The major negative for me, is how many emotional beats were skipped, when they were so obviously needed. We waited a week wondering how Boba would react to that cantina full of his people getting destroyed. I was imagining him walking in, dropping his helmet, and falling to his knees surrounded by dead bodies. We intercut with flashbacks of him alone in the arena on Geonosis surrounded by bodies, including his father’s, seeing the few scattered clone bodies in the arena. The walls of the arena closing in like the teeth of the Sarlacc as he’s trapped with these memories of the death he’s destined to face. As he looks up, he sees his father flying away from him as he reaches out for him. How powerful it would’ve been to cut back to present, Boba kneeled the same position he kneeled over his father’s head. Now he gets up, puts his helmet on his head, and without another word, gets ready for the final battle. The arrival of Grogu would’ve been far more powerful, If Luke were there with him. Luke telling Mando that he and Grogu both sensed Cobb getting shot, and the cantina being blown up, Luke knowing it wouldn’t be right to make Grogu choose, if the death of his friends was on his conscience, Luke knowing this is his home as well, and he has to fight for the next kid who dreams of escaping and being great like himself, and his father before him. Boba is beaten down, and a Pyke is about to decapitate him, When a green saber blocks the hit, Boba looks up to see a Jedi now saving his life, instead of taking one like Mace did with Jango. The final showdown with Boba and Bane ending with Boba about to kill Cad, Mando throwing him the Darksaber. When he remembers the dent in his head, hearing the memories of their final encounter in the Clone Wars, when he was also defending a town of people from Cad. Bane tells Boba to kill like he was made to. Boba lifts the Darksaber, and has a flash of the purple lightsaber that killed Jango, as Cad laughs. Boba realizes he was made into a killer because he was surrounded by then, and he won’t do Bane the satisfaction of being what he trained him to be, he cuts the oxygen tubes on Bane’s neck, forcing him to walk back into the desert the way he arrived. Bane says he’ll always be in the shadow of his father, and he’ll always be a disappointment, and that this is far from over. Boba replying with a variation of his earlier words in Mandalorian: “Fate sometimes steps in to rescue the wretched. But sometimes it lets it rot, buried in sand, and forgotten.” These are things I expected to happen, not because I think I’m a better writer, but because I feel they served the character and the show established, and would’ve brought everything together, instead of focusing so much on side characters, and skipping any moments of potential depth or emotion for Boba.
yeah you're definitely on the right path here. I feel like they got triggered by the fact they could not do a violent, brutal Boba Fett show. So, instead, they accepted their own mediocrity of creating setups by bringing beloved characters and paying it off with characters reuniting. Honestly, it feels lazy. Not just the fan-service (which I actually don't mind being thrown into the show), but the script. Fett's themes of regret, struggle with leadership, abandon and the use of violence are not explored at all. Most of them are reduced to one line or one scene and everything else is there just to exist. You don't feel any sort of tangibility within these amazing sets and production design that a show like this has. It is decent fun, sure. But it could've been so much more if the people in charge believed they were actually telling a story instead of just crossing out points in a list.
Absolutely agree. Especially, the Grogu/Luke staff. Seems like s2 undone. Happy they are together again but not about how they did it. Would have prefered that Grogu stayed with Luke longer and he comes back in season 3 and somehow saves the with his better trained force abilities
Exactly that’s my problem too! I understand why Grogu choose the chain mail and it’s great seeing them together again but it just feels like the ending of season 2 is undone now!
S2 isn’t undone at all. The story of the mandalorian is the journey between those two characters and their relationship during that journey. It’s the entire essence of the show. Characters drive a story and here, Grogu chose to return/be with the mando after having begun training again. Just because he did that so quick, which isn’t even clear given the lack of a timeline since S2’s events, doesn’t negate the previous story. It’s just another step in this journey. Even then, so many people complained how they don’t want to see a cgi version of luke or other past characters predominate new sw content and Grogu’s choice ensures that won’t happen, but still gave the audience that type of sw content.
