Awesome video! The diagram says you can potentially recieve wifi from client 100m then send another 100m, potentially bridging 200m. But im guessing the LBE will need to be pointing at the client router to recieve the signal so it could only send it back in the same direction?

@thorloki2271 Hello! Thank you for watching our video on extending your Wi-Fi network using the UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 in client mode with OpenWrt firmware. Regarding your comment, the configuration demonstrated in the video is not in bridge mode but rather in router mode using OpenWrt firmware. In the demonstrated setup, the UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 device is configured as a router rather than a bridge. This means that it will assign its own IP addresses to devices connected to its LAN ports or Wi-Fi network, creating a separate network segment. To clarify, in this setup, your desktop's IP address will be assigned by the UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 device itself, not by the main access point (AP) of your Wi-Fi network. The UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 acts as a router, providing network services and IP addressing for devices connected to it. If you prefer to have your desktop's IP address assigned by the main AP and be part of the same IP subnet as the main network, you would need to configure the UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 in bridge mode. In bridge mode, the device will act as a transparent bridge, forwarding traffic from the main AP without performing routing functions or assigning separate IP addresses. Please note that configuring the UBIQUITI LBE-5AC-GEN2 in bridge mode or changing the network configuration may require different settings and procedures. It's important to consult the device's documentation or seek further guidance from the OpenWrt community or UBIQUITI support to ensure the correct configuration for your specific requirements. We hope this clarifies the setup shown in the video. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask. Thank you for your comment, and we appreciate your support!
