Time for another book signing vlog! If you want to learn how to do book signings like this, I go into detail in Plan a Profitable Book Launch: amzn.to/3BVWwWd
As someone who would love to do events like these in the future, I SO appreciate these vendor fair vlogs. They are very helpful and also super fun! I get so excited when you post another one. ❤️
TBH, you selling your books in person is my favorite kind of video you offer. LOL You're just so adorable in how personable and active you are. You really put EVERYTHING into it, and it's just fun to see you literally IN ACTION. I'm just here watching like: Go, Mandi! Go!
I've worked at craft events with a tent and for those occasions that are windy the best thing to do is to get the side covers for the tent. If you can't afford it or your 10 doesn't provide you with one then just get a decorative sheet or towel. That you can clip to the tent itself in the direction or the side that the wind is blowing the most. It diminished the annoyance of the Wind. When it comes to your tent flying away there are tent weights that you can purchase. if not just get regular dumbbells and tie them to the legs.
Just realized this unfolded like a story. The inciting incident is the fair. You go to the location, and then you face the first "pinch point," the line of cars. You're patient and get in. Then midpoint shift, the calm event is overtaken by huge gusts of winds. You face the 2nd pinch point when all you have to take down all your signs. The darkest moment is when you decide to put away all your decorations. Then at the climax, your tent nearly flies away, but thanks to your customers, they help save your tent. You finally make it home, rewarded with your profits. Great story!
I would love to see more vending vlogs. I am curious how it all works. I have a book coming out on Halloween. I will probably do vending fairs when I have more books out! :)
That looks like a fun vendor fair!!! I have a question, how much did your spend on shopping there? LOL!!! I couldn’t resist!!! You’re table looked awesome!!!!
When you figure up your profit, are you counting the cost of the actual books? Also, do you add in the cost of things like bags or whatever? I'm considering doing a fall fair, and I sold quite a few books the last time I did this one. I'm also considering other events like this,, but I feel like the profit needs to be decent to account for the prep and the time. Thanks for your insights! :)
I don't have bags (where I live there's a tax on bags and I don't want to get into that), but for this video in particular I didn't factor in costs to print the books. The reasoning why is a little complicated, but it's mostly due to how I track expenses. I'm hoping to take that into consideration for events next year though by adding printing costs into my Square app to automatically calculate expenses.
@@MandiLynnWrites I'm pretty awful with numbers, so I am excited to hear that Square can help you calculate expenses. I have it but I haven't really explored what it can do.

I love your honesty no bull included in your videos. Keep that up. It is rarer than you think. PS. I learned a lot from your video.
Love watching your vendor fair events videos and seeing how many books you sold and your sales.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!
Do you still do vendor fairs or book signings? I’d love to see more! Great job!