Seeing Grogu in this episode was annoying. The total point of Mando Season 2, was to get Grogu to the Jedi, and that's all over now. I love Grogu, but I don't watch Star Wars just because of Grogu. I watch Star Wars because I like Star Wars.
I don't see enough people talking about this. Grogu should not be with mando. He should be getting trained with luke. The fact that mando and grogu are now reunited again makes me completly change my point of view of season two of the Mandalorian. Its pointless now.
This Season is like a b-. Some fantastic moments(Episode 5,6 and most of the flashbacks) and a very thin overall current day story, of which the conclusion was kinda rushed...(I still liked most of the action in the finale, but it could have been better). I'm also not sure I like Grogu being back with Mando so soon and in such an anticlimactic way...
Not especially. A lot of it in the finale was just nonsense blaster fire. The hand to hand scenes were the best because of course they were, but they were so few and far between
The episode lowkey felt like an episode of power rangers but with star wars themes. There of course was some cool stuff in it, but the stakes didn’t feel nearly high enough. The cad bane fight in particular frustrated me because it wasn’t nearly long enough. The fight felt less than 15 seconds long. Completely unacceptable for a character that is that cool.
Although I agree with the lack of character development and payoff of some of the characters they tried to build, I don’t agree about the lack of an army being an issue. If anything, that makes the plight have higher stakes, *because* the odds are stacked against them.
I enjoyed it overall but I do agree it's weird that Grogu and Mando reunited already. The culmination of season 2 was Luke taking Grogu and it was resolved in a different show? (or Mandalorian 2.5 if you wanna consider it that). I enjoyed the episodes with Mando and Grogu but totally expected it to be spread over season 3 with them finally reuniting in that finale for a huge payoff.
I personally loved this season. So many memorable moments, the return of Cad Bane, Boba Fett being a badass, and the little tease for Mandalorian Season 3. So for me at least, I loved this show, and I can't wait for a season 2.
Yes it had good moments, but all of those moments you mentioned are the last 3 episodes. First 4 where pretty mediocre (1 of them was pretty good, cant remember). Also the 2 best eipsodes where without Boba which is kinda a problem..
We can now confirm bringing in cad bane was complete fan service, he shows up for like 5 minutes of screen time and then just dies. He either should have been one of the main villains the whole time or not show up at all.
@@nickpasseri7736 because they are just gonna go for fan service rather than good storytelling. They did this in season 2 where every episode was just next cameo after the next
@@merpleberg Everything is not fan service you mor0n. A lot of the characters & ideas the appear are the creators choice REGARDLESS of what fans want. Mando S1 & 2 have great stories.
@@-Anonymous-. ahsoka in the jedi episode contributed literally nothing towards din’s development as a character and literally could’ve been replaced by anyone else. Boba fett has some fight scenes in the tragedy but nothing else and is really just there to setup his show. Bo Katan could’ve had an interesting moment where she wanted to fight Din to reclaim the darksaber which also would’ve made moff gideon more intimidating as he manipulates her into fighting him but that went nowhere. Luke skywalker was a big deus ex machina that completely squashed the stakes and threat of the dark troopers.
@@-Anonymous-. mando s1 had a great and simple story, mando s2 had some good parts but overall was diminished by the overuse of old recurring characters
This is a D+ for me. It was just so bland and repetitive I was so close to turning it off. I was laughing at the serious moments because I literally couldn’t take it seriously with some of the dialogue and characters and even the action just being so clunky. I really wanted to like this series but it was just so boring and didn’t work for me.
@@wolvesboy87a92 yeah i found it annoying how NONE OF THE PROTAGONISTS DIED. It really made it feel like it had no stakes and just felt pointless. No side characters died from my recollection, or not enough to make it memorable. Didn't even feel like they got injured at all. Just ridiculous writing that made it feel like fan fiction
I agree Grogu should have stayed with Luke and that's it, but Disney has merchandise to sell. At least we know now that the Rancor in ROTJ, was a senior citizen Rancor on it's last legs when luke killed it lol
I feel like a Cad Bane show would actually be worth it. We now know that he survives throughout the entire Galactic Civil War, so it would be cool to see him take on missions. I know it would be a second bounty hunter show, but Cad Bane is ruthless and very intimidating. It was just be nice to see what he was up to during this time
My biggest flaw with the snow is that it has no identity, I have no idea what it’s supposed to be about. There’s some cool moments for sure, but it overall doesn’t flow that well
They could of saved the episode if boba showed some emotion and lashed out at cad bane, that would of gave the show a bit more depth showing bobas was effected by it
I think the show was not at all what people were expecting, including myself, but I have come to definitely enjoy what we got. In particular episodes 5, 6 and 7 but I still like the rest of it.
