This isn't a parody comic btw like The Boys. It simply is its own unique comic universe, but they can spoof other comics from time to time. Invincible even crossed over with Spider-Man.
Yeah. Boys universe doesnt have supes on same level as other 'superhero universes' out there. Boys are pretty low-powered compared to others. But thats fine. Most important thing - the story is on point. There is no reason for there to be more powerful supes. Homelander is intimidating enough.
Homelander is a supe. Omni man for a lack of a better word is a supe as well. But omni man has the power that would make homelander look ridiculous and embarrassing. Homelander is just a good villan.
The show doesn't give a close-up on it until much later, but Atom Eve's logo is the female simple with little electrons orbiting it. But in the more simplistic distance drawing, it just looks like the female symbol is Xed out, which is really confusing.
According to the producers there was a mix-up and the simplified designs for distant drawings ended up being used for almost every shot, regardless of distance (there are two or three scenes in season one where the correct symbol can be briefly seen); thankfully it was fixed for the Atom Eve special and season two.
It is pretty early in the series, so unless the watcher is familiar with DC justice league which most of the powers are based, it seems would be easy for many not yet know shapeshifting was a standard Martian ability.
Atom Eve's logo is supposed to be the female symbol _with electron orbits around it_ (three in the books, two in the adaptation), but due to a mix-up between the design team and the animators the simplified design intended for distant shots ended up being used for most of the close up shots in season one (we can briefly see the correct symbol in two or three scenes in the whole season), so it ended up looking like it was crossed out. Thankfully this was fixed for the Atom Eve special and for season two.
"Invincible" is a MASTERCLASS in subverting expectations, I remember reading the comics in the early 2000's and it always keeps you wanting to see where the narrative is going and you can almost never guess AND the subversion is almost always worth the dissonance. For a palate cleanser of a super hero show that's a little more light hearted (and much more weird) try "Doom Patrol". To give you an example of the weirdness, one of the recurring characters is a Sentient, Teleporting, Genderqueer Street named Danny. Yes, Street.
Easily one of, if not THE best line in the show came from the tryouts for the Guardians. "I'm gonna assume that was a joke and I dont have to beat your ass until you call me Dad again." And the fact it came from the voice of Cyborg makes it ten times better

As an Invincible girly growing up, this show releasing on Prime made me cry. The casting, acting, action, characters and story are all STELLAR. JK Simmons is the ONLY PERSON who could play Omni-Man IMO I freaking love him as an actor
Invincible's pilot is so incredibly average and just feels like a generic show about "not the justice league" and then just flips LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU KNOW AND EXPECT ON ITS HEAD in the last moments to the point where you cannot stop watching. Hats off to everyone involved for doing that so seamlessly.
Drakblood is supposed to be reference to Etrigan who always speaks in rhyme, that is where is speech pattern comes from. As for Amber, if you continue the series, you will learn that they wrote her crapply and yes, she has weird dialogue and it is supposed to make her look insightful and like she calls people out but comes off as a smart aleck. Her comic character was the typical girl who just waits for her super hero man to come home and they tried to flip the script on her with that (and race flipped her and made her the the only insufferable character, not the best move for diversity) and screwed it up.
don't spoil it 😮 she somehow didn't know it was gonna be violently gory, seems like Natalie's avoided pretty much any context EDIT: The Patreon exists, nvm lol
Well, you also have to consider this; and it makes sense. Yes the Government CAN and SHOULD be questioning him, except Nolan is this universe's equivalent to Superman. If Superman just decided to NOT want to be questioned, can anyone actually STOP him from getting up and walking out?? That's rhetorical actually because they can't. The entire U.S. Military could be waiting outside with tanks, planes and even ships on the coast and he'd just breeze through them like dead leaves falling off a tree. NO ONE's stopping him if he decided he's done talking; especially if HE had already killed every other member of the Justice league. This is Omni-Man; he told them "his" story and if they don't believe him that's just too bad. He is GOING to go home.

OMG you're FINALLY reacting to Invincible!! Episode 8 is a rollercoaster of emotions!!!
