but when it comes to older kids like an 8th grade It's definitely the child's fault as well. 13-year-olds are old enough to know how to treat people correctly even if their parents didn't teach them.
I can’t believe kids these days are trying too make other kids feel bad about themselves when we should be helping eachother feel more confident about ourselves. You are such a good mom! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LIKES!
To be fair kids have been that way forever! It all depends on their parents, bc well if your a parent and you see something you dont like and are verbal about it (example// someone with a unnatural color hair, or style, or sexuality or ethnicity literally anything) then those kids will pick it up and thinks it’s ok to say rude things about those kinds of people. Social media has sadly just given them a platform to let more people see those opinions.
When i was in elementary, middle school in the early 2000s it was the opposite. Hot lunch was everything and any homemade or unique lunch was deemed weird or gross. 🙄 kids really make up the most random things. Yall are doing a good job with Grace!
You know what’s crazy?? At my younger brothers elementary school if you don’t have any money in your account they take your food!! I pack me and my brothers lunch everyday so it isn’t a worry but he was telling my parents yesterday about one of his friends who isn’t as financially stable. This little boy has not had a meal during school hours for WEEKS. I gave my brother some cash to give to the little boy so he could at least have a lunch, but it’s astonishing that schools do that!
That happened to my brother my mom had an emergency with my grandparents and send my brother with lunch money one week and he didn’t eat because he’s in kindergarten and it was his 3rd week of school and didn’t know how to basically do anything at that point yet so never gave money to teacher he just starved for 8 hours
Just wait Middle school's the worst from what I've been told high schoolers calm down after middle school but boy those middle school kids are ruthless.
Moms out there, please, please don't feel bad for not doing stuff like this. My mom made lunch for me and my sister every morning for years, and we just got her to take a break last year, and we were already graduating by then. She felt guilty for letting us have a school lunch, and that she wasn't good enough if she didn't make us lunch, which is obviously insane. Anyway, be nice to yourselves, it hurts your kids too when you think you're a bad parent.
I'm currently 2 years older than grace, and let me tell you third grade is rough. A few weeks ago someone said "Your mom doesn't love you and ur ugly", I just try to ignore them and remember it's not there fault there acting like this! Although as a 9 year old who suffers from regular high level anxiety, it’s still really hard. BUT I LOVE YOU GUYSSSS!
So sweet of you and yes don't pay any attention to them coz that's what those kids want. Also pls be careful while being on the internet and don't tell anyone your age. Stay safe and good luck to you!
I think it is amazing that ur putting so much love into her meal but at my old school’s personally they don’t like when parents drop food off bc they have to deliver it and find the class there in and it takes so much more time than just bringing it in
“She did give me the permission” is so wholesome. Lots of these kids with social media parents are really gonna grow up with hate that their life had to be on blast and display for likes, but the fact you asked her is such great parenting 😊
Those fruit bars are absolutely amazing! So delicious! I especially love the pineapple passionfruit ones! Also, i love that you're taking the time to do something nice for your daughter, even though you're undoubtedly busy.
those kids are crazy you are such an amazing mom to your kids i’ve never had to experience this bc i’ve been in private catholic school my whole life and even at my school there is a long school lunch line so school lunch or home lunch it doesn’t change how great of a mom you are and u live your videos too
I turn click dont show again for most 'mumfluencers' but you are such a good mum and have such a good relationship with your girls i cannot stop watching❤
I'm going to feel so bad when she gets in middle school. Yes, some kids have different experiences, but I am going into 8th grade. When I was in 7th, I went to a mental hospital because of bullying. I hope she never has to deal with what I had to. Love yah ❤❤
kids would say the same things to me growing up, im so glad she has a supportive mom willing to make her that lunch.. i ended up making my own as a child.
Social skills are important. I have social anxiety, probably the reason I won't have any friends in my classes this year- I struggle on making friends, I can barely hold a conversation, let alone look someone in the eyes!
When I was in school, kids who had to bring their own lunch were picked. They said it was because the parents couldn't afford to get hot lunch which was insane because the school lunches came in these flimsy cardboard boxes and were always soggy, cold, and tasted like it was prepared on the floor of a poorly maintained shoe factory and then forgotten in a closet for a few years. A lot of us brought lunch because the hot lunch always seemed poisonous. I got picked on so much, but I trilled to have whatever my mom tossed in my lunchbox. The few times she forgot or couldn't pack lunch because she was so sick while pregnant with my sister, I was miserable. It's been 23 years and the words "chicken teriyaki" makes me nauseous. I still remember exactly what they looked, smelled, and tasted like. There were 4 nuggets of this strange, flat, grey/pink stuff that were so rubbery I could HEAR my teeth breaking as I took a bite. They were perfectly flat like rolled out dough and cookie cutters. The nuggets were just chunks of "meat" with no breading, and were covered in this slimey, transparent, grey/brown "sauce," and they had black lines across them, line the ones food stylists paint on with shoe polish to make the food look fresh off the grill. It tasted like pure chemicals, made my mouth tingle. I only took 2 bites, but for hours afterward the inside of my mouth felt slippery (like accidentally getting bleach on your hands) even after si brushed my teeth. The scary part is, the psychotic little bullies loved "teriyaki chicken" days.
Damn, I feel really bad for Grace. I watch your videos consistently and I think there’s been like 5 separate videos that you’ve made or even more about how Grace’s classmates have made fun of her for something. I hope she’s not getting bullied. I hope for the sake of the child’s mental that these are just skits and fake context cause if that’s not the case please make sure she’s not getting bullied because the comments you’ve said other kids have made to her have been made to me and it’s because I’ve been bullied. Anyways hope the video is just for clout if that’s the case and that it’s not real. Stay safe Grace!! We love you!!!
I love that she can go to you and say that without anyone feeling like they’re the bad guy. I know my mom would hate it if I ever insinuated that she didn’t love me. Great job mama!
Honestly, it doesn't even stop there. My mom taught me to cook as a teenager so I could survive university (and life) without constantly buying food, and it was just a really great way for us to bond. She'd often drop off ingredients while I was at university, and cooking became one of my favourite things to do. Sometimes, when I had things that were about to go bad, I would call my mom, and we'd talk about possible things I could make. In my last year and a half at university, I lived with another person whose mom would make them food every week for the whole week or send them money to buy food and whenever they saw my mom had only send whatever she's cooked that day and then a bunch of ingredients to cook there after they would look at me with pity and their mom did they same.
But guess what the good thing your mom left you is the life skill to actually cook and be independent for yourself no need to spend what you could save or buy something you may need later on. Who knows maybe in the future with family you won’t have a spouse who’ll not say bad things about your cooking. 😊

I always had a cold/pack lunch bc school lunches were expensive. PBJ chips a Kit Kat and a juice box. I was always so jealous of the kids who got school lunch, but it actually ended up that kids who got school lunch every day were mostly getting it for free because they were below the poverty line :(
You’re a great mother. I know you don’t want to show her that your love is depended on home lunch but I got bullied really badly in 4th grade. I had just moved to a new school and the first thing that was said when I walked into school was “she’s such a nerd why did she bring so many books” I had brought all the books my old school had supplied me with and the new school didn’t use really any of them so I just didn’t know what to bring.