I think the finale would have been perfect if they added a flashback to the boba/bane dual. Seeing the cut scene of bane putting bobas dent in his helmet would have gave more depth to the character of cad bane instead it feels like he wasn’t done justice.
Spoilers Cad bane was easily my favorite part of this episode. Everything about his character was just perfect. Also, his death scene was very well done. The rest of the episode was all right, but cad bane was just amazing.
Maybe cause last 2 episodes was Mando season 3, completely different than the 4 episodes before it. One thing is nice thg: We can be pretty confident that Mando season 3 will be a blast, from all this
I loved this finale. I honestly thought this fight was, so cool (Cad Bane). I liked the pikes because they were in clone wars and they work for maul. I loved this finale, but I understand your frustration.
I completely agree with this season analysis. While I haven’t watched all of the Clone Wars and Rebels, I’ve seen enough to give me confidence that Dave Filoni can not only pull off the right kind of fan service but he can develop character arcs, raise stakes and hit emotional resonance. So, while this show was a real missed opportunity, I still have hope that the other shows can get back on track.
The big action scenes felt so formulaic, like they had been taken directly from a marvel film. Also, can someone tell Disney that just because something is sci-fi, doesn’t mean it belongs in Star Wars
… right, they should’ve just imprisoned him to use him later, would also make sense with the whole pacifist boba transformation, the way it was I didn’t quite get the point
@@aristonaragao3171 I think it was a great choice like boba still has his best and cad bane was like in his past so his past shining trough at that moment made sense. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say
Loved the idea of bringing in all these star wars characters together but I didn't enjoy the way they executed their actions and some of the relationships that were made with the characters.
The whole Season of Boba Fett seemed like they missed the mark by trying to develop him into an unselfish hero. It would have been far more entertaining for them to have embraced him as a rogue crime lord who takes over and eliminates rivals that challenge him. Instead, the show felt like it had no focus and no plan other than some cameos and special effects. It’s a missed opportunity for me.
I'd prefer Cad Bane to be in the bacta tank. I really hope he's not dead, he's such an amazing character and he looked SO GREAT on live action, I was amazed by how scary an cool he looked
Cad bane should be the main villain. He is the only one that has a close connection with him and his father. Cad bane is basically what boba would be if he never had a change of heart. Boba moved on from the past while bane stayed in the past. I felt if they explored this more, his death would be much more rewarding. Inagine having a flash back episode and its basically a live version of the clone wars deleted scene where fett got his dent? Missed opportunity
Sean! Great review of the final episode of Bobba Fett. This is the gold standard as it pretty much summed up the finale perfectly. We totally agreed with your assessment. IGN gave this finale a 9. 😄😄😄
Have to agree. It was a fun series to watch but, Boba being such a badass, I was hoping for compelling, weighty Sopranos mafia-type stuff. The last episode conflict was just too light. A couple of Gamorrean Guards get easily pushed off a cliff, some mod kids that feel totally out of place on Tatooine, a handful of rag-tag people from a local town, and Peli running around doing goofy stuff. Underwhelming finale.
Stationing all of boba’s forces across the city wasn’t to make it secure. It was to lookout for the pykes so they aren’t ambushed since they’re heavily outnumbered. They only had so many troops so of course they would be spread thin
I enjoyed the show but I agree that BobF somehow is too slow and boring while also being rushed and undercooked. Fantastic ingredients, still tasty, but it's sad knowing how much better it could have been.