“Palate cleansing in process” 😂 That’s a like right there. Perfection 🤣
For a palate cleanser of a super hero show that's a little more light hearted (and much more weird) try "Doom Patrol".
To give you an example of the weirdness, one of the recurring characters is a Sentient, Teleporting, Genderqueer Street named Danny. Yes, Street.
I love Doom Patrol
Easily one of, if not THE best line in the show came from the tryouts for the Guardians.
"I'm gonna assume that was a joke and I dont have to beat your ass until you call me Dad again."
And the fact it came from the voice of Cyborg makes it ten times better
It's about time Natalie. Loved it. Hope you like it. Soviet Superman goes bonkers.
When both Nat and the editor thought this was going to be a relaxing show. Haha
Also that canned tuna edit *chefs kiss*
Also highly reccomend hazbin hotel! A great show
Heck yeah
Angel Dust is irritating, and the writing is childish. One of the main characters is a lesbian named Vaggie. That's something a 13yr old would write.
@@Eidlones also I just watched the first episode because why would I pay money to watch a show with a character called vagina, the music was literally ‘generic Disney song #3’ also the fact I can remember every other main characters name except the main main character shows how compelling she is
@@mranima748 it's Vaggie
@@daurydavis3983 yeah vaggie’s name is so clearly a play on vagina, her original name was gonna be vagyna, also it isn’t homophobic to criticise vaggies name
The edits are just 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
Tenzin be like...
Not all “CARTOONS” are like sweet sunshine, and innocent. There are some that’s even darker than this. Only cartoons that are designed for kids are like SpongeBob, loony rooms, or Tom and jerry.
i love when anime fans get triggered
@@girlsdrinkfeck I am no where near triggered I am just stating a fact here 😑
@@NICKCAMP04 i didnt day u was
@@girlsdrinkfeck You replied to this comment with those words. What else were you saying? At least own up to what you say 🙄
here’s hoping she takes the dive into anime next 🙌🔥🍻
FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood (dub) or Attack on Titan (sub) would be great to start
She won't do anime due to a higher risk of issues regarding copyright unfortunately :)
@@danishprince2760thank god
Atom Eve is a great character and it’s so cool what she can do with her powers.
YEEEEEESSSSSSS
As an Invincible girly growing up, this show releasing on Prime made me cry. The casting, acting, action, characters and story are all STELLAR. JK Simmons is the ONLY PERSON who could play Omni-Man IMO
I freaking love him as an actor
Invincible's pilot is so incredibly average and just feels like a generic show about "not the justice league" and then just flips LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU KNOW AND EXPECT ON ITS HEAD in the last moments to the point where you cannot stop watching. Hats off to everyone involved for doing that so seamlessly.
That scene with Omni-man taking out the Guardians is brutal.
Wow, shout out to Cameron for this one. The editing had me in stitches all through the video!
Nolan lays it out in episode 2. "Earth isn't YOURS to conquer..."
don't spoil it 😮 she somehow didn't know it was gonna be violently gory, seems like Natalie's avoided pretty much any context EDIT: The Patreon exists, nvm lol
@@jordanromesburg6819 She is done with the season on Patreon probably.
u think spoiling things are cool huh?
@@arrgggod4656 No, I think proper spelling and grammar are cool. If it's posted on YT, she's ahead on Patreon.
@@LordVolkov I forgot about the Patreon, so I stand corrected there, spoil away 😂 but c'mon my guy, grammar facism is very 2010's of you
Well, you also have to consider this; and it makes sense.
It's not a cartoon....it's ANIMATION!!! THERE'S A DIFFERENZ!!
It’s a 2d animated media, it’s a cartoon
There isn't a difference, cartoons are animation
18:08 I loved how he said 'meee' that shit was so smooth
If you wanna keep the animated train going, Hazbin Hotel should be on the docket 😬
How has she not seen or heard of invincible until now? When season 1 came out you couldn't go on youtube without seeing clips. Does she not watch things unless it's for her channel?
FIRST🎉
This is exciting! Invincible is one of my favorite comics, and the show is just spectacular. Hope you enjoy the whole show!
