I will reiterate my love for The Isle: I am willing to wait an additional seven years if necessary, all for the sake of The Isle becoming a truly phenomenal game.
I agree, there’s another game I’ve been following literally since its creation back in 2014/15 and it is still a WIP, having many redesigns and recodes along the way. I think it’s been 2-3 years since the creator announced they were gonna make a big update with lots of mechanics, and that update is still not here, yet I stay patient as I firmly believe in quality over quantity. (Note: the other game I speak of has only had one developer, recently 2, for the majority of its development so it is understandable for the long waits) Compared to that, waiting for The Isle updates is a piece of cake.
I was in that stream. When he turned into a stego, I typed something like "Oh are you gonna show us the stego charged swing" and he said "Oh you mean this?" And did it, It was my favorite part of the stream.
The isle is really going to a game, that i dont know how to describe but its awesome. The amount of content they are bring now, is kinda surprising like if dondi woke up.
The Isle Evrima is taking an interesting direction. I don't know how to feel about humans but I'm sure it will be super interesting. It already feels like a survival horror game at times and I love it so seeing it all in first person, defenseless would be interesting... I think they're going to take a similar direction to the original Jurassic Park novel! The novel is more brutal and feels more organic. It just feels so much real... And The Isle is going for a similar direction. I love it!
the isle now is amazing and enjoyable when u play it , u can rp , pvp , pve, and many more , and also new apex predators that will ambush you from every place , day or night , im really looking forward to this game in the future , and alse dondi promised us to add the ocean , and the firse ocean dino realeases is mosa
Hope breeding has a impact on genetic progression. There is little reason to nest right now. A genetic up-breeding system could give us more to do late game and improve social interaction. Would be cool if we have to find mates with the right genetics to breed with and improve over multiple generations. Maybe allow to use the smell mechanics to check for the right genetics combined with a mark territory ability.
I remember watching the devstream where they showed the images for the spino, it's not a leak. I thought it was in the patch notes somewhere too, but looked back quite a ways and couldn't find it. There's probably a clip of it on their past streams on twitch, I just don't have the patience to go back through them again to find it haha
Im still waiting for foliage physics to work. Cant imagine a good dinosaur game without bushes and high grass moving around you with you having no clue whats making it move. The option is also there in the settings, but turning it on doesnt do anything. I just want moving plants man xD
with humans its a great oppurtinity for jumpscares, youre walking through one of the abandoned buildings and BOOM raptor nest, so you know youre fucked

I really like this game and really think it has great potential. But quite often the game just lags out on you so much that it is barely playable. Idk what causes but I hope they could fix it so that the gameplay is more smooth. It is not the fps or ping from what I can see, stable at about 120fps at all maxed graphics and 30 ish ping. But dinos keeps flying around like crazy sometimes. Makes the game very annoying at times. But I still love the game and always excited for new stuff and really hope they add Rex soon. I wish too see some of those bigger dinos!
Realistically by the end of 2024 we should have Trex Trike Diablo Oviraptor Maiasaura And MAYBE Kentro but probably not. Considering its at the furthest point on the roadmap. And maybe some others.
I mean yea I prefer The Isle over PoT any day too since PoT isn't really my type of game but it has it's place, I don't really like comparing the two in terms of gameplay because they are so vastly different, The Isle is a far more detailed game in terms of animations or visuals in general, realism and survival while PoT is just something completely different with some survival mechanics, hence why a lot of people play both games.
my biggest grudge on the game rn is that its simply boring and if your skilled enough u can take down any dino as any dino ALMOST. but its only bec everything basically in the game atm is mid tier or smaller and ontop, the midtiers we do have are mostly on the smaller side. point is, were missing challenge, were missing those gameplay times where no matter what ur screwed, were missing the horror aspect.......
I would prefer that the devs focused on the main thing. DINOSAURS. We still don't even have a T.rex. I really dont care about anything related to humans at the moment. In the future why not but not now.

@huntercerny is not what I think, it's what i know. It's not like one or two people who swap between working on dinosaurs or humans, there are allocated jobs between individuals. In the same way you don't have a mechanical engineer designing the electrical components of a project just because it would be faster. They have people who's focus is on developing humans or dinosaurs so both are equally being produced bby their respective specialists. Speaking from the perspective of official isle qa. Dont act so knowledgeable

Legacy and Evrima are 2 different branches, the development of evrima started around 2020 give or take a year so no this game has not been developed for 13 years, it’s a lot bigger and more complex than legacy, they’re developing such a big game with a relatively small team which means it’s gonna take time but as you can see from the video it’s worth the wait, developing a game is hard, fixing a bug can create another one and while to you it seems like they’re doing nothing they’re actually fixing and optimising the game every day but most of the time the game does not cooperate, lag is nothing that can be fixed completely, some lag can be toned down if it’s caused by certain things in the game but most of the time it’s either your PC that can’t handle it or your bad ping, when this game is fully completed, no matter how long it takes it would be the best dinosaur survival game out there (unless you’re someone who enjoys care bearing in hotspots and chatting in global all day)
@@BLSwiftThief different branches same game, its the same game they have been developing from the day 1, they started developing isle - they did soo bad they had to redo codes for months because the codes they had were so in efficient they had a really hard time putting new stuff in like dinos. so they just started re writing the old code more efficiently than before using the latest version of unreal engine. *did you know that it was nearly impossible to change some dino stats in legacy without fking up weight for all of em?* if this was like rdr1 and rdr2 ur logic stand but what this is like rdr legacy and rdr. so its like an Early access after the Alpha version. the "game never released" is the keyword. its the same game- same vision- different engine- efficient code.......

its a shame this game has lost so many players it was a t eleven thousend at one time now its barely 4. Bad decisions cause this.
Every minute spent on people is time not spent fixing and making dinosaurs, which is why people are playing the game to begin with.