The show should have been marketed as The Turmoils of Tatooine (saw this on a comment, pretty good idea) or something like that, and said that Boba Fett was the main character but the show wasn’t 100% focused on him
I personally think the main problem they faced when making this show was the fact that Boba Fett before his show was essentially the exact same type of character Mando was, especially in Mando Season 1. Think about it, they both have Mandalorian armor, they both are feared bounty hunters, they both are mysterious and never remove their helmets, etc. So I’m guessing that for the sake of not wanting the Book of Boba Fett to seem like a straight up carbon copy of Mando, they decided to instead go this route of Boba wanting to control an empire instead of working for one. But even then, that’s still a story that could’ve worked, but it simply didn’t. Idk what was going on with the writing for this show, but it was honestly a bit all over the place. And it’s sad to see them do this to Boba Fett because he’s one of my favorite Star Wars characters, he just got done dirty in the movies.
This episode was really strong as a finale. While it wasn’t as good as the previous two episodes, it was certainly satisfying! I loved everything that went on! Seeing Boba and Din work together was awesome, the whole action scene was awesome, and seeing Din reunite with Grogu was heartwarming. I loved that Peli got involved in this fight. Seeing Boba on the Rancor was unbelievably awesome! The duel between Boba and Cad was great and I loved the ending to that duel, even though I would have preferred Cad to still be alive! I loved the ending with Din and Grogu! While there was a lot going on, I was satisfied and finally gave me another episode with Boba Fett!
I think Grogu returning to Mando only reinforces the plot line of the first two Mando seasons. The mission of those two seasons was returning Grogu to “his kind”, which Din followed through with. But as we learn through their strong connection, Grogu’s real home is with Mando. In that way the mission of returning Grogu back to his family is fulfilled as he finds a new home with Mando.
He has no emotional ability whatsoever, little things most skilled directors would think of, little things if you added them to this show would amp up the emotion, RR doesn't even do.
I was kinda enjoying it as just a Boba Fett show where we follow him transitioning from ruthless bounty hunter to respectful leader, with not much to do with the rest of the Star Wars galaxy. But no, we have to get Ashoka, Mando, and Cad Bane. Because we can’t have Boba Fett be developed in his show.
I agree to an extent. I am one of the few people that have enjoyed the show from the start. Is it the best show? No! But I am easy to entertain. I feel the problem is these shows are just too short 6-7 episodes, with not enough room to breathe, or setup things that lead up to the finale. Trying to tell too much story, in a short amount of time. I say at least 10-12 episodes is plenty. It felt that way in Hawkeye, and Captain America And The Winter Soldier.
It was a "meh" the pacing was expectedly rushed. I definitely agree with all your key points. Had all 7 episodes been directed by 1-2 people only it probably would have had consistency at least. I saw, I appreciated, but I wasn't invested.
This show feels like the first 4 episodes were a boba fett mini interlude just to give some back story on boba before season 3 of mando, and then the last 3 episodes are really the first 3 episodes of mando season 3. This finale easily could’ve been another mando episode where he goes on a side mission to help his friend boba and he reunites with grogu before he is on his way.
I really love your reviews! I felt the same way that they could’ve executed the show better than what we witness. I also feel like we needed more villains for the season finale. I wish we could have seen a new Sith Lord with cad bane to assist the syndicate. Or the writers could have introduce grand admiral thrawn as the major villain (set him up perfectly for other Star Wars show) I’m not even a fan of boba fett, because I feel like he’s a overhype Star Wars character. I haven’t really seen him face anyone amazing beside Luke skywalker and fail terrible against him. Lol saying that, I really like his story arc of him changing into a better person with honor. And I wish we could’ve have seen mando reunite with grogu in “the mandalorian season 3 instead of “book of boba fett”. But I love all the Star Wars big gems that mando is receiving too!
Remember how Fennec asked Boba if he had credits to buy muscle? He literally never spent a dime on muscle since everyone fought for free. Why not spend some credits on bounty hunters, Bossk, Dengar etc? He needed an army and supposedly all his credits are just sitting in a bank….
