What kind of wrap brand and size would you recommend for a 25lb 1 year old that's kinda tall. I want to get a new one since he isn't walking yet and don't want to waste my money on one that won't work

You probably want to get a base size wrap for your first wrap. Base size is determined by both you and your baby. Most people are a base 5, 6, or 7. I’m a 6. On average if you wear an xs/s size shirt you are a 5, M/L a size 6 and XL/2XL a size 7. The bigger baby your size may go up. I was about a 5.5 when baby was newborn, now my base is a solid 6.
Brand is harder. There are a lot of great brands, it depends on your aesthetic preference and budget really. Personally i don’t buy brand new wraps. They usually require some work to get them ok to wear (never wear baby in loom state wrap, you could mess up the wrap) and then it takes time to break the wrap in and get it floppy and soft. Broken in wraps are so much easier to use, especially for a beginner. I buy used wraps on eBay, Mercari, or on facebook babywearing swap groups. They are usually a much better price used as well. Win win!
