My husband died from amiodarone; he developed pulmonary fibrosis-it kills! So it should not exist! Now our young children have to go without 😢 .

Dronedarone is an alternative but less efficient. But still amiodarone can be used as at low dose to reduce side effects.

I’m talking to my doctor about Tikosyn / Dofetilde next week. Also, Amiodarone is causing me to gain weight - YUCK! I’m thankful to be stabilized, but I’d rather have ablation than remain on Amiodarone too much longer.

Yes, if you are taking Amiodarone for A Fib find a good Cardiac Electrophysiologist and have an ablation.