Ok. I respect your opinion but I really enjoyed this episode. It was honestly exactly what I wanted. Second best of the season for me (after episode 6, which is the best star wars has ever been).
Three city blocks was the scope of this war so it was very underwhelming. Only the pykes the generic bad guys were ever killed. No casualties on Boba's team so i felt no tension in this fight. Felt cheap
My only thought on Fennick taking out the leaders was maybe that is showing that she is going dark? And she will then turn against Boba next season. But if that was the case then there should have been a scene where she says they should take them out but then Boba says no to show mercy but she does it anyway
Man I’m just totally on a different wave length than most everyone else on this season. I thought this episode was great - I get the story wasn’t great, but I felt the victories well enough.

Luke knowing this is his home as well, and he has to fight for the next kid who dreams of escaping and being great like himself, and his father before him.
Boba is beaten down, and a Pyke is about to decapitate him,
When a green saber blocks the hit,
Boba looks up to see a Jedi now saving his life, instead of taking one like Mace did with Jango.
The final showdown with Boba and Bane ending with Boba about to kill Cad, Mando throwing him the Darksaber.
When he remembers the dent in his head, hearing the memories of their final encounter in the Clone Wars, when he was also defending
a town of people from Cad.
Boba replying with a variation of his earlier words in Mandalorian:
“Fate sometimes steps in to rescue the wretched.
But sometimes it lets it rot, buried in sand, and forgotten.”
These are things I expected to happen, not because I think I’m a better writer, but because I feel they served the character and the show established, and would’ve brought everything together, instead of focusing so much on side characters, and skipping any moments of potential depth or emotion for Boba.
This sounds awesome
yeah you're definitely on the right path here.
Disney hire this guy now
Man that actually would’ve been so cool!
This is so sick and actually has good character development whooda thunk
Absolutely agree. Especially, the Grogu/Luke staff. Seems like s2 undone. Happy they are together again but not about how they did it. Would have prefered that Grogu stayed with Luke longer and he comes back in season 3 and somehow saves the with his better trained force abilities
they have not just undone S2 but they kinda did it off screen, if someone only want to watch mandalorian they will be surprise at the beginning of S3
Definitely felt they should’ve saved Grogu return for Mando season 3.
@JOVANKA---------👇🥰 begone bot
Honestly, I was excited to see Mando season 3 start without Grogu. But nvm, I guess.
@@Dios-IV Taken care of 😊
How are the flashbacks good? Boba was enslaved and then he forgave them for no reaskn
One thing I did like was the action, it was well done, well choreographed, especially seeing Boba and Mando are fighting together
Not especially. A lot of it in the finale was just nonsense blaster fire. The hand to hand scenes were the best because of course they were, but they were so few and far between
Nah Rodriguez fumbled the bag, the action was weird and there was too much slow motion
Yeah once again the vespa mods ruined every scene they were in
@@ArtVandelayOfficial mos espa vespas
Just by that thumbnail I can tell how you felt about this one oh boy😳😂. One of the best parts of this channel imo
Although I agree with the lack of character development and payoff of some of the characters they tried to build, I don’t agree about the lack of an army being an issue. If anything, that makes the plight have higher stakes, *because* the odds are stacked against them.
Best thing about this shoe was the theme song
@@lillvesp that is true
@@lillvesp episodes 2 and 4 were fantastic, and 1 and 3 were good
We can now confirm bringing in cad bane was complete fan service, he shows up for like 5 minutes of screen time and then just dies. He either should have been one of the main villains the whole time or not show up at all.
My thoughts exactly. After episode 2, I thought I was going to love this show. Now it just feels empty, and I'm also concerned for Mando S3 now.
how could you be worried for Mando s3 when Mando was the best part of this show?
The droids shooting at people running in a straight line was especially "cringe". No one gets hit. 😄
It felt like instead of planning the series out, the directors made their episode then handed it off to the next director to continue the story.
