I asked one of my friends who's a dj the exact same question. He told me when people are on drugs and listen to the extended version that minute of drum beats makes the beat stuck in they're head which makes the music more enjoyable.
Plus the build up makes the song better when it comes, like sex isn't as good without a bit of teasing and foreplay.. you don't just get straight into it if you want to do it right!

the guy is right.. the intro and outro is very cheap. This remix is good, but for me maya did a better job.