I agree Grogu should have stayed with Luke and that's it, but Disney has merchandise to sell. At least we know now that the Rancor in ROTJ, was a senior citizen Rancor on it's last legs when luke killed it lol
Man they rly screwed this up…
I feel like a Cad Bane show would actually be worth it. We now know that he survives throughout the entire Galactic Civil War, so it would be cool to see him take on missions. I know it would be a second bounty hunter show, but Cad Bane is ruthless and very intimidating. It was just be nice to see what he was up to during this time
They did Cad Bane dirty….
Not really
My biggest flaw with the snow is that it has no identity, I have no idea what it’s supposed to be about. There’s some cool moments for sure, but it overall doesn’t flow that well
They could of saved the episode if boba showed some emotion and lashed out at cad bane, that would of gave the show a bit more depth showing bobas was effected by it
Well that’s what he did soo… and the episode was amazing
@@oXRaptorzXo I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍
I think the show was not at all what people were expecting, including myself, but I have come to definitely enjoy what we got.
Spoilers
Cad bane was easily my favorite part of this episode. Everything about his character was just perfect. Also, his death scene was very well done.
The rest of the episode was all right, but cad bane was just amazing.
it was so weird that fennec just disappeared for 40 min
I "love" how Boba goes to grab his Rancor instead of Slave One..... like it's "cool" but not logical.
Final verdict: it was good but felt a real switch of turns compared to the last too episodes 🤨🤨🤨
Maybe cause last 2 episodes was Mando season 3, completely different than the 4 episodes before it. One thing is nice thg: We can be pretty confident that Mando season 3 will be a blast, from all this
@@lord2.0works more like mando season 2.5
I loved this finale. I honestly thought this fight was, so cool (Cad Bane). I liked the pikes because they were in clone wars and they work for maul. I loved this finale, but I understand your frustration.
I completely agree with this season analysis. While I haven’t watched all of the Clone Wars and Rebels, I’ve seen enough to give me confidence that Dave Filoni can not only pull off the right kind of fan service but he can develop character arcs, raise stakes and hit emotional resonance. So, while this show was a real missed opportunity, I still have hope that the other shows can get back on track.
I seriously love this set up
We'd put Boba Fett under both seasons of Mandalorian, but right in the middle of our Disney show favourites
I completely agree with you, the way the season developed it should have been two seasons
The big action scenes felt so formulaic, like they had been taken directly from a marvel film. Also, can someone tell Disney that just because something is sci-fi, doesn’t mean it belongs in Star Wars
It’s not Disney you tell, it’s Lucasfilm and Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Cad bane was so wasted
I completely agree with your take on Mando and Grogu. I feel like it kind of takes away some of the emotional weight of the season 2 finale.
I enjoyed the season finale I just hope we see Cad Bane again
This was a great plus for the Boba Fett franchise……hope more to come !!!
“WOW! We’re up to almost TWENTY people now for a war!”🤣🤣🤣
We needed one more episode, I guess. However, I enjoyed everything, very good! Happy to be alive and enjoy what I thought I would never get.
Honestly I loved the finale episode it was what I wanted for the final episode and this is what I wanted for episode 1,2,3,and 4
I’m going to be so damn mad if that’s all we get of Cad Bane in live action
Same here there’s so much potential with him
Probably gonna throw him in series that’s set before boba fett
… right, they should’ve just imprisoned him to use him later, would also make sense with the whole pacifist boba transformation, the way it was I didn’t quite get the point
@@aristonaragao3171 I think it was a great choice like boba still has his best and cad bane was like in his past so his past shining trough at that moment made sense. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say
@Jayden Kleiberg he’s probably alive because no one can really die in start wars if people like them
Loved the idea of bringing in all these star wars characters together but I didn't enjoy the way they executed their actions and some of the relationships that were made with the characters.
Sean video idea: Most anticipated movies/tv shows of every month
Imagine killing off Cad Bane
It wasn’t gonna be a major space battle with super lasers. What we got was great for the type of story it was trying to tell
Why didn’t boba acknowledge that the two gamoreans died? They just died and no one ever mentioned it
Stationing all of boba’s forces across the city wasn’t to make it secure.
The show should have been marketed as The Turmoils of Tatooine (saw this on a comment, pretty good idea) or something like that, and said that Boba Fett was the main character but the show wasn’t 100% focused on him
23:31 *cavalry (not calvary)
I honestly forgot those other crime lords made a deal with Boba because that was in episode 4, and the two episodes after were Mandalorian season 3
I was disappointed he didn’t hire an army of Mandalorian warriors. It would have been cool to see them go against an army of pykes.
I can’t believe they brought Cad Bane to live action to just kill him off the next episode 😭🤦♂️
Its Kingpin all over again! (And yes I don't care if he might still be alive).
@@wolvesboy87a92 he's still alive just blind that scene is literally in the comics word for word
While there was a lot going on, I was satisfied and finally gave me another episode with Boba Fett!
very good review and analysis. I share your frustrations with this show
Sean I felt the same! Thanks for the review.
I wish cad bane had lived but I understand his death he was 71 and his species that’s a very long time so he wouldn’t of lived much longer any way
I think Grogu returning to Mando only reinforces the plot line of the first two Mando seasons. The mission of those two seasons was returning Grogu to “his kind”, which Din followed through with. But as we learn through their strong connection, Grogu’s real home is with Mando. In that way the mission of returning Grogu back to his family is fulfilled as he finds a new home with Mando.
The one guy who did that twirl before he shoots the pikes was 10/10 cringe.
Robert Rodriguez is the problem, there I said it.
He has no emotional ability whatsoever, little things most skilled directors would think of, little things if you added them to this show would amp up the emotion, RR doesn't even do.
I always thought Cad Bane should have been written as Han Solo's antagonist. I'd watch a season of that
Cobb was in the Bantha tank at the end I believe
Love your videos man 👍
Cad Bane dying I don’t have an issue with, but I wish he was introduced earlier in the show so we saw more of him.
The mando episodes were the best ones lol
Feels almost as if the story got cut down in the writing or edit. As a story teller I agree with everything you are saying!
I saw, I appreciated, but I wasn't invested.
nah, the series was okay, like a 7/10, of course with the exception of the stellar episodes 5 and 6
Great episode, the payed off the scale they set up
This show feels like the first 4 episodes were a boba fett mini interlude just to give some back story on boba before season 3 of mando, and then the last 3 episodes are really the first 3 episodes of mando season 3. This finale easily could’ve been another mando episode where he goes on a side mission to help his friend boba and he reunites with grogu before he is on his way.
I was not invested in the story or the characters whatsoever and it left me less excited for the future of Star Wars than I was before
Final verdict: it sucked
So does mando though. Every character is incredibly stupid so the story can progress.

I really love your reviews! I felt the same way that they could’ve executed the show better than what we witness.
I also feel like we needed more villains for the season finale. I wish we could have seen a new Sith Lord with cad bane to assist the syndicate. Or the writers could have introduce grand admiral thrawn as the major villain (set him up perfectly for other Star Wars show)
I’m not even a fan of boba fett, because I feel like he’s a overhype Star Wars character.
100% agreed. Really felt disrespectful to the Boba character (and Cad Bane).
Imo there was a LOT that could've made the finale 10x BETTER & 10x EXCITING but in the still enjoyable to say the least.🙂
Three city blocks was the scope of this war so it was very underwhelming. Only the pykes the generic bad guys were ever killed. No casualties on Boba's team so i felt no tension in this fight. Felt cheap
We might see Mando going to Luke in the first episode of season 3 of mando, to understand why grogu came back to him I feel.
Same. I think this episode and this show are extremely underrated.
I'm planning to watch all the star wars shows in this order

2 :Mandalorian
3:Rebels
4:Visions

And then obi wan and ahsoka. Let me know about any other shows. (I'm in clone wars rt now.)
My main issue with this episode more then anything is the directing by Robert Rodriguez. Honestly everything just felt super awkward and cobbled together.
I still loved the show. Yeah it could've been better but the finale was still fun, Boba's development was interesting, from a hired killer to a leader, and Mandalorian S2.5 was enjoyable. It did rely on fan service(especially in the finale), but it's called that for a reason. I liked ep2 the most
Great vid Sean!
